La habitación cómoda con aire acondicionado lo cual es perfecto ya que dormimos con total tranquilidad sin problemas de zancudos.

There is an outside bit you can sit at as well with a beautiful view. The hosts were super friendly and accommodating. They made us feel really welcome The location is perfect - very calm, no cars passing by but a short walk to centre of town. Overall really great experience, would book again without a doubt! nothing

Le cadre paisible, la décoration et la propreté du logement sont en adéquations - La chambre était spacieuse et la salle de bain partagé avec les propriétaires très propre. La localisation, paisible à une dizaine de minutes à pied du centre. La terrasse a une vue magnifique et dispose d’un filet pour contempler les étoiles.

Jungle Joy has a better view, but this place offers such personal attention to each guest and such genuine hospitality that we haven’t experienced anything like it in a long time, even though we travel a lot. and the jacuzzi was a perfect relax after a long day hiking Minca trails.

Coin tranquille dans la nature de Minca et proche du centre à pied. Une salle de bain commune avec WC pour toutes les chambres mais ce n’était pas très gênant. L’eau est froide mais comme partout sur la côte.

• Kathleen (7/5): Beautiful location, nice staff, late quiet hours, a few things need some attention - Beautiful location 8 minutes walk to town and very quiet area. The staff is very kind and keeps everything clean. The bed was uncomfortable and there is a strong sewage smell in my room, especially in the mornings. The quiet time isn’t until 12am so people were very loud 2 of the nights. They allow their cute cat on the counter which makes it challenging to cook because if you leave your food for a moment, it will try to eat. I had to ask for a blanket.

La ubicación, está algo retirado del pueblo que no fuera problema si por lo menos vendieran ellos mismo comida, además de que tampoco hay un recepcionista que ponga orden, por ejemplo el día que me quede la mañana siguiente habían unas personas a las 6 de la mañana con un escándalo durante un buen tiempo y aparte de eso, más tarde habían unos niños corriendo y tocando la puerta, entonces pienso que una recepcionista le da más control a estás cosas. Pero la habitación y del lugar como tal no tengo problemas solo con el personal que no hay quien regule el hotel.

• Paulina (7/5): If you’re visiting Minca, I’d recommend just splurging a little, the difference in price is small, and you can find more - The location is very nice, tucked away from the noise and coming in and out was really easy and convenient. We did notice a few things that could be improved. There weren’t quite enough towels, toilet paper, or soap provided. The mattresses and pillows were also on the thinner side, which made sleeping a bit less comfortable than expected.

So many mosquitoes in the room - I wish there had been a mosquito net over the bed. We got bitten so much even with loads of bug spray on. Likewise in the kitchen - tricky to cook with so many bugs flying around.

Complimentary tea and coffee was a nice gesture. We were in a rush when we booked our accommodation in Minca so didn’t do much research like we usually do. Ratings and reviews at this place looked good enough, so we booked one night here. Big regret when we arrived 😅 I had to provide a hotspot WiFi network for the guy helping me so that he could see the reservation on Booking platform. He had no data and their WiFi was down… I initially tried to show him the booking confirmation I received and this wasn’t enough. We have been travelling South America for 5 months and this is the worst accommodation we’ve had so far. We tried to justify the poor quality with the descent cost, however we were paying a similar amount of money for MUCH better accommodation in Santa Marta. We were so shocked with the quality that we did some research of other options in Minca just to see if it was similar to what we had unfortunately commuted to at Akainoie… Competitor prices were similar, but accommodation was a lot better! Shocking kitchen conditions, clothes/ laundry hung over the railing on the dirty balcony, poor quality synthetic sheets, highly uncomfortable bed. We are backpackers… we hike, we camp, we endure multiple days of highly basic living… We couldn’t wait to leave this place the next morning. No idea how it has such great reviews!? Hopefully we just had a bad experience…

• Paul (7/5): Convenient and comfortable place to stay near the town centre - Good location, close to the centre. Good facilities in the kitchen, but it wasn't kept clean. Working air conditioning, comfortable bed and clean bathroom in the room. No hot shower, not unusual in this area.
• Jelle (6/5): Pleasant - We had a nice private room with bathroom and airconditioning. Not big, but enough for us. The accommodation had an amazing balcony with a beautiful view. The kitchen was especially dirty, with flies flying everywhere. Didn't seem like it got well cleaned for a long time.
• Richard (6/5): Pleasant - It was a budget price so it was priced right. The location was good being about a 5-10 minute walk out of town. Therefore no loud noise from the town, quite peaceful.l Understanding it was a budget place, however there were a few things that could make this place so much better. A little more attention and time out into cleaning and maintaining rooms. The dishes were left on the rack and needed to be put away. The outside tables and benches need to be wiped without leaving a film over them. The rooms need to be serviced daily, particularly since toilet paper is placed in a bin and not flushed. By doing these few little things this place would be much more highly rated for the value.

Not far from the centre at all, easy to walk. - Shower pressure was really bad. With the cold shower water, it was really hard to shower. - Had a problem with our toilet not flushing properly. It was fixed the next day but the toilet still made a constant leaking sound which was slightly annoying.

Great kitchen and the owner was very good to deal with. - We stayed in a private room and it exceeded expectations, the air-conditioner worked perfectly the bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was great. The kitchen had great appliances and the balcony was in a great location to enjoy the sunset and the afternoon. No problems with this accomodation, all round great value.

Could use washing machine for free just needed to supply own powder which was a huge benefit so we were able to do a few loads whilst there. About 10-15 min walk to town which is fine but it’s just a bit dark the road at night.

• Linda (7/5): Good rooms and a balcony full of potentials - Our room was nice and clean. We could use the kitchen and the view from the balcony is really nice. Nice and quietly located a bit from the main road but still close enough to walk there in a short amount of time. This place has a lot of potential with the nice balcony but since there were only some plastic chairs it didn’t really contribute to a relaxed atmosphere. Some hammocks or a nice seating area could change a lot. The bathroom could be a bit cleaner and since you share the kitchen with the family it we sometimes felt a bit like intruders.

George, the owner always made sure we were confortable and Jesus who takes care of the house is just adorable!

Far enough from town to get away from the noise but not too far. Electrical issues meant one poor night's sleep but I think that's just the rustic nature of the place. Make sure you charge your appliances as there are power cuts too.
