Guest Reviews

- John (7/5): Good - Check in/out very smooth. Complimentry mini bar.
Great location for walking to taxi stand for ride to airport. $55
Nice restaurants near by I brought a big overweight suitcase and walking up the stairs was no good.
- Lavinia (8/5): Very good - Location great..breakfast great..room ok, bed not v comfortable, cheap sheets are never great
- Stig (6/5): Pleasant - Exellent service. Hotel had not the best standard
- Julie (7/5): Good - Amazing location and super friendly service but the rooms are getting a little tired and need some love
- Seleka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (3/5): Poor -
- Emma (7/5): Good - The layout of the room was fun and the staff were lovely. The bed is also super comfortable The shower head wasn't clean, the walls are breaking away and our room didn't lock properly so we needed another key to lock it.
- Stella (8/5): Very good -
- Ashraf (3/5): Poor -
- Luana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dávid (9/5): Superb -
- Isidoro (8/5): Central location and a luxury having a bathtube in the room - The furniture is a little outdated but this place is all about having a bathtube in the room , that is pure luxury after having walked for hours.
Staff were super friendly and accommodating as I had a request on departure day. Breakfast was really nice and the option to be able to have it on the terrace was great.
- Aaron (9/5): Great room and staff - Great location, Friendly staff, Hotel room comfortable nice sized room, with all the amendments. Due to the building being protected, the walls are a little thin. Unfortunately you can also hear anyone at the reception due to it being in close proximity of the rooms
- Dane (10/5): Amazing! Great find! - Great location, friendly staff, fantastic amenities (huge jacuzzi)! Bed was a bit squeaky on night two.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional - Very central. Host was very helpful and accommodating.
Would totally recommend
- Tess (5/5): Passable - Location was fantastic! It is close to where the action is. The big drawback is there is no elevator and having lots of luggage coming from a long holiday did not help at all. We were upgraded to a suite as it is on a lower level but the room was not modern or renovated. The lock going to the room was so difficult to open and there were no places to put your things in the room and in the bathroom. There was no minibar either. The room and the overall ambiance of the place needs updating to make it convenient for travelers.
- Andrew (7/5): Great location and helped us to enjoy Rome - Access for late arrival was difficult as the pre-information did not reach me.
Secondly, the room lacked adequate space to locate suitcases which seemed to be taken up by an un-necesary spa-bath. Also access up the steep stairs was stressful with heavy suitcases
Otherwise, all else was very good, which included the breakfast and general support offered in our pleasant stay.
- Sunny (8/5): Perfect for a quick stay. Fun decor and Great breakfast! - Location was great! Great breakfast. Room was good. Has all essential amenities. Perfect for a weekend. Fun decor No elevator.
- Daniel (10/5): Was absolutely amazing - Great location , lovely staff , great hotel
- Laura (8/5): Very good - I absolutely loved the family feel of this guest house!! It was an even better location than I expected and the staff were so helpful and attentive!! The manager Valerio was so helpful and explained everything so well!! The breakfast was everything we needed and super fresh!! No this i didn’t like, it’s a little dated but it totally adds to the effect of the Rome feel!! Great place to stay and I will be recommending it to friends
- Monique (9/5): Superb - Staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfortable. The spa bath was really relaxing after a long day of walking. Room was neat. The aircon in room was great. Good breakfast and great coffee. Would definitely book with 7 Inn Spanish Steps again.
- Serafeim (8/5): Very good -
- Carl (7/5): Good - The terrace
- Baczynski (7/5): The place shouldn’t be advertised as a hotel to avoid disappointment. - Excellent location. Air condition. Cleaning service. Friendly staff. The room looked the same as it was presented on the website. We thought that it was a hotel instead of a guesthouse. It was hard to find the entrance, because there was no sign. The breakfast offer was very limited, especially the pastry wasn’t good at all. The projector instead of a large screen TV.
- Andrew (10/5): The perfect way to relax - The location was great and the jacuzzi bath was ideal after a long day of walking the hot streets. Leaving
- Petra (7/5): Good - We loved the shower, the comfortable beds and the AC. The staff was nice and very hospitable and the location of the place is right in the middle of where you wanna be to see all the cool things in Rome! We booked the spa-room because we wanted a luxurious feel and were pretty underwhelmed by it. The sink in the bathroom was hanging of its hinges, the colour of the walls made the room feel dirty even though it was perfectly clean. The spa bath could have used some more instructions.
- Zahra (5/5): I think the high cost of this place dosent worth really considering the facilities. Only yhe jacuzzi was good. - Staff were so nice.
Also my reservation was for a room without jacuzzi but I asked if possible give me a room with jacuzzi and they were kind and gave me. The only good thing about room was the jacuzzi. Otherwise it was not good. It was small.
