• Salomé (7/5): - Le personnel de l’hôtel est vraiment très attentionné et adorable. Le petit-déjeuner est très bon. L’hôtel est situé dans un quartier agréable et calme. Les draps étaient propres et le lit confortable. Je trouve dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de réelle fenêtre dans la chambre. Je trouve même cela un peu limite en terme de sécurité. Le ménage mériterait peut-être un peu plus d’attention dans la chambre et la salle de bain (même si cela n’est pas sale à proprement parler). Les murs de la chambre auraient besoin d’être rafraîchis, en particulier celui autour de la climatisation. Il me semblerait également mieux que le chat n’ait pas accès aux chambres.

• Floris Vb (10/5): - The place was really cosy. Felt like home. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. In the morning you can enjoy the homemade breakfast : usually a soup or a banh mi. The living room is very nice you can even play some Wii games like mario bros or playstation. The location is quiet and in a very nice neighborhood. Was a really nice stay !

• Jolijn (10/5): Super plek om vanuit hier de stad te verkennen! - Dit hostel was geweldig. We werden bij binnenkomst meteen vriendelijk ontvangen en kregen allerlei tips in de omgeving. Die trouwens perfect is want je zit midden in de stad, maar uit de drukte van de stad omdat het in een kleiner steegje is. De faciliteiten zijn top: er zit een goede wasservice bij en ze kunnen activiteiten en bussen voor je boeken. Het ontbijt was perfect en heel gezellig aan de grote tafel beneden. Daarnaast waren ook de kamers heel comfortabel en net, we gaan het hier echt missen en zullen de volgende keer zeker weer hier verblijven!!

• dimitry (9/5): Parfait! - Un grand merci pour l’accueil, nous avons passé un super séjour dans votre établissement. Nous avons pu obtenir notre chambre à 7h lors de notre arrivée, ce qui était vraiment un vrai plus pour pouvoir se poser et prendre une douche après un vol de 12h. Le personnel est très agréable, la chambre est spacieuse et propre, le petit chat est adorable et a beaucoup plu à notre fils. Un grand merci à vous pour tout, et aussi pour nos banh mi à emporter le jour de notre part, ils étaient délicieux! L’accès en taxi/grab est assez difficile car il est dans une petite ruelle

• TSAI RUNG (8/5): 以CP值來說還不錯 - 員工跟老闆很熱心，因為沒有電梯幫忙我搬行李 女生背包房中有乾濕分離的浴室，熱水也很快熱 第一天抵達時，櫃檯小姐跟我說，今晚房間只有我一位，可以隨意選床位但要加價，在國外我說可以接受這部分，因為我今天確實身體不太舒服，需要一個人的空間 甚至櫃子上鎖有問題，員工也很積極處理，因床位未弄亂也同意我在換床位，旅館的貓貓也很可愛，每個早上都有附早餐 旅館自製地圖，上面詳細介紹附近店家 旅館位置在安靜的住宅巷弄內，離熱鬧大街走路只要5分鐘，附近有很多店可以逛跟吃 床位下方可以放行李箱，只是不太能上鎖而且快鬆脫的樣子 床墊很硬睡的有點腰痠，有天晚上浴室內有隻大蟑螂⋯ 不知道是從哪裡跑進來的⋯除了上述其他都不錯

Als ich zu einem Ausflug früher gehen musste, wurde mir extra früher das Frühstück zubereitet. Es gibt einen Wasserspender. Jeden Tag ein frisches Duschtuch, richtig klasse. Die Dusche könnte renoviert werden.

• Natalia (10/5): Chętnie bym wróciła - Pobyt bardzo udany! Na plus zdecydowanie zasługuje mały balkon w pokoju, który dodaje uroku i pozwala chwilę odpocząć na świeżym powietrzu. Obsługa była bardzo miła i pomocna, już przy zameldowaniu pan podzielił się swoimi rekomendacjami, co było świetnym startem pobytu. Dużym atutem jest również taras widokowy na ostatnim piętrze oraz przesympatyczny kot, który dodaje temu miejscu wyjątkowego klimatu. Śniadania były bardzo dobre i wygodnie serwowane do stołu. Pokój był czysty. Z minusów: do pokoju trzeba się trochę powspinać, co może być uciążliwe dla niektórych. Pokój przydałoby się też lekko odświeżyć, np. odmalować ściany.

La pulizia non è tra le migliori, peccato perché la stanza di per sé andrebbe bene. È un dispiacere dare giudizi non totalmente positivi, perché il proprietario è davvero super carino.
• Jacek (5/5): - I chose this place because of the “Japanese quality.” I expected it to be a level above typical local accommodations. However, I did not see many special advantages. The location is definitely one of them. Also, the staff were friendly, and the map given to every guest is very useful. Thanks to it you can find where it’s worth eating, where to get good coffee, where to get a good massage, etc. However, the negatives stay in memory more. 1. Vietnam is a country full of trash and dirt, but during two weeks I stayed in six different places and only here did I find cockroaches in the room and bathroom. 2. The triple room was cramped. Maybe if we had no luggage at all, it would be possible to move freely between the beds, but when each person has a suitcase or backpack, comfort is out of the question. 3. The owner was really nice, but when he offers to arrange a taxi to the airport, I expect him to actually arrange it, especially since I had an early flight and needed to leave for the airport at 3 a.m. The owner said, “OK, no problem.” But when I went to confirm shortly before 10 p.m the day before, I interrupted him drinking with friends and, already a bit tipsy, he said, “Order a Grab yourself, it will be cheaper.” But I didn’t want to risk hunting for a Grab at 3 a.m.; I preferred to pay more but be sure I would arrive on time. So that was disappointing. In the end, I managed to order Grab, it cost 110k instead of 250k (what the hostel owner wanted). So it’s better not to rely on extra services and just arrange important things yourself.

