Guest Reviews
- Jeff (10/5): Exceptional - It's clean, plenty of hot water, and good AC. A short walk to the Vatican
- Maria (5/5): okay but not ideal - decent location and relatively clean - very small
- no proper shower. shower is in the same cubicle as the toilet
- communication was very poor. difficult to contact them or receive any response from them
- no elevator for ground level
- Elin (8/5): Quiet and clean rooms in a nice area with excellent staff, close to "everything". - We had some issues checking in at first, but that was mainly due to it being late at night when we arrived and we didn't read the instructions properly. Got excellent help when I called the number we had, and she was very quick to respond to any further questions I had during our stay. I would absolutely book here again, loved the area and the friendly staff! We would've liked two separate covers instead of one big. I'm sure we would've got it if we thought about asking for it earlier than our last night... :D Would also have liked a bit clearer instructions regarding the AC. We didn't see the remote control to it, since it was located right beside the entrance door. But we got excellent help from customer service!
- Tommaso (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (10/5): Nice - staff is very good
- Roberto (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sara (4/5): Disappointed - Poorly constructed bathroom. The staff were not helpful. The hotel doesn’t qualify for 5 star at all Location
- Paulea (9/5): Superb -
- Paulea (9/5): Superb -
- Rusakova (7/5): In general, I only spent the night there. So it's okay. Thank you! - Location It was strange that the toilet was combined with a shower:)
- Poulíčková (10/5): Exceptional - The accommodation was amazing. We had a quadruple room. The room was large, clean, we also had a fully equipped kitchen. The location is great, close to the metro. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby. I definitely recommend it!
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elīna (8/5): We were satisfied with the apartment. - We liked the location of the apartment. It was possible to reach the most popular sights on foot, and Stadio Olimpico was just 30 minutes away. A slightly unpleasant aspect was the smell of sewage in the staircase. Fortunately, it was not noticeable inside the apartment.
- Tina (10/5): Everything was good - Location was great Just wish there was a sitting room. Like a small couch. Otherwise it was great
- Acevedo (10/5): Great stay overnight overall - Place very clean loved the bed sheets bed bathroom never met staff but compacted by phone 🙏 Lower floor im clostofobic
- Roger (6/5): Good location - as I’m an international guest, I found it difficult with no internet access but the - Didn’t get breakfast….
A/C not working on warm balmy evening Ac not working
- Tatiana (10/5): Exceptional - Flat is very brand new. It has all appliances to let the stay comfortable and you fell like home. The host (Leslie) is very helpful and always online to assist you. Thanks Vatican/Rome for the nice days 🌸
- Chimeg (8/5): Very good -
- Mya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vassilakos (1/5): Bad - Nothing Bathroom had zero space and the toilet was in the shower and there was no door on the toilet.
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Joy (8/5): Very good -
- Olha (10/5): Exceptional - very convenient location if you plan to visit the Vatican. cozy and warm. easy to check in if you arrive late at night.
- Montse (4/5): Disappointing -
- Mousavi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Federico (9/5): Great value for money. - Great location, very modern room and excellent cleanliness. Staff was really nice The room was underground with just a small window, but it was really ok given the price. Electronic keys are improvable.
- Muhammet (1/5): Bad -
- Jonathan (8/5): Room for improvement - Small bed, I am a 6ft 1in man of heavy build, the bed was narrow, room was small and lots of noise from corridor, probaly other residents or maybe even staff of the property, until 2am there was excessive noise, loud chat.
- Sarah (7/5): Good -
- Ilias (8/5): Very good - Very nice area and very close to a Metro station. Small room (...but what is needed for one person and for a few days)
- Marijana (5/5): Passable - It was clean Check in is too late, we have early flight and we have to wait 7 hours to come in accomodation
- Jekaterina (3/5): the description and photos of the property are completely untrue - good location is the only advantage of this accommodation It was basically on the basement floor, the room was very dark and without ventilation. So the room feels very dark. The description says about shared kitchen, but in reality it's just a shelf with a kettle and a minimum of disposable tableware. We found the last 2 paper cups that we could use twice, after which they started leaking. We had only small trash can in the bathroom. In our travels this was the worst stay so far.
- Isabelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barbora (7/5): Good - I liked the room overall (the size, AC, furniture), the big bathroom, the cleanliness. I felt safe. First of all, pictures of the room are misleading because the rooms are on the bottom of a tall house, surrounded by other tall buildings and you never get that much light in there as pictured. Not even half of what is pictured.
