Guest Reviews
- Joan (8/5): Romantic suite with great bathroom and kitchen. - Lots of little details made our stay great. Great bathroom, kitchen, cooking facilities, very responsive host, location was perfect. The 30 euro basket contained some items we didn’t recognize and others we don’t eat. We messaged the host to identify what was gratis and what was honor paid. The “automatic bed” was really two twin beds with separate sheets, pushed together. No cuddling your partner! Also, the European washer/dryer combo took 3 hours for wash, then 3 hours for dry. So start early because no laundry allowed in the evenings.
- Ruth (10/5): Perfect in every way. - Perfectly appointed apartment! The hosts have thought of absolutely everything. And they left us very generous check in gifts. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again! (As a bonus, the throw pillows are perfect colours for our house and I was able to buy them from the owner). Nothing.
- Gloria (10/5): Good stay in Bruges - The location is slightly away from the main tourist areas, which makes it quiet and peaceful. We actually enjoyed the walk between the town centre and the accommodation during our two-day stay.
It was also helpful that there are several restaurants near the property recommended by the owners—do follow their suggestions. We had dinner at Onslow and De Verloren Hoek, both of which were good. We enjoyed the Georgian wine (rare find!) at De Verloren Hoek . Reservations are especially important for Onslow, as it can get quite busy. Unfortunately, we did not get to try the oldest café in the area as we had to check out before it opened.
The property is located next to a road, but accessibility is very convenient. We took a taxi from the station (around €15), and it dropped us right next to the house. Getting around is easy, and Uber is readily available—we had no trouble booking a ride back to the station.
The house felt a bit cold initially, but after we messaged Nina, she promptly adjusted the temperature remotely, which we appreciated. I booked this apartment primarily because a washing machine was listed as available. However, in subsequent communication before the trip, I was informed that each use would cost €5, which came as a surprise. In the end, I did not use it, as the machine is located outside the main house and accessed through a separate door, which felt inconvenient.
There was a significant amount of communication sent prior to the trip, covering details such as parking, bicycle rental, taxes, laundry, and the associated costs for each. While I understand that this information may be helpful to some guests, I personally found it rather overwhelming.
The property also offers a breakfast basket at an additional charge. The fridge is well stocked under what they call an “honesty bar,” where guests are expected to pay for what they consume. However, it was not clearly indicated which items, if any, were complimentary. There's some sweets and a small bottle of beer on the table with no price tag, while I see some bottles of wine with price tags. In the mini bar, it says to take home the jams but there's price tags on the cooled drinks. It says, " enjoy and pays what feels right". So I wasn't sure what are the complimentary items (if there are any) or the prices that's fair to pay. To avoid any confusion, I chose not to consume anything and instead purchased my own groceries from Carrefour.
On the night before departure, I received another message reminding me to prepare cash payment for any items used (e.g., washing machine, minibar, bicycle, wine, breakfast). While I understand the need for this, the repeated reminders and numerous pre-trip messages made the experience feel somewhat transactional and less relaxing.
Other than this, its a home or in fact an art gallery of many of Nina's paintings that are for sale (with price tags too).
The space is visually rich, with numerous decorative and ornamental pieces.
- Ian (9/5): Lovely spot - would happily return - Lovely location, really homely and nicely set out
Lovely touches and clearly a well loved property We struggled to work out how to cook for breakfast until first morning - there’s a hidden hot plate
- Sarah (10/5): Beautiful and memorable weekend away. - Beautifully decorated, comfortable and perfect location. Highly recommend
- Henk-Jan (10/5): -
- KHANIM (10/5): Hostes was very helpfull with any question. Location was amazing. Brugge holidays wasnt the same without warm, decorated - Everything
Niks eigenlijk
- G Mark (10/5): A delightful place to start our holiday in Europe. - It had everything we needed for our 4-day winter holiday in Bruges. Loved the personal touches in the apartment, the well equipped kitchen and artistic decor. We particularly enjoyed the electric bed. We had great communication with Nina and Frank. Nil
- Madeleine (9/5): - The apartment was very comfortable, clean and quiet and well furnished with everything needed - a home from home.
