• Lisa (10/5): Schönes Hostel mit tollem Garten, nah am Nationalpark - Ein sehr schön gestaltetes Hostel mit komfortablen Betten und angenehmen 4 Betten Schlafsälen, jeweils mit kleiner Terrasse und Ventilator. Die Küche ist sehr groß und sauber. Es gibt viele Sanitäranlagen, auch sehr sauber. Alles ist sehr gepflegt. Das WLAN ist sehr stabil. Der Garten ist das Highlight. Es gibt Hängematten, Sitzmöglichkeiten und viele Vögel!! Zum Nationalpark bzw Strand ist es nicht weit. Das Personal an der Rezeption ist freundlich und es gibt alle Infos die man benötigt. Nachts sind sehr viele Käfer in den Sanitäranlagen, aber dafür kann das Hostel nichts :)
• Larissa Cristina (10/5): Um ótimo espaço para se hospedar e descançar - Espaço muito bom e acolhedor, tudo sempre bem limpo e o pessoal sempre muito solicito para ajudar. Cozinha bem equipada, cama muito confortável e espaço ao ar livre perto da natureza, permitindo ver alguns animais.

Propreté impeccable, espace commun complet y compris une petite salle de sport et un beau jardin, chambre très confortable avec rangement et salle de bain commune propre. Situé à 10 min à pied de l’entrée du parc, mini supermarket à côté ainsi que restaurants/cafe de toutes sortes. Le personnel était correct mais mention spéciale à une jeune réception de l’après midi soir (céleste je crois) qui a été très professionnelle et solaire ! Rien

I found confusing.Where's the bathrooms had signs on them with specific numbers that seem to be assigned to room that were a little confusing.I'm not sure if there was a room there or if it was another room.It was a confusing sign that said number six or number five , but the bathroom souls probably could use more hooks on the wall , but other than that was great The bathrooms were numbered funny and also there was no hooks on the wall.In the big bathroom
• Marjorie (10/5): Super! J’ai adoré! - Tout était propre! Les douches et toilettes à l’écart, les codes aux portes très sécuritaires. Les lits sont confortables. Ils ont la liste pour les horaires d’autobus puis des activités à faire. La cuisine est belle et propre.
• Daphne (7/5): Clean facilities but termite infestation - Quiet, small rooms. Each room has their own balcony. Kitchen is clean! Right next to a delicious restaurant. The girl staying on the bunk above mine had TERMITES all over her bed!! Also, they charged me cash for a key deposit, but nobody was at the front desk in the morning when I checked out, so I couldn’t get my cash deposit back. No hot water.
• Meshi (10/5): מעולה - כל ההוסטל מוקף בצמחייה ומטופח.הצוות ענה על כל שאלה והיה זמין. החדרים נעימים וחדישים,החללים המשותפים נעימים לישיבה. יש מקום לתלות את הבגדים הרטובים ומרגיש שחשבו הרבה בשביל לעשות לאורחים חוויה טובה. יש סופר קטן קרוב. המיקום טוב כי הוא די במרכז בין הכביש הראשי לים ככה שאפשר להגיע בהליכה. (20 דקות לים ו20 לסופר) אין מים חמים במקלחות אבל זה ככה בדרך כלל.

• Dajana (10/5): Hier ist man sehr gut aufgehoben. - Das Ambiente, die Lage, die freundlichen Menschen, mein Bett im Schlafsaal mit so einer schönen Aussicht, das Bad , das Essen, mir hat hier so viel gefallen. Es war ein super schöner Abschluss für einen sehr spannenden, großartigen Urlaub. Danke , dass ich hier sein durfte.

• Lena (9/5): Super Hostel - deutlich besser als erwartet - Schönes Hostel mit tollem Garten, in dem man auch Tiere sehen kann. Gut ausgestattete Outdoor-Küche und schönes Ambiente und netter Besitzer. Hätten unseren Aufenthalt auch noch verlängert, wenn wir nicht schon andere Pläne gehabt hätten. Die Volunteers haben uns keine wirklichen Auskünfte geben können, als wir nach Bussen usw. Gefragt haben und waren auch nicht besonders aufgeschlossen oder freundlich. An einem Abend waren Gäste sehr laut und auch da hat die Volunteer nicht gesagt, dass man ruhig sein muss, sondern saß mit dabei.

• Blaise (10/5): - Les dortoirs sont propres, fuminieux et bien entretenus (femme de ménage qui refait les lits tous les jours). La cuisine est très bien équipée et l’hostel met à disposition huile, sauce et épices. Le personnel est a l’écoute et donne des bonnes indications pour les bus à prendre. La plage est facilement accessible à pied.

• Doris (8/5): - Das Hostel hat eine angenehme Grösse, einen schönen Garten mit vielen Vögeln. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet - nur der Kühlschrank könnte grösser sein. Die Betten sind bequem und da sie aus Metall sind, quietschen sie nicht. In 10 Minuten ist man zu Fuss am Strand. Ein paar Hängematten wären schön! Und ein paar Haken oder Tablare im Zimmer hätten wir geschätzt!

