• Guy (9/5): Convenient small hotel in a quiet alley within walking distance of the main sights and restaurants - Good quiet location, although cannot be dropped, or picked up there by car. We were helped to rent eBikes and find a car with driver. There is a washing machine which can be used. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Apart from free water, there are no food or beverages available. It is a short walk to good local noodle shops, but bakeries and coffee chops seem to open later than breakfast time!

Posizione buona, a circa 10/15 minuti a piedi dalle vie cruciali della città vecchia di Dali. A pochi minuti dalla Guesthouse ci sono comunque tutti i servizi. Personale davvero gentilissimo e sempre disponibile, c'è addirittura la possibilità di utilizzare la lavatrice per lavare i vestiti. Consigliatissimo se siete backpackers. C'è stato un problema alla rete idrica della struttura, ma il personale si è attivato sia per comunicarci e tenerci aggiornati, e sia per scusarsi.

• Jade (7/5): Everything you need for a decent price! - The hotel is everything you need it to be. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The shower has good water pressure. Laundry is self service and free with plenty of space to hang it on the roof. The location is especially great with lots of great restaurants near by and the ancient town only a short walk away. The two girls on reception were also very helpful! It is quite difficult to find (I have attached some photos from each street corner to help future guests). We had to ask someone to help us but even they said that the address on booking.com is incomplete, so he called the property and took us to the corner where one of the reception girls met us. Apart from the room (which was great) the rest of the property could use a bit of TLC. The shared areas (living room and kitchen) need some attention (they are messy and unclean). We also had a yoghurt stolen from the fridge (so make sure you put anything you want to store in there in a bag). The air conditioner in our room also needed some maintenance (it leaked almost our entire stay and we were just told to put the bin under it). Not huge issues, just things to keep in mind ☺️

• Joshua (10/5): Wonderful! - Perfect. Quiet and peaceful in the middle of bustling Dali Ancient Town. Room was nicer than most apartments! Contained within a courtyard wall are small outdoor seating areas and a rooftop laundry room. Close to North Gate, this place is a perfect base for exploring all of Ancient City as well as trekking further afield to Chongshen Si and San Ta (about half an hour walk). Scores of restaurants within seconds of walking out of the alley. Staff is exceptionally warm and helpful. The manager has tons of advice for exploring Dali as well as nearby environs. Not really a complaint, but you'll need a bit of luck to find the entrance. Walk down 平等东路 (east) until you think you're on the wrong track, and then you'll see the square yellow sign 不羡山。
• Teri (9/5): A quiet and relaxing guesthouse in the busy Dali Old Town that offered everything we needed within walking distance! - Its location nestled in a little lane was perfect for my sister and I, whom prefer the quiet and enjoy walking around the old town. This guesthouse is steps away from many eateries (yummy local dishes!) and within walking distance to the local market (where we bought lots of fresh fruits). The manager Xiao Huang was very helpful in arranging transportation for us and suggesting places to dine and visit; thank you! Nothing. We love the peaceful environment it offered.

I got sick and the owner kindly went with me to the hospital and translated everything for me. I truly feel so lucky as it's rare to find English speakers in this region. Thank you so much for your kindness and help!! The room is also very beautifully decorated and has all the amenities needed. The location is great. I highly recommend it!

The staff, Miss Young was very helpful even though we communicated using the translator app. We arrived late at Dali train station and she arranged for a taxi to pick us up and waited by the roadside to bring us to the guesthouse. She even helped book our taxi to the train station again. Keep up the good work.

Just a short walk to the shops, eateries, amenities and places where tourists visit within the ancient city. Very convenient, yet away from the crowd. Got to experience a stay within an ancient property for the old vibe (renovated and functional). The receptionist is very helpful, and even helped us to carry our luggage up to the upper floor room. All rooms are large with spacious beds Need to pull our luggage over cobbled streets around the property (not accessible to cars) from the main road. However, not too bad as it is only a short distance to walk.

Located in the old town, it’s a short walk to everywhere. We had good night sleep here, as it was peaceful at night. We rented electric motorcycle to go around the old town. We also enjoyed the free laundry and hung dry our clothes on the roof-top. The service is excellent. We just used translation app for the language barriers. Nothing.