- trisha (10/5): Delightful - It was cosy and full of homely touches Nothing
- Madelein (9/5): Very convenients stay - Good location and great facilities including a washing machine and dishwasher. Nice extra touches including sweets and fruit. There is a beautiful running/walking path close by - you can walk/run to minnewaterpark easily. The main bedroom is really small and the beds are single - so more like a twin room. Otherwise perfect - we unpacked in the living room.
- Ruth (10/5): - Sehr gute Lage, center zu Fuß gut erreichbar. Komfortables und sehr gut ausgestattetes Appartement. Z.B.
- Jeanine (9/5): - The host was very communicative and kind throughout our text messages. They provided nice food for us- we chose to pay extra for that. It was very convenient check-in and kitchen. Bed was comfy and the closet was big enough for us to both keep our clothes. It was hot and when you open the windows, people walking by look right inside so it was awkward. I recommend providing a nicer fan. I found an old one in a cupboard that we used. The living room could use more comfortable furniture. My back wasn't happy sitting on the sofa.
- Madonna (10/5): A quaint and elegant stay at a comfortable guestsuite that was close to town. - It was a large space with a separate bedroom and kitchen. The bathroom was supplied with various perfumes which was delightful! The goodies of food that we had included everything we needed for breakfast. Lovely robes and slippers were supplied making it a more luxurious feel for this accommodation. There was also plenty of other supplies throughout and a washing machine. Our host left little scrumptious treats as a gift! Thank you. Nothing.
- Aleksandra (10/5): -
- Gary (10/5): Wanted somewhere quiet and romantic, and this hit the spot perfectly. Highly recommended - Beautiful decor
Excellent location
Romantic
Excellent facilities
- Oleksii (9/5): - Fully equipped apartment including kitchen and bathroom.
Awesome set of teas, fruits and homemade jam and in the fridge :) Poor ventilation in the bedroom, mattress too soft for my taste and bed linen too synthetic :(
- Maria (10/5): - Eine fantastische wohlfühlende Unterkunft. Alles zu Fuss gut erreichbar.
- NISKI (10/5): Fantastic memories of the owners and the apartment - There is a lot written about the property itself. Its high standard, ideal location, furnishings with taste.... All this is true, the photos reflect the property 100%. What's more - if you think you forgot something - don't worry, you will definitely find it on the spot. Nina has already thought about it.
But while the property is important, it's not the most important thing. The most important thing is Nina and Frank's service. Their help in every situation, every time you think it's impossible, they will do everything to make it possible. I've traveled quite a bit and many times memories of a successful stay were obliterated by terrible service.
In renting, it's a matter of trust. You rent not only a comfortable apartment, but also the comfort of feeling safe, understood and satisfied. You can be sure that with Nina and Frank nothing will disappoint your expectations. They understand very well what business is all about, that good business should be strived for, is made up of people, through great service and great relationships
Thank you for everything. If I ever have the opportunity to return, I will definitely choose the same people and the same place again. Beautiful are the city, the apartment, the people.
- Elsa (10/5): This is a fabulous place to stay - it is centrally located yet quiet, very comfortable and clean. - Great location, very comfortable, clean and well appointed. Nothing
- Joanne (10/5): Wonderful! - We loved everything! The guestsuite had so many personal touches that we felt very welcome. Nina was a great host & we enjoyed exploring Bruges & area from our home base. Nothing
- Sonia (10/5): Wonderful accommodation in a quiet location, but still near the town center. - This was perhaps the nicest place we stayed in during our 5 week trip through the Netherlands and Belgium. We had just finished a week of "bike & barge" from Amsterdam to Bruges, and it was wonderful having a quiet, peaceful place to stay away from the tourist chaos in town. And access to a washing machine was an added bonus after a week of biking. The apartment was comfortable and beautifully appointed, with many thoughtful touches, such as homemade jams and other treats. It's about a 10-15 minute walk into the town center, but if you prefer to be in a quieter, less touristy area, the apartment is very close to the canal-side windmills, the Lace Museum and Folk Museum, and several very good restaurants. We highly recommend this accommodation.