• Alena (10/5): Loved my stay at Karandi! - Well located if you like to stay a bit closer to the beach. Staff and owner were very friendly and it was extraordinary clean. They clean the rooms every day and it’s nice to have small rooms with only four beds in it. Every room has its own patio which is quite nice. Cool open kitchen and a lovely garden. And overall very affordable!

• Nuñez (10/5): Lugar muy lindo con mucho parque y cómodo para dormir. - Tenía camas súper cómodas, buena comunicación con las demás hospedadas. Es un lugar muy cómodo para realizar ocio tiene sillas cómodas, hamacas paraguayas y un parque muy lindo. Está bueno que tengan un restaurante al lado y te hacen descuento Tenía la licuadora rota y estaban haciendo refaccciones, pero bueno igualmente el lugar es precioso. Lástima que no ofrecen café y té como en otros hostel.

• Grieve (8/5): Two night stopover on the way to Corcovado - Lots of cool birds around the property and even a resident crocodile (not near the housing)! It’s really close to the beach which is nice and there is a mini mart not that far from the property (5min walk) Supermercado is 20 ish min walk away but that’s uvita for you. I think they should invest in bed fans because the big ceiling fan is not enough!

But just become friends with someone with a car and do one big grocery shopping with them. There

Friendly atmosphere and a nice garden to look at birds and lizards. Staff was nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend! The common area could do with better seating - both chairs and tables seem to be non-permanent solutions. Sometimes there came a sudden awful smell in the kitchen area (maybe from the organic waste basket?).

• Allyson (10/5): Exceptional - It was my first time staying in a dormitory and it was a really great experience. This place is very chill, calm, relax and clean. The garden is amazing with so many birds to watch. The kitchen is good, enough bathroom and shower for everyone. The vibe is super chill, no party or anything. Its not in the center of uvita but more close to the beach. You can walk to the beach its a 10 minutes walk max. There is restaurant around and places you can book tour with or rental a bicycle like i did so i was able to look around the town. I cant recommend it more !! Nothing :)
• Beatriz (7/5): Good - The location is great because you are 15min from the beach to either side and the main road where you have atm and big supermarket. Also, 5min from the bus station. The staff was really nice and helpful. Rooms are big. Of course that hostel experiences very much depend on the groups of people you have there at the time. I got really unlucky and got 2 days in a row groups very noise and the rooms have 0 sound isolation.
• B. (10/5): 100% recommend - This place is just amazing, was the best hostel i stayed in Costa Rica. It was always Clean and you can see, the people who work there are enjoying it. The owner is really nice. The Open kitchen is perfect located, enjoy your breakfast and watch all the amazing birds and trees around you. I just loved it there and tbh did not wanna leave 😂. There are enough showers and toilets for everyone. The rooms have enough space, and every room has also a little Patio attached to it. It is also close to the beach.
• Katrin (9/5): Superb - The atmosphere is very welcoming and there is great social vibe but also a chill and relaxing space. The gardens are lovely and have a lot of wildlife. The hostel is in a great location, in a quiet part of Uvita only 10 minutes walk from the beach, next to a minimarket and with several great cafes and restaurants around. Breakfast was good (and cost effective for Costa Rica) but can be repetitive if you're staying longer term as there are only two options.

The outside area could be a bit updated. A sofa or something instead of the broken chairs could do wonders. Also the hammock's could be replaced. Also some hooks in the bathroom would be helpful.

They will also wax your legs if you're into that. 10 min walk to the beach, close to minimart. A bit noisy sicadas when sleeping. Only discounts with cash at restaurant.

• Eva (9/5): Great value for money, have to be comfortable with dorms - Attached to my favorite restaurant in Uvita, about 0.8km away from the beach (Playa Chaman), nice garden, only dorms available. The beds are comfortable bunk beds. Staff is exceptionally nice! Access to the upper bunk is a bit difficult. The fan is directly above the upper bunks.
• Marta (7/5): Good - the hostel itself it’s really pretty, immerse in the nature with comfy open air common areas. it’s close to the marino ballena national park and has a bar/restaurant onsite. not a very sociable hostel (probably due to the low season). has no hot water in the shower. staff not always present at the reception but ready to help and assist you.
• Emilia (9/5): Beautiful place - The outside area is amazing, such a beautiful garden! Everything was very clean, the staff was so nice and the dorms have everything you need, even a little terrace. I loved staying here! Only thing missing for me in the dorm were hooks to hang up clothes. But you can hang them outside.
• Eva (9/5): Superb - One of the cleanest hostels I’ve been in Costa Rica! Doesn’t have the “rundown down” effect many other hostels have . Super nice surroundings . Short walk to the beach . Fabulous restaurant on site with discounts of hostel guests. Very convenient when it rains and one doesn’t want to walk anywhere . Only 4 people per room and it has lockers and a wash basin in the dorm rooms - as well as a balcony . The staff is super friendly and you can get all the help with your travel needs. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable . However the pillows were great .
• Nathan (10/5): Perfect stay at a great price - Simple, comfortable room. Fantastic value. Beautiful grounds. The restaurant next door (which I believe they are associated with) is awesome. The staff helped us book tours as well.
