The water pressure was really good with amazing shower gel , shampoo and conditioner. The host was the best we have had on any of our travels - she went out of her way to assist us on anything we required and gave us great tips. The free tarts and cakes in the kitchen were lovely touch. The aircon worked but did not really cool to the desired temperature.

Fausta was incredibly welcoming and informative, always happy to help with recommendations and making me feel at home from the moment I arrived. The room was absolutely spotless, and such a lovely touch to have homemade torte and biscuits available for guests in the kitchen at any time — it really added to the warm, personal feel of the stay. The bed was super comfortable, making it easy to relax after long days wandering around Rome. One of my favourite parts was stepping out onto the terrace each afternoon. Having an outdoor space like that in Rome truly made the experience unforgettable. I would happily stay here again! Nothing

She gave restaurant recommendations and responded with detailed instructions when I thought I was lost enroute. I was greeted with a freshly homemade tart and other treats, and espresso upon arrival. My room with private en-suite was comfortable and clean. The location was spectacular and guidance on local navigation was excellent. I could not have found a more perfect spot for my first and only night in Rome. I wish it had some outdoor space like a patio. If there was one I didn’t find it.

The apartment was in a fabulous location for a slightly different/ more local Rome visit. The entrance was a bit of a shock at first as the guest house is on the first floor of a traditional apartment block, and it is a bit gloomy. Rome is sadly completely covered in graffiti so it makes everywhere look a bit rough. But it was very safe and there was a lift so I quickly got used to it.

• Boudewijn (10/5): Fantastic! - The host Fausta is fantastic! She is very helpful, has great tips and really makes you feel at home as soon as you arrive. I even received a nice glass of prosecco and delicious freshly baked cake and cookies. :-) The rooms, including the common area, are beautiful and very clean. It is luxureous and beautifully decorated. Even the little details make the difference, such as organic soaps and a very comfortable bed/pillows. The location is also fantastic, on the edge of beautiful Trastevere, away from the noise both in walking (few minutes) of all the great sights. I will definitely book a room here again.

Das Ripagrande liegt direkt am Tiber, am Rande von Trestevere, herrlich ruhig, abseits vom Tourismustrubel aber dennoch so zentral das man zu Fuß in zwanzig Minuten am Trevibrunnen ist. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet. Besonders liebevoll ist die kleine Bar in der Küche auf der sich stets leckere Kuchen und Kekse wiederfinden an denen sich die Gäste bedienen dürfen. Es gab nichts auszusetzen, ich würde jederzeit wieder buchen!

Cela fait plus de 15 ans que je viens régulièrement à Rome, pour le travail comme pour le plaisir, et je peux dire sans hésiter que c’est l’un des meilleurs hébergements où j’ai séjourné. L’emplacement est parfait : dans une rue calme tout en étant très central, ce qui permet de profiter de la ville facilement tout en ayant un vrai moment de tranquillité. La guest house est magnifique, décorée avec beaucoup de goût, entièrement rénovée et impeccablement entretenue (d'ailleurs, très propre!). Tout est neuf et fonctionne parfaitement, et l’on y trouve absolument tout ce dont on a besoin. Je m’y suis sentie immédiatement comme chez moi. Un point que j’apprécie particulièrement : Fausta veille au respect du calme dans la maison. Pour moi c’est essentiel, car je dors très mal s’il y a du bruit, et ici les nuits sont vraiment paisibles. Je reviendrai sans hésiter lors de mon prochain séjour à Rome et je recommande cet endroit les yeux fermés. Rien à signaler, tout était mieux que ce à quoi je m’attendais.

Honestly, I thought I was booking a hotel but when I showed up I was greeted with such an intimate atmosphere that made my experience a 10/10. I was nervous about traveling solo, but the location was in the part of the city that’s a little separate so it was nice and quiet at night, but close to the Trastevere center so you really felt like a local wandering around to find the niche spots. Also there were the most amazing walks to get to all the cool sights! It was so fun being only 20 minutes walking from the Colosseum. Fausta gave me such amazing recommendations about where to get a drink, where to eat…she even made some of my reservations for me! The bed was so comfortable and the room had everything you’d need. She provided little local pastries that I would snack on before heading out that were so yummy too! I will definitely be staying here again when I come back:)

• Jennifer Jersey Kodros (9/5): 5 Star Service and Prime Location - Fausta and her team were incredible, from communication before arrival to assisting with finding us additional lodging when our flight home was canceled to helping us book our taxi to the airport, I cannot say enough about how blown away I was by the hospitality. We arrived unexpectedly early and they let us check-in no problem and while we were in town, we were checked on and given restaurant recs. Exceptional service - Fausta is a Roman gem as far as I'm concerned! The walls are very thin. I can sleep through anything but if you're a light sleeper, something to keep in mind! It's an old building, so there's no way around it : )

It is also within walking distance to many of Rome’s attractions, with restaurants galore less than a block away. There is also a guest kitchen area so you can store food in a fridge if needed. The mattress is a little firm for my liking, but that is just personal taste. It’s not a luxury hotel so can’t complain.

Fausta was exceptionally helpful and considerate to what I might need, her communication was 11/10 for checking in and out - nothing was a problem. Not a problem, it is 25mins walk to most things so if you are not up for that location might not be appropriate.

• ALASDAIR CHARLES (9/5): - Great location for discovering Trastavere; not quite as convenient for the centre, and access to the Metro. Lovely terrace. Beware of pickpockets and handbag snatchers! Exercise vigilance at all times.

They were very accommodating during out short stay in Rome, and made us feel right at home. This location is very walkable to a ton of nearby restaurants/shops as well. We can't wait to go back!!