- Wendy (10/5): A beautiful place to stay - Really felt at home - lovely extra touches. Nothing
- Berkenbosch (10/5): We enjoyed being away from downtown but easy to walk to all the incredible history and museums. - Beautifully decorated and gezelig (cozy) with all amenities provided. Hosts were so accomodating and helpful and generous. We loved everything
- Gregory (10/5): Fairytale cottage in a storybook village - This was the most beautiful, cozy, thoughtfully curated vacation home we've ever stayed in all of our travels. Nina provided all the creature comforts...bathrobes, slippers, a bathroom vanity full of gorgeous products, a fridge stocked with snacks, chocolates., etc. The electric bed is cozy. It was so convenient to have laundry. I appreciated the full size umbrellas and ponchos (which we didn't need), maps, books and suggestions. We paid a small fee to use her bikes and rode through the countryside past sheep, windmills, flower fields and horses to Damme. This guest suite is gorgeously decorated with modern conveniences. 10/10! Thank you and highly recommend. also I was initially concerned about the location when I booked but LOVED the location. Close to center (10 minute scenic walk) but had more local vibes.
- Nichole (10/5): A fairytale apartment in a fairytale city - Another amazing stay at this gorgeous apartment! We love it here - Nina is a fantastic host and really goes above and beyond to make your stay perfect. The apartment is beautiful with everything you could possibly need in a fantastic location. Until next year… Nothing
- Sheila (10/5): A beautiful, well-equipped and convenient apartment, perfect for a stay in Bruges. - The design and confort of the property is exceptional. Nothing
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional - Thank you once Nina wonderful as always
- Katerina (10/5): Happy New Year - We were lucky to rent this guesthouse for the New Year. We've spent a wonderful time at atmospheric place. The kitchen was fully equipped so it was a pleasure to cook and serve New Year Dinner. Nina and Frank put up the Christmas tree. We felt at home in the house. Thank you for delicious food (we have ordered basket).
The guesthouse is located in town center so we walked a lot and enjoyed a view I would stay one or two days longer, but the house had been fully booked :)))
- Jo (7/5): We had a great time in Bruges. Everything other than the bed was great - Walking distance to the square The bed wasn’t very comfortable, pillows really hard and the duvet really heavy
- Margaret (10/5): Fabulous property in the heart of Bruges old town - What a beautiful property. Very tastefully decorated and cozy atmosphere. Beds very comfortable. This property had all the amenities one could wish for with great kitchen facilities.
Very good location.
Frank and Nina were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to make this a magical stay for us.
I would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Bruges old town and hope to return in the future
. Nothing
- Kathy (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Very conveniently located, rustic but very comfortable. Kitchen equipment could be updated.
- Michal (8/5): We don’t often stay in higher-end accommodations - this was very much worth it. - The house is exquisite, with care and attention paid to every comfort, and with many thoughtful and luxurious touches. The location is outside of the highly-touristed center, in a charming, quiet neighborhood, yet not far from a supermarket and several very good restaurants, and a short walk to the more bustling areas of this tiny, cobblestone city laced with canals. Highly recommended! There was a small problem with the shower not being warm enough at first. Turns out the water’s heat dissipated quickly in the large room; bringing the main shower head lower helped a lot. Nina sent her husband over first thing in the morning to problem-solve, which we appreciated.
- Victoria (7/5): Good - Compact property. Great location. Booked apartment with a washer only to arrive to find out they were charging 5 Euro per wash, really unnecessary when you have paid a daily rate. Parking was quoted at 15 Euro per day but we were charged 18 Euro per day.
Overfilled with bits and bobs/knick-knacks which only served to make the space feel smaller and somewhat claustrophobic.
