Gave some good advice about what to see locally as was only in Johannesburg for 24 hours. Uber Taxi and Eats easlily pick up/deliver here. Shower was excellent and much appreciated after a dusty couple of weeks. Beautiful large rooms to relax in.

The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating of any of my check-in requests. I highly recommend it here and look forward to staying here again during my future visits.

Led by Anita, everyone at Sandton Country Manor works tremendously hard to look after the guests and there is a very happy atmosphere at the house. Breakfast was great, and they served French press coffee which is always a little treat instead of those dispensing machine coffees. A nice touch. The place is a little tired, although still very comfortable.

Excellent value for money. The entire place was beautifully kept. A very peaceful atmosphere, and a very safe area. As I travelled for work, easily accessible power outlets at the desk would have helped, but an extension cord provided by the hotel did the job, too.

Anitah, the hostes, was extremely responsive and accommodating and welcoming. bathrooms were roomy and clean and functional. location is in safe neighborhood, convenient to restaurants, shops, etc. Comfortable beds and higher end linens and towels. our group rented the whole manor. two rooms were upper floor with thatched roof--one room complained that ants fell from the thatch throughout the night. the other room said nothing. most of the other rooms were quite comfortable, except one had a/c problems--they provided a fan, but with no screens on the windows, the fan circluated warm air, or brought in cooler air from outside with the prospect of flying insects. The same room (the smallest on site) also heard the guests upstairs easily (even though they were not particularly loud).

Patrick (10/5): The Country Manor is a haven from Johannesburg - Anita and her team give guests the warmest of welcomes. They make you feel at home and ensure that you have everything you need, especially a great breakfast to start the day and bring you coffee if you have people over for a business meeting. To be honest - and I have never said this about a hotel before - there was nothing that needed improving — the building is great, well situated and maintained. You’ve got a swimming pool and delightful garden where you can read or hold business meetings.

Darlene (10/5): Home away from home - Run..do not walk to this beautiful bed and breakfast that feels like a private oasis the moment you pass through the estate gates. Anita and her staff are beyond kind and hospitable hosts. No request is too much, they truly aim to please. Each morning began with a delicious hot breakfast with an assortment of items and cooked to order eggs. Our rooms were made up each day, water provided at the bedside and a gorgeous pool at our disposal. There are not enough superlatives to describe this home that accommodated our multi generational family gathering. There was room for all to spread out (all rooms have en suite bathrooms and television) but also gather as needed. I cannot wait to return! Absolutely nothing!

The television in the bedroom was not working. I was looking to watching the rugby World Cup in the comfort of my bed. That really was disappointing. I had to sit on an uncomfortable couch the whole time.

William (10/5): We really enjoyed a relaxed two nights in what we thought was an excellent and safe location. - The room and the setting had a real charm - just as did Anita our host, and her team. They were brilliant and could not have done more to make our stay more comfortable. Anita made you feel very much at home from the moment you arrived. Our breakfast and the setting were perfect and the bed was so so comfortable! The sun beds were on order and for the sunny afternoon Anita found some inflatables so we could relax in the pool...thankyou! Anita also helped find some local shops and her scones were the best ever - as was her lentil soup. Brilliant

Sandra (10/5): Excellent - We loved everything about the property. It was furnished and set up meticulously, very clean and easy to get to. We also would like to thank the property manager and the staff that they took care of us this well. Breakfast was delicious with your choice of eggs and breakfast meats, different beverages, fruit and muesli. This time we only styes one night but when we return to Johannesburg next time we will make sure to stay longer.

Certainly not value for money and not recommended unless the aforementioned issues are efficiently attended to. Herculano (10/5): An unforgettable stay, surelly to repeat! - Everything was delightfull!! Anita's care and details made us feel like home. The room was very cozy and clean, and the food Anita prepared was delicious.. Even the weather was not inviting, the pool was not as perfect as all the rest.