- Kevin (10/5): Great location, helpful staff, would go back. - Great location, within easy walking distance to shops, sights and places to eat. Staff were very helpful and good.
Comfortable room and pillows:) Only one small negative was air freshener, but the windows opened to clear that quickly enough.
- Seelam (8/5): Very good -
- Seelam (6/5): Pleasant -
- Emanuel (7/5): Good -
- Judy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tammi (3/5): Poor - The location Was very run down and dirty. The bathroom is in dire need of renovation. The bathroom sink leaks and the shower was mouldy and musty. The tiles in the shower were black from mould and mildew.
- Carissa (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were beautiful and so nice Nothing
- Cara (6/5): For us it was all about location. - The space it offered in the room and the location. No chair to sit on. You have to manoeuvre over a fixed desk to get in and out of the bed which was significantly high off the ground. Shower needs care.
- Karin (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing room, perfect location, very good breakfast
- Elizabete (8/5): Possibility to enjoy history and comfort. - Localisation of the hotel is just marvellous. Very keen staff. Breakfast. No elevator and system of the stairs. Bit pricey.
- Emma (8/5): lovely trip - Location was good. Breakfast was good everything you needed. The terrace was a bonus. The room needs a little maintenance but was clean. The hot tub bath needed a service as spelt a little when used.
- Anton (8/5): Very good -
- Rostami (9/5): Clean, good location, kind and helpful staff - The guy that intruduce the place is one of the lovely stranger i ever met.he is sooooo kind and respectful and helpful.the location is realy good.the place is so clean.the hot tub is realyyyyy good after long walk.again i say the manager is exelent person so kind and helpful
- Perumal (5/5): Not feeling great - It’s located near metro It’s very stuffy
- Rachael (8/5): Perfect location and very accommodating - Location was excellent, communication with the owner was very good and answered all our questions. The spa bath was very much appreciated after a long day of exploring. The room was very clean and cleaned every day. Breakfast was basic…something next time we might not pay extra for…for the price might be welcomed as a complimentary extra.
- Victoria (10/5): Fabulous city break stay - Great gou r for breakfast. Absolutely lively firny staff who are a credit Nothing, our whole stay was fantastic
- Polly (5/5): Unsatisfactory - Not much. We cancelled our booking in the night that we arrived and checked into another hotel within one hour. It was basically a self service rental room. It felt very unsafe and was separated from the main hotel for some reason. There was no one to greet us. We couldn’t find the restaurant. We were sent photos from WhatsApp to find things. There was no service.
- Mark (7/5): Good -
- Davini (9/5): Superb -
- Kye (9/5): FANTASTIC STAY 😁 - I liked the location close to flamino metro and good restaurants also I liked the exceptional quality of the staff that worked there and also the hot tub was a good touch There's not much I did not like no complaints the only little thing I would suggest was maybe upgrade the flat screen tvs to smart televisions
- James (5/5): Passable -
- Heidi (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (7/5): beautiful place would visit it agin - amazing location, the receptionist was very accommodating could not do enough for us, great service room need some tlc, mini bar, safe didn’t work. bad drainage bath/sinks.
- Cliff (8/5): Nice - Central, everything was nearby
staff very friendly ans introduced us The city - bed wasn't so comfortable
- jacuzzi was dirty when we arrived
- Leila (8/5): the best location we could have in Rome, great value for money - location was fantastic the property needs a little bit renovation
- Atizio (9/5): Superb -
- Clara (8/5): Very good -
- Nada (8/5): Very good - Outstanding location Breakfast was very poor
- kodySydney (2/5): Shocking - Beware one of the worst places I have ever stayed at. On check in they lied to me that I had a renovated room when in fact it was dark and dingy. Location is the only thing going for it breakfast is up a million stairs
- 357ernstb (8/5): custom rooms and nice service - Rooms are simple but nice and all have a special something, like an artsy bed or a whirlpool in the room. Service is kind and takes care of a pretty good breakfast. The streetside rooms offer a good view of a typical roman street, the inn is actually not located at the spanish steps, but nearby at the piazza del popolo.
- wanderer700 (6/5): "Location good, but overall very poor value" - Our first visit to Rome and with it came very high expectations for this luxurious boutique hotel but I am afraid those thoughts were soon extinguished upon entering this establishment via a drab doorway and intercom and followed by four flights of stairs.
The room itself did not improve our sense of well being, as although being a little trendy lacked basic amenities for our clothing/luggage, merely six hangers on a rail, OK if you are a backpacker but we are not.
One chair, no table, no complimentary wine, dirty bathroom, Italian TV only and a bed looking more like a MRI scanner with light remote that did not work.
Tiny breakfast area accessed via a precarious spiral staircase which doubled up as reception (but only until 6pm) but on the good side cappuccino coffee was excellent.