• linda (9/5): Great value - Usagiyah Hotel & Guest House is basically a hostel with some private rooms. The staff was lovely and the accommodations were fine - the bed was very hard, but that seems to be typical in Vietnam. The location was in an alley - cats could get there, but the walk from the bigger streets wasn’t bad. Great value for the cost. It was great for what it was.

We also really enjoyed the rooftop patio, which was a nice space to relax. Service overall was good and we appreciated the helpful attitude of the team. The property had more of a hostel feel than we expected based on the listing. We also had an issue with the room configuration as we had booked a room for two adults and three children, but the room only had two double beds and there was no option to add a cot. It was unclear how the room was meant to accommodate five people, which made things tight, but we made it work.

Such a warm welcome from Mr Ishida Yasuhiko ,the owner, and all of the staff, they did everything possible to make our stay perfect ( Zuyen needs a special mention here). The location is great, in a quiet alley, in an area of interesting back streets and alleys, where you feel you're in the real city, not just another tourist area,yet only a short walk to the centre. The rooms are clean and comfortable and have all you could need. Breakfast was great, they made special vegetarian food for us each morning, it's great to start the day without having to face the streets in search of food. Nice communal space for breakfast (which they cook for you) and relaxation spaces downstairs and on the rooftop. Super cute cat who loves everyone! Lots of cafes/restaurants nearby by foot or Grab (beware of traffic) Our room was facing directly opposite another building so we didn’t feel comfortable having the curtains open whilst we were in, as people can look directly into the room. Towels were also a little bit old and rough. Everything else was nice

• Kevin (8/5): Very good - The place is very nice and comfortable. On our first night, we had an issue with another guest who was neurodivergent and made some noise. The receptionist immediately addressed the situation and even offered a refund to resolve the problem. This proactive approach convinced me to stay longer. Everything else was excellent, and it even encouraged me to try more of their services, like motorcycle rentals. The staff is incredibly friendly, respectful, and reasonable. My girlfriend visited me during my stay, and they kindly allowed her to work with me in the common area. I have to be fair—they are great people and made us feel welcome. However, we had an issue with the motorcycle rental. During a ride, I hit a very bumpy road and lost control of the motorbike, resulting in an accident. Thankfully, I only had minor scratches, but the motorcycle's plastic cover was damaged. I immediately offered to pay for the repair. They took it to a Honda dealer, and the repair cost was around 1.7 million VND, as the replacement part had to be ordered and would take two weeks to arrive. One of the hostel owners then charged me an additional fee for the downtime of the motorcycle, saying it would be unavailable for rent during that period. They offered a 50% discount on this downtime fee, but I found it unreasonable. I suggested keeping the motorcycle for myself during the waiting period, but the owner later reversed this agreement, saying the bike would remain with them. After lengthy discussions, we settled on a higher amount than just the repair cost, which left me disappointed and frustrated. I want to believe that this mindset only reflects the opinion of one staff member. The rest of the team is well-trained, reasonable, and respectful, which makes the situation even more unfortunate. Ultimately, I decided to look for another place. If you run a business, you should account for the inherent risks. • Senga (10/5): Perfect in every way - Excellent. Staff were great. Breakfast a variety of food to chose from. Clean, hot water & wifi. A fresh towel every day. Lots of restaurants nearby. I will return to this hostel in the ear future
• Xinyan (10/5): 100% recommend - The bed was very comfortable, and the room was spacious. A foldable table next to the bed was a convenient addition for placing items. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious! There are plenty of restaurants, spas, and nail salons nearby. Not a bad thing but it is located in a small valley. I was personally very fine with it

Easy going staff, I recommend it for single tourists, couples and group of f - Very friendly staff and owner:) The hotel is conveniently located- close to the city center, but in a very quiet neighbourhood which was important to us. Everything was good :)

• Moon (9/5): Staff are kind. Breakfast is decent. Rooms are spacious and clean. - It is one of the cleanest hostels in Ho Chi Minh since the owner is Japanese. Most hostels in Vietnam run by locals are narrow, stuffy, and old. The staff was good and could converse in English. I made new friends here. On my last day, we drank and hung out. The neighborhood is quiet since it's deep inside the alley, but the entrance is not the best. The breakfast is quite decent. It's not so grand, but it's enough to fill your stomach before you explore the city. The hot water in the shower room is not functioning, so you need to bathe in cold water. The hostel's location rating may be due to the alley, but it is still within the center of the tourist spots.
• Alice (8/5): Lovely guesthouse - The guesthouse owner very kind and helpful. The room was clean and they gave us a cot for our small baby!
• Nabi (4/5): I think those who said “exceptional” for this place, never paid over $10 for a hotel. - The stuff was friendly May be it is good bag packers. Breakfast was 2 option: noodle soup or egg sandwich.
