• Margaret Coates (10/5): This is a hidden gem - well worth stopping in the area and great accomodation with helpful hosts - Great location - beautiful views , walk to town centre ( a little hilly but also easy short drive ), plenty options for dining / groceries, great base to explore tourist l attractions Clean, tidy good sized room , cosy and comfy bed and good sized bedside tables, good lighting in room. Hosts very helpful and welcoming . Little extras like USB adaptor, little shelf/ sensor lights in bathroom , mirrors, ,coffee pods / Nespresso machine, snacks/ breakfast supplies, complimentary toiletries , board games , detailed manual on attractions / about room all thoughtfully and generously provided . There's a little table and chairs on deck and secure parking on premises. Our hosts Belinda and Dennis live on site, and were so friendly and helpful Just wished we could have stayed longer ! Can’t fault anything. Everything met and exceeded our expectations.

• Natalee (10/5): If I am ever in Boonah again I would definitely stay at Hideaway at Hume #2 - Warm, welcoming hosts, comfy and homely accommodation, a great variety of breakfast foods, and lovely bathroom products. I felt well looked after. Conveniently located within walking distance to the centre of town, such as IGA, cafes and dining options. Maybe snack/lunch could be an option, such as a cheese platter. No free Netflix - had to log in with my password. leaving me logged in. I would like fresh milk, not long-life milk, for cereal and coffee.

• Scott Ledger (9/5): Comfortable cottage, excellent host and perfect location to explore the Scenic Rim - Belinda was an excellent host. She was very friendly and gave us good local information about what to see and do and where to eat. We stayed in Hume #2 which is a separate cottage with plenty of room in the living room and the bathroom. The cottage has a verandah and garden where you can sit and enjoy the sunrise or sunset or just read a book in the peaceful setting. The cottage has all the facilities required for a short stay. It is on a hill with views over Boonah and towards Cunningham's Gap and only a 10 minute walk to the main street. Boonah is lovely town with a village like atmosphere and plenty of places to eat and drink. We had a delicious morning tea at The Story Tree cafe, tasty pizzas from Boonah Pizza, a relaxing lunch at the Mogerah Dam cafe and a delightful lunch on the terrace at the Lavender Farm. The cottage location is perfect for exploring the Scenic Rim. Can't fault the accommodation and hospitality.

A good range of items supplied for self-made breakfast. I did not have to wash the dishes after breakfast. Overall, excellent value. Maybe too many pillows on bed.

Belinda was a fantastic host who had excellent communication and was very welcoming. The ammentities were clean and tidy and the bed was comfy (although slightly squeaky!).

The accommodation itself it located in a quiet location on a hill, offering rural views and sounds. This is definitely a "Hidden Gem" and I will be back to stay next time I'm driving through. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Belinda an efficient but friendly hostess, not hovering. Catered for my dietary requirements Really can’t think of anything! Maybe grab rails in the shower would be good.’Definitely not disability access owing to entry over grass, but this not a problem for us.