Second and biggest problem is noisiness! You can hear absolutely everything going on in other rooms and even if you try being silent (which many of our neighbours didn't do) you will not be successful. People coming and going at all times of day (night included), shower running, etc etc. I couldn't get a good night's sleep as much as I tried.
- Ana (7/5): Excellent location in Rome - Self check-in option and smooth communication with the host. The place is very well located in the Vatican area. The room had access to a nice terrace and was equipped with air conditioning and a mini-bar. I travelled to Rome to attend a concert at Stadio Olimpico and the location of this place was excellent to get there, as it was connected by bus and actually within a 30 minute walk from the stadium. The room I stayed in did not correspond to any of the pictures that were shown on Booking. While the room was ok, it was much smaller than I expected based on the pictures I saw when making the reservation. I think it is important to use real pictures of the rooms to properly manage the expectations of the guests and to help them make an informed choice when booking.
- Diletta (8/5): Very good -
- Alina (8/5): Good location and clean apartment, good choice for a few nights - 10 mins to the metro station, close to Vatican, clean, pretty cozy There are no dishes (glasses, forks etc.), virtual keys didn't work (but the host was online and helped us fast), the yard is common for a few apartments.
- Matteo (8/5): Very good -
- Mc (10/5): Exceptional - It was very near to where I was going to.
- Steven (10/5): Prefect room, great location and amazing host - Room was brilliant. The host, Lesley was amazing, I was made to feel very welcome. The location is ideal. Next time I visit Rome I will be staying here again. Nothing bad to say
- Catalin (4/5): Disappointing - The only good thing about this was the location. Firstly, there is no staff around, so in the event of an issue unsure how we would've handled it. We got sent the details to access the room, which was fine. I dont understand why we got these sent 5/6 times, but I guess it didn't bother us too much. Our room was on the lower ground floor, with an exit to a back garden shared by other rooms/flats as well. The garden was ok, to be fair. But there is no natural light there as it is inbetween tall buildings, the room is very damp and not looked after. There are ants everywhere so make sure you don't leave any sort of food around, it is very bad! The are obvious maintenance issues such as broken/rotten skirtingboards, mould around the corners, and a hole in the shower wall, just to name a few. We didn't feel very safe either, so make sure you triple check that the doors are locked and leave the key inside the main door at night once locked. Again, the fact that there is no staff around makes it seem unwelcoming and unsafe. But in the end it was ok, we had no issues with safety. But the ants and the other issues need to be looked at asap, that was disappointing.
- Honchar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zrinka (10/5): Prime Vatican Garden room review from Croatia - The host, Leslie was very pleasent and in contact with us during our arrival in Rome. She arranged our entrance couple hours before check in time (15:30h) which really meant a lot to us. The room was clean and with all things we needed for 3 days.
- Gloria (2/5): Very poor - Proactivity of the staff It is in a basement and does not reflect the uploaded photos.
The toilet and shower share the same area.
The fridge is very noisy.
I did not feel safe because the doors are not fully sealed.
- Sorsee (9/5): Single room great location - Single room was ok for a short stay. Very functional. I liked that there was a private "bathroom". Remote check-in was available, and I could access the room around midnight. Baggage storage is possible (although I did not use it). Clear instructions how to access the room. Close to Vatican, approximately 550 m from metro station Ottaviano. Within the toilet there is the shower :)
- Mendoza (9/5): Superb - I had my privacy, and it wasn’t expensive. It was just walking distance to the Vatican. The bathroom floor should not easily flood. The floor shouldn’t be the same level as the room. But otherwise I liked the privacy.
- Eszter (9/5): Great value for the money, loved this part of the city - Great location, nice and clean part of the city with great public transportation options.
The bed was comfortable, not a big room but was more than enough for us for 2 nights. Really clean. Easy to enter with self-checkin. Wifi could be improved it, always disconnected maybe the router was too far.
- Manuela (9/5): Superb -
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Exceptional - The location was very good only a short walk to the Vatican City and not far into central Rome. The area is nice to stay in and has good food options for breakfast. The check in was easy and quick when we got there as it was done remotely.
- Pogoni (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (6/5): It was an okay place to stay but would definitely choose somewhere else next time, we never met a host either just recie - Good location, very close to vatican city The key system is very unnecessary and the locks arent great doesnt make you feel very safe. Sadly the room didnt look like the pictures at all, the glowing white rooms are not even close to what the real room looks like. Also the apartment is underground so the window looks out onto nothing and is misleading.
