Guest Reviews
- Joseph (9/5): Comfortable stay in a unique accommodation. - Lovely, quirky bnb. Bright, comfortable, airy space with amazing views over Ganges and towards Captain Passage. The wrap around deck is amazing. DIY breakfast is simple and healthy. There are very few blinds on the windows so be prepared to wake up early. No TV but plenty of games for any wet days. The home is only a few minutes from Ganges but up a steep and winding road so walking back from village centre is not for the faint hearted. Figuring out all the lights was a challenge. Labels would be useful.

- McKinnon (10/5): Fantastic accomodations! - Breakfast was fine
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Andre (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pauline (6/5): Pleasant - The suite we had was clean and well furnished Nobody around to meet us. Had to call to find out where was our suite. No indication or name at the entrance when arriving by car.
- Albert (7/5): Good - Great physical structure and view. Great for privacy. Not much for hot pool, Lacking things like saunas, massage, etc.
Had to go to Hastings House for special dinner
- Kelly (7/5): All in all the stay was nice. Very quiet and peaceful. - The room was very clean, with a nice view. The area was very peaceful and quiet. Just a few minutes drive from Ganges. The room was a little cold. We were there in the month of May. There were heaters provided, but it took awhile to heat up the rooms. It would have been nice to have a comfortable place to sit other than the kitchen table.
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- Carol (9/5): Superb -
- Joy (8/5): Good location, good facilities but indifferent breakfast and caretaker host. - Breakfast was indifferent but after check- in there was time to go to a store to get what was necessary.
I liked seeing the stars at night. I liked how cozy the suite was and how well equipped the kitchen and bathroom were. Door was locked when I arrived, even though I had phoned beforehand to say I was arriving at the time I said I would. When I called to caretaker- I got a message, rather than a real person so I wondered how to solve the apparent problem of no on- site person. As I was calling listed owner, a man opened the door and shouted something to me- as I was talking with owner I couldn’t hear him. As the problem was resolved, I ended my call and entered suite but felt offended by lack of welcome or apology.
- Nikki (6/5): Forest Suite better suited for a solo traveller - views cannot be beat and very concientious hosts - The location is special. It is up a very steep road which lends to the amazing views from the property, like breathtaking! The mountains, the Cascades, the Georgia Strait - it's stunning. Owners are very attentive and thoughtful. The check-in and checkout times were the best there is 3pm check in and 11:15 checkout! Great coffee is supplied along with granola & almond milk. The location is central to everything. You are in the middle of the Island and nothing is more than 30 minutes one direction or the other but you have to have a car and you cannot have mobility issues. Firstly, we were in the Forest Suite ... not the suite depicted in most of the photos. SO... my review is strictly on this option as I would think my review would be MUCH different had we opted for the TreeTop. I also have to say - we WOULD book here again but in the TreeTop Suite as I felt the owners were really amazing and the location is minutes from the town of Ganges.
Forest Suite: The layout is a wee bit odd. Each room has a door on each end (to keep the heat in and noise from upstairs out). The sitting room really isn't something one would realistically use - it's in front of the bathroom door and has a funky smell (could be due to the pipe situation they were working to resolve). The long hallway had three other rooms attached but were not part of the suite however, there is a fantastic livingroom at the end that would have made this stay absolutely perfect had it been set up for use. So essentially, when in the suite... we sat on the bed which was comfy except not the pillows ... they have to swap these out for sure.... they were 'crunchy' for lack of a better word. If you were one person, this would be amazing.... it isn't for a family at all and it certainly isn't a romantic forest getaway. The family lives upstairs and they were very very conscientious about noise but it still felt like I was bunking in my sister-in-laws spare room. So, for us - the stay was lovely however not a sanctuary or a spa, maybe I needed to lower my expectations but with a title like that .... I was pretty excited. Regardless, waking up to the view, though... made it all okay.
- Marilyn (9/5): Superb -
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alex (8/5): Very good - Beautiful view, quiet surroundings, clean and updated suite. Some occasional noise from the people above us.
- Anonymous (9/5): Loved the property, room and location. I would stay here again. - Beautiful and peaceful location. Clean room with nice, extra touches. Close to Ganges Village. There happened to be some construction going on during our stay. Although it started at a reasonable time (around 8 or 9 am), it did wake us and meant we couldn’t sleep in if we wanted. It would’ve been nice to have known beforehand.
- Janie (8/5): Amazing place if your going out everyday into town or explore the island. - Peace and quiet and the amazing views It needed more, furniture. Maybe a couch. The long hallway needs more felt bare and cold. A tub would of been nice.
- Susan (10/5): I would highly recommend - The unit we stayed in is best described as a kitchenette. Very well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. The surroundings and views were beautiful. The location is very close to town and many hiking / walking opportunities. I would definitely stay here again.
- Adam (9/5): Superb -
- Nirmala (7/5): Beautiful location with stunning view - location It said was kitchenette but there no stove.
Also no TV
- Nikita (9/5): Superb -
- Jade (9/5): Superb -
- Philippa (8/5): Relaxing - Beautiful tranquil place in the forest. I would definitely return; the suite was spotlessly clean & well laid out with an amazing view from the large window in the bedroom.
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yubo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liliana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aryeh (10/5): Great place to stay - The room and property are beautiful. Wish we could have stayed longer.