I would recommend this place to no one!!
- Millhill2014 (6/5): Very central location, close to Piazza del Popolo - We had a nice stay in Rome. January is a good time to visit this eternal city, when it is no so crowded with tourists. Booking this hotel we figured it would be close to the Spanish Steps, but it is at the other end of via del Corso - close to Piazza del Popolo.
Getting to know that area we had a pleasant experience, there are some very nice restaurants in Via di Ripetta. The 7 Inn was advertised as a Boutique hotel, but we found the rooms to be rather warn. And the setting of the hotel will probably match better with a younger traveller.
- Heleen116 (10/5): Ideal location! top service! - Lovely hotel: clean & big rooms, comfy beds and pillows, free mini bar, ideal location, friendly service. We had a big rain shower and a jacuzzi in our room (Zen-room). If we return to Rome, we'll certainly book a room here again.
- MikeyC7 (10/5): Perfect or couples - The hot tub in the room was amazing, the king size bed was so comfy and the free mini bar was a nice touch. The hotel is surrounded by bars and restaurants and the metro is a short walk through a lovely square. They offer a package where you get a bottle of prosecco, a song on the entrance to the room and a message written on the mirror. the room has an iPad and mobile phone so you don't need to waste your own data when walking around Rome. Would definitely recommend this hotel to any couple and wouldn't look anywhere else to stay when returning to Rome.
- RobinDeKetelaere (10/5): Very nice hotel! Small and beautifull - I went to Rome together with my love in july 2017. We States 4 days in Rome. Our room was called the "Passion room". It had a jacuzzi and a rainshower, very nice! The room itself was not that big but that wasn't any issue for us. In the morning we had breakfast, it wasn't big but it was good. They also make big cappuccino's! I loved our stay and would def. Recommend this hotel!
- EBL8 (8/5): Nice and romantic hotel - Very good location close to piazza Popolo, metro and electric train, 1 min walk from Corso street.
The room is nice, clean, large, air conditioner, large bath, TV, wifi. The stuff are very nice and helpful, I would return again
- G6125BMjohnp (10/5): Anniversary - Me and my wife stayed her for first wedding anniversary. Hotel arranged pick up from airport. Soon as we got to hotel they made us feel very welcome. Gave us a map of the town highlighted all the local attractions best route an how long should take to get to them all. Which was very handy. Room was spot on. Clean an tidy. Hot tub was added bonus. Continental breakfast. Also hotel gave us phone to use make free calls on it or use it for Google maps. When we go back to Rome I will definitely be going back this hotel.
- B1879RWsaraha (8/5): Great location - Perfect location, rooms clean and tidy, staff were great and very helpful. Gave us a map and highlighted some great restaurants and other areas to check out. Jacuzzi bath was lovely after a long day walking and very sore feet. There was a complimentary snacks and mini fridge and the wifi was really good. Just a few negatives:
-only given one thin roll of toilet paper per room daily
-breakfast bar had few options and only a few tables that were very close to each other
-the noise from the street outside our room was crazy and the buzzer to the hotel was very loud as well had to buy earplugs- I think this depended on which room you stayed in.
Overall loved our visit to Rome!
- LPadovani (6/5): An average hotel - This review applies to the Zen room of the hotel, as well as the common areas / services.
PROS:
- Very comfortable mattress
- Warm, silent and cozy room
- Intense, steamy shower
- Nice decor
- Blazing fast internet
- Tablet available for guests
- Extremely dedicated and couteous staff
- Excellent location
- Fridge with complimentary beverages and snacks
CONS:
- No place to sit in the room (sofa or chair)
- No table to work on
- No shelves to place folded clothes (although there was a place to hang clothing)
- The courtesy phone with unlimited calling and other services simply did not work
- No toilet paper replenishment on the last day, and we ran out!
- Breakfast was lacking and had few options other than sweet pastries
- Staff did not explain things properly
- Nowhere to put the soap and shampoo inside the shower box - we had to balance it on the windowsills
- The private driver arranged by the hotel (in a black Mercedes-Benz with license plate DZ 689MY) drove like a madman, did 180km/h (no exaggeration) on the highway and swerved to merge into new roads, all while repeatedly taking off and putting back on this seatbelt and talking on the phone - avoid at all costs if you value your life.
- Johan51 (10/5): GREAT AND PERFECT HOTEL IN CENTRAL ROME - We stayed two nights in this marvelous hotel. Even as it is in busy part near the Piaza del Popolo the rooms are very calm. The room we had was perfect and the hot tube was a positive added value. The owner and staff was very helpfull and gave us some excellent tips about what to visit and where to eat. When we go back to Rome we defintively go back to this hotel-guesthouse
- MoermanSeba (8/5): Perfect location for city trip - We had a super stay at this hotel. A very warm welcome with a lot of information how to discover Rome.