• Kravze (9/5): Short stay with friends - We enjoyed our stay here :) The guesthouse is located about a 10 - 15 minutes walk from Dali Old Town so its away from the bustling crowd and activities, because of that we got a very nice and peaceful neighbourhood area where we can relax after a whole day of exploration. The host is very friendly and helpful! She recommended great food places and attractions. Shoutout to the host's cute dog Meiya! Overall, my friend and I really enjoyed our short 2 day stay. Would recommend this guesthouse for travellers looking for a relaxing short stay around Dali Old Town :) The guesthouse is hidden and would definitely need a map navigation to locate. But you can always ask the host's help to navigate there so don't worry!

The room that I booked is simply perfect, with a jaccuzi and tea drinking corner inside! Every corner is meticulously designed to meet the customer needs, very cozy and beautiful! Everything is perfect!

(花房姑娘) - Not enough light in the room during the night. We had 5 rooms and there was only one light bulb in a family room that was bright enough for reading. - The room with jacuzzi is super big and well-designed, but we didn't use the jacuzzi because the hot water was always yellowish. - (Also the room with jacuzzi) In the bathroom, the power outlet was broken, the two modes of "warm wind" not working well, it was quite cold when taking a shower. - The small garden is very beautiful with a lot of plants, a tiny pond and fishes, but the chairs are all a bit dirty.

• Samuel (10/5): Perfect 10/10 Guesthouse, trust me :) - It was perfect. I'm usually skeptical when there's a place with a 10/10 rating, but this one definitely deserved it! Not only is the room itself spacious, clean and beautiful, it has a really good view through the surrounding windows (don't worry, there are blinds everywhere if you want to close it off) Situated next to the old town is a blessing as it's too touristy there, but close enough to walk in it, if you want to. The hostess is fantastic! She is just a very nice, open and communicative person who makes the stay more than pleasant. Not only did she offer homemade food to try, but added us on WeChat to give us tips throughout the day. Simply a great place to stay, you won't regret it!

• Jako82 (8/5): Very good - The hotel is in a small side alley, with no car traffic, so it's very peaceful. It's also just a few minutes away from the pedestrian zone, and close to many restaurants and shops. Room was large, and despite some weird furniture arrangement it was comfortable enough. Bathroom is without a separated shower, so it can get a bit flooded but it does dry surprisingly fast: personally I don't love it, but I even I could live with that. Staff very young and possibly not very experienced, but helpful, kind, and smily. Just a bit of english spoken, but the translation apps helped. Keep it up :) Free washing machine available on the rooftop. Lovely house dog! Some dust in visible areas, not really a problem but not a great impression. Windows not closing completely, again not a problem since the weather was nice and there was no noise from outside, but not great looking. I guess it can be worse in hotter or colder season.

• Nadja (2/5): Not recommended for families with kids or when you are looking for something clean and comfortable. - Location ds with us. Our room was very dirty and dusty. The floor was sticky. The rug was very dirty, the table cover in the living room area was absolutely dirty and dusty, all the shelfs in the room and the nightstands next to our bed was dirty and dusty, I had to clean everything myself as my little one was touching everything. The most annoying part was the shower. The shower was simple and old, which I don’t mind much, but the water was either ice cold or burning hot. We could not get the right temperature. This is absolutely dangerous if you want to shower your child. We ended up mixing the water in the kettle and pour it over our toddler. But that was not ideal either as the room temperature was icy cold, luckily my baby did not catch a cold after the shower. My husband and I ended up showering with the ice cold water. Our beddings had a weird old smell, the ceiling in the corner of our bedroom had mold, a huge mold stain. I would definitely not recommend this property, I the property is just not worth the money, doesn’t matter how much it costs. You can find much nicer and cleaner and newer properties in the same street, in fact just next to this one. The unfortunate part is that the other properties may not be listed on booking.com, as I could not find them. But there are so many of these type of stays, so definitely worth to look for other properties.

There are not many properties like this in Dali, and this one is located just in the ancient town, which is perfect and cozy. The interior of the hotel matches the turn style, the area is super quiet and peaceful. Also the mountain is visible from the window (and from the bathtub) Highly recommended! Just as in all other properties in Dali, hot water depends on solar energy. But there is still some hot water in cloudy days.

• Huiling (10/5): Peace Place, Nice Host. - The host is helpful. Hostel to old town street just 10 minutes walk and around is restaurant. Nearby got morning market just 8 minutes walk. Convenient place. Room it's clean & peace, can sleep well without annoying sound. Recommended Not really
