Guest Reviews

- Peter (9/5): - Location , comfortable Room is a bit dated , needs some maintenance
- Hermann (8/5): -
- Anatoli (7/5): -

LA CAMERA AVEVA ANCHE UN GIARDINO, MA A CAUSA DELLA STAGIONE NON E' STATO POSSIBILE UTILIZZARLA MANCAVA LA COLAZIONE IN STRUTTURA

Erg gehorig.
- Eva (8/5): - The location is great, close to the tram station that takes you to the city. The bed is super comfy! All very clean, although the walls are thin and you can hear a lot. The hotel is great, no staff but you can always call about any issues. We had some problems as there was no hot water during our stay... we are still waiting for a refund for that night but have not received it yet.

- Karen (5/5): Bremen was very busy on this weekend so all hotel prices seemed to be artificially high. Definitely only a place to get - Location was good Very high price for a very basic room. Charged 100 Euro and 15 for the dog when just a cheap laminate floor, basic bed and wardrobe couldn’t require more cleaning. The hotel is unmanned so possibly not ideal if you are a solo traveller.
You can hear others returning to room because of an reverberant stair well and noisy doors.
- Santiago (10/5): Exceptional value for money with a good location - The hotel follows a staff free and trust based approach, the check-in was done through an intercom at the door and was very smooth. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Hotel offered a self service breakfast free of charge. It was a modest but nice selection of cereal, cheese, cold meat cuts, fruits, tee and coffee so all in all one can get a very decent breakfast to start the day.
The room was comfortable and clean with basic services such as hair dryer, toiletry, and a selection of tee, instant coffee. Perhaps the quality of the towels could be improved a bit.
Location wise, it was pretty easy to reach, a quick 10 tram ride from the main station and a short walk. I would definitely stay here again. Quality of the towels could be improved. The door of the bathroom shower needs some maintenance.
- Cortlan (10/5): Exceptional - Super large rooms w huge bathrooms!! It wasn’t a problem for me but if you have problems climbing stairs to reach room (not sure if have rooms on ground floor?)
- Bill (6/5): Pleasant - The room. The location The booking.com gave the address. Sometimes the right address, sometimes the sister hotel Art Hotel. We went to the wrong hotel.
- Ayden (6/5): Good value. - Nice and quiet neighborhood quite near the river. Good to reach via tram. Room was nice and large, bed was comfortable and clean, bathroom was well equipped with a shower and a tub and of a very good size altogether.
Room was equipped with a large wardrobe, TV, desk and a seating area with comfortable lounge-style chairs.
Contactless entrance via confirmation of booking and key in door, very straightforward and simple.
Breakfast was very good value and there were lots of (also vegetarian) options. Coffee was alright. The room was a little bit dusty (not in the main areas, they were clean). Also very thin walls, no proper soundproofing. But luckily only one room next to mine and they were mostly quiet. TV made a horrible high pitched noise, I could not use it (but have sensitive hearing).
The lock was a bit difficult to open (did not turn smoothly) and there were quite a few stairs, so people with mobility issues could have problems.
View out of the window was just a fence but it was also a very reasonably priced room so I did not expect anything outstanding and only arrived after dark anyway.
- Hersa (8/5): Very good -
- Bettsy60 (6/5): Quircky but ok - Stayed here 5 nights ,it is clean but the place needs a little tlc, nice buffet breakfast everyday ,we arrived at 9am and the room wasn't allocated for us till 2 so we sat outside at the front and the lady there brought us a cuppa out and told us she would get the room ready for us in eine uhr (1 hour)( we had travelled overnight on the train from cologne) had a walk down to the river came back at 10 and hey presto let us have the room before time which was a nice gesture and much appreciated, it is quite basic but it was fine overall .None off the staff speak english so my limited german came in handy here and the bar was never open but there are lots of amenties closeby. Not the Dorchester but not the worst place to stay by any means.
- pilchy327 (4/5): Poor Facilities - I would describe this hotel as a budget hotel which is Ok for one night's stay. Although the rooms were clean, the facilities and comfort of the room/hotel were poor in my opinion. We arrived at 6pm to find that the bar was closed and there were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room, and therefore, we had to go out to get a drink and food. The next day we asked if we could leave our cases in the hotel reception until 2pm in the afternoon, but were told that no one would be at the hotel! The bedlinen in the rooms were poor quality. If going again I would pay a little more for another hotel to guarantee better value for money.
- tourista60 (4/5): Not recommenable - Only one thing makes me unable to recommend this hotel. The most unpleasant
odor in the rooms. Our first stay was for 5 nights in Feb, 2009 (mother in Klinik). Had a basement room. Assumed the odor came from the bathroom toilet, and was due to
the below street level. Unfortunately - not so. Second stay in March, for one night (concert visit). This time our room was on the second floor. Same smell!! Mentioned it the first time, but the staff was unable (not allowed ??) to comment (see following). Everything else about the hotel is perfectly acceptable. Clean, friendly, great public transportaton. Something should be done about "public toilet" smell!! There are young women (very friendly and competent) in the hotel in the mornings to serve the breakfast and clean rooms , but they were unable to deal with this problem - there is no other staff to whom one could go with the complaint.
- wila (8/5): Great Hotel for Football Stadium - Werder Bremen - I recently stayed at the hotel because of the reviews I read on Tripadvisor. I went to Brement to watch Bundesliga football - Werder bremen v Bayer Leverkusen. Much to my surpise the hotel was situated less than a five minute walk from the ground which was ideal. From the railyway station you can catch a tram which drops off near the hotel. It's a 2 minute walk to Verderner Strasse from where you will find the hotel. The hotel is small. The male reciptionist was not particualry welcoming but the room was more than adequate with en-suite facilities. The breakfast was superb and plentiful and overall I would definately recommend the hotel. After the game I went into a couple of bars nearby which were very wecloming and a treat. The area is very quite. On the monring afterwards I went back to the stadioum and walked along the river back into the city. It took me about 30 minutes and was very nice. I enjoyed Bremen and wish I'd stayed longer in the city. Its a nice place. As for the football ticket I rang Werder Bremen direclty and explained I wanted a ticket to he game. I spoke to Sebastian and he was very helpful and arranged this for me. It was easy to pick the ticket up on the day of the game by presenting my passport.
- Pyrtsi (8/5): Nice little hotel - Hotel is situated in quiet and safe area close to the Werder Bremen home stadium Weser Stadion.
The distance to city center is about 30 min by foot but there is a tram just around the corner leaving to the center. The area between the hotel and the city center is really interesting with cosy cafes, trendy bars, restaurants and small shops. So the Hamburger Strasse is really worth walking, wouldn't advice you to take the tram every time!
The hotel itself is small and cosy. The rooms are clean with nice view to the backyard of the block. Actually it's more like a park than a backyard. The stairs are acclivous so it's defenately not a place for people with weak feet. Decoration makes a nice atmosphere.
The front door was open only limited times and the rest of the time you could get in to the hotel with the room key. So there is no service during evenings and nights, but when there was, the lady at the front desc was helpful and friendly.
After all the hotel is really nice. Nothing special, but the situation is good and the price wasn't bad. Would recommend!
We didn't try the hotel breakfast.