Breakfast was correct, but they serve superb coffee!!
The hot tube in the room was perfect after a long day of walking. The location is a big plus and even though it's in a busy street, there is no noise in the room.
- JulietR (10/5): Fantastic hotel! - Just back from a three night stay in Rome and we absolutely loved our hotel/guest-house for numerous reasons:
** Location: Excellent! We got a bus from Ciampino to Termini station (€5) and from there will took the metro line A (€1.50). The hotel is situated exceptionally close to Flaminio metro station. Exit to the left of the station and it will bring you out on Piazza del Popolo which is a stone's throw away from the hotel. It doesn't have a particularly obvious entrance because it is on the second floor but we got very clear directions on Trip Advisor before we left.
Being so close to the metro gives you the option of using it to get to the main tourist attractions but we chose to walk everywhere and the hotel's location was brilliant for this.
** Room: The room was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. We got up early in the morning and returned at night after dinner. It included a free mini-bar, our own private hot tub, very comfortable double bed and pillows (we don't like the "squishy" kind - this was perfect for us!), free wi-fi (better signal in the main part of the hotel than in our particular room) and a small safe with a key which was perfect for storing our passports. We loved the decor of our room but all of the rooms are designed with a different theme - ours had a Japanese theme. It was very clean and was also cleaned every day when we were out.
** Breakfast: breakfast was included in our package and it was ideal for us. Most mornings we had cereal, juice, fresh pastries, yogurt, fruit but there were other options too including hard-boiled egg, toast, cold meats etc and we were offered the and coffee every morning. It is served in the reception area where there are little tables set up for breakfast. This may sound unusual being served in the reception area but it is really lovely. It's like a breakfast bar!
** Staff: the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. I couldn't fault them. We received a map on arrival and were given an idea of how long it took to walk to each of the main attractions and the metro option was explained to us. Upon check-out we were asked if we needed transfers organised and when we said no, we went through the travel plans together just to make sure we wouldn't go astray.
One or two final tips which you may/ may not find useful:
- There is a nightly tax which you must pay for staying in hotels in Rome which is extra to the cost of the hotel. We knew this in advance so it wasn't an issue - just make sure to factor that in to your costs.
- Go to Trastevere during your trip and go to any of the restaurants over there (we loved Dar Poeta for pizza). There is such a great atmosphere over there and the prices are much cheaper for dinner. It took us about 30 minutes to walk back to the hotel.
- Booking in advance can save you queuing for many of the main tourist attractions. You may still have to do some queuing for places like the Colosseum but it is much better than the alternative.
**Overall we loved the hotel/guest-house and would not hesitate for one second in recommending it to anyone travelling to Rome.
- 271amitl (10/5): Great hotel in a central location - The hotel is located very close to Spanish Stairs and Piazza del Popolo. Each room as its own unic design and we had a room with a hot tub and enough space. The hotel is clean. The owner was very kind and helpful. We had a great time!
- lesleyv (8/5): Nice hotel!! - We had a really nice stay at this hotel. The staff is very friendly. It's a small hotel, but it was perfect for visiting and discovering Rome. The rooms are very clean and modern. We really enjoyed our stay!
- Ferocious1 (8/5): Perfect location but... - I agree with all the previous comments so won't repeat myself. The hotel is minimalistic in furnishings with no cupboards or drawers but that's okay too if hanging your clothes on hangers which is visible is your thing. As we were here for 4 days we liked the location an my fiancées 2 teenage boys liked their room. We were on the 1St floor facing the street so every doorbell to the apartment we heard. We heard the noise an traffic from the street constantly but the worst was the constant doorbell from the apartments in the same building, as it's an old building an the sound travels. We would stay here again but definitely not on the rooms facing the street am probably higher. If you looking for ultra modern with 5 star facilities this is not the place for you
- 160parms (10/5): Perfect location - Stayed at the 7 inn Spanish steps for 3 nights back in May 2015. The hotel is located in the perfect spot, where everything is in walking distance. We never had any issues getting anywhere form this hotel.
Everyone gets a room with a different theme, which all seem to be recently renovated and upgraded. The host was extremely friendly and helpful.
Would book here again in a heartbeat next time in Rome.
- J0nathanH68 (10/5): Rome-antic place! - The position of the hotel is perfect. Very close to the Plaza Popolo and the Via Corso. The hotel organised a pick-up from the airport.. which is always very useful when it is your first time in a city.. the welcome from the hotel was lovely.. I had also purchased the "romantic" package..which didn't disappoint.. Rose petals and roses on the bed and in the Jacuzzi, prosecco, chocolates. A pre-chosen piece of music playing in the background.. and a few personal words written in lipstick on the mirror... now if you are looking for a romantic few days in one of the most romantic cities in the world... then there is no better start...