- Ana (10/5): Great location, perfect staff and attractive room - We absolutely love Leslie, part of the staff of Prime Vatican Garden. She was from the first moment we arrived making sure everything was okay and gave us perfect instructions of the place.
In addition, the room is very comfortable and attractive, it makes you fall in love with it from the first moment! Nothing
- Ana (6/5): Pleasant - The bed was confortable. The room and bathroom were very clean and tidy. There was shampoo, soap and clean towels.
Lesli was very helpeful everytime. The wifi had good connection. The location is very nice. 10 min walk to the Ottaviano metro station and was near vaticano.
Near the room, there is a coffee shop for breakfast. The double economic room was in a cave and that information wasn't in the booking advertising.
The window was very high and on the level of the floor of the street, so, it was impossible to open because of the dirt.
In the advertising was said that there was a courtyard/balcony, which is false.
No natural light and was humid!!
- Krisztina (6/5): Pleasant -
- Maria (1/5): Bad - Unfortunately, the room was dirty, fungus, dirty toilet, on the first day there was no warm water. The only thing I liked was the staff who solved the problem with the iron.
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Arwa (5/5): Passable - The owner so helpful They post a large room but put me in a room smaller than my bathroom !
- Mariana (8/5): Very good - Staff very helpful and friendly.
Beds are okay.
Close to Vatican City
- Karla (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, very nice and clean apartment. Everything looks like on pictures. Everything was great.
- Anastasia (9/5): Superb -
- Sofia (10/5): Can’t wait to go back in Rome again! - Everything was amazing. So as Leslie , who was so helpful and always smiley!
- Adrian (9/5): Superb -
- Sophiem24 (9/5): Meravigliosa Roma! - The location is very good, near bus stop. The metro (Ottaviano) and Vatican Museum are near too. We discovered a very good cafe (artigianale) and a very good restaurant (L'Angoletto dei Musei) in the proximity. It is a quite neighborhood, inhabited mostly by local people (few tourists).
We had a very good communication with the landlord and so was very easy to find he location and to access the property. The room is big enough, with good illumination, big mirror, wardrobe and access to an interior common garden. All is very clean. We had to wait several minutes for the hot water at the shower.
- Damian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elisabetta (7/5): In the end was good - The availability of the host and the fast reply when needed. The position in the city There was no cleaning service during the stay or towel change. We asked for the towel change and the host provided it. It was a room on a underground floor, so not much light and it was a bit humid.
- Tom (8/5): Very good -
- Razvan (9/5): Great room, would definately come back - Great location, great owner, room as expected Everything was great, just a sugestion: a glass or two in the room would be nice :)
- Antonny (8/5): Very good -
- Rebecka (10/5): Lovely and basic - Good location, you can manage to walk to all the major spots in Rome from there. And there's a big inexpensive grocery store a block away which was great. Lovely, clean, classy rooms. Good security. Nice courtyard access from room. Wish there would have been a microwave, electric kettle, tea... Also the water pressure in the sink faucet was too high, always sprayed water everywhere.
- Arpi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abraham (7/5): Good -
- Alexander (8/5): Very good -
- Drezga (9/5): Superb - The apartment had an outside yard that has lots of sitting place and you can enjoy your breakfast and coffee from closest caffe. It's on main street that is really close to metro for other parts of Rome and walking distance from glorious Vatican city. It's calm and quite area so we slept really good. We walked for most of our stay cause it's really safe neighbourhood. It's smaller than in pictures but enough space for a couple.
- Mateja (8/5): Very good - Location is perfect and everything was very clean.
- Spyridoula (7/5): Travel in Rome. Room for two - The room was clean, we had given towels and there was enough room to leave our baggage and open it. The bathroom was too big. The bed was very comfortable. The landlord was great snd helped us with the room beside us ,because they were screaming, yelling and moving furniture after the midnight and he called them in order to make them stop. We had to take off the headboard of the bed because it was moving all the time and it was hitting at the wall and making noise. There was a lot of noise, the door was very light and it didn't keep out the voices. The walls are very light and you can hear everything. There was mold on the tiles in the bathroom and it was disgusting.
- Noah (9/5): Superb -
- Anita (9/5): Superb - Brilliant location. Great communication. Would stay again