- Wendy (10/5): Beautiful Guest Suite in Bruges - This quaint guest house is in a peaceful location, a short walk from the action in Bruges. It is beautifully decorated and the owners have thought of everything to make your stay relaxing. The welcome treats we a lovely surprise, and the bicycles available for rent were appreciated. I would definitely recommend this property to others.
- Annette (9/5): Superb -
- Ediger (10/5): Exceptional - The location is in a quiet area, easy to walk to everything. The accommodation has everything you need including laundry for an extra expense but resonable. Nothing
- Liz (10/5): Lux with the lot. - The suite was so well appointed. Every detail was covered, all we needed and more. Perfect location, quiet street, a super comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom . A locally well equipped kitchen. Coming from a hot country I felt the cold a little. Unable to turn up heat just to take chill off the room. I soon found a beautiful hand made rug and snuggled on the couch. No longer an issue. As I said all things covered.
- Graham (9/5): Superb -
- Catherine (10/5): Perfect apartment, perfect host, perfect honeymoon - The accommodation was amazing and had absolutely everything we could possibly need. The location is so quiet but so close to the square, nothing was more than a 15 min walk. Nina was always on hand to help if we needed and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon extra special. There was absolutely nothing not to love about the apartment. Our stay was the best.
- Alison (10/5): A lovely, peaceful space just outside the busy town centre. Beautiful! - Was a lovely oasis in a busy town. Beautiful and comfortable. Nina was an excellent host!
- David (10/5): Beautiful, cozy guest suite - Guest Suite Lady Anna Bruges was perfectly located, within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The homemade welcome basket was appreciated and delicious, noting homemade jams, a variety of fruits, homemade yogurt and granola, to name a few. A beautifully set table, complete with homemade cookies and chocolates, awaited us upon arrival. The spacious bathroom with a double vanity as well as a large shower area was wonderful. The guest suite was perfectly appointed and very cozy. Thank you for the special touches which made the stay extra special. There isn't a whole lot of room for luggage without unpacking, which I didn't want to do for a short stay.
- Mihai (10/5): A host that spoils her guests!! - Everything. Highly recommend it: quiet, clean, roomy, a kitchen with all ustensiles, just book it and see it for yourselves.
- Halloran (10/5): Excellent accommodations - A beautiful property in a great position made for a wonderful stay. Highly recommended. Nothing
- George (10/5): Exceptional - Central location in historic Bruges. Beautiful furnishings. Nothing
- Miriam (10/5): Perfect little apartment in a quaint part of Bruges, within easy walking distance of everything. - The apartment was absolutely beautiful and perfectly positioned in the old city. It was a very easy walk into the center of town, where you could find many restaurants, bars, shops and attractions. Nina our host was so incredibly accommodating and extremely helpful with recommendations. She organized a welcome hamper which included bread, ham, cheeses, jams, eggs, juice, wine, milk and many more delicious homemade items. The little touches in the apartment were lovely, including phone charges, perfumes, cookies and welcome chocolates. Thank you Nina, we will be back!
- Maksym (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (6/5): Liked the area. - Location was good, nice and quiet. Communication to owner was always hard as she seemed to write her email address sometimes with a capital 'N' other times a small 'n'. Still not sure which was the correct one. House was very dark even with all the lights on and found it quite cold especially at night time
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional Stay, like home away from home - The suite was exceptional! Everything one could need was provided and the basket provided by the host made our stay seem like being at home in Brugge.
Communication with the host was great and she was very helpful with any questions we had.
Location was good, it was an easy walk to the town center. I can't think of any issues.
- Neil (10/5): Great stay in a beautiful city - We love staying at Guestsuite Lady Anna, well equipped, comfortable, close enough to the centre of town to be convenient, far enough outside to be private and peaceful. Nina is a lovely host, helpful when needed but discreet. This is not the first time we have stayed and we will be back in future. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
- Kayla (10/5): Wonderful stay! Would definitely return. - It was charming, had all the necessities plus little local extras, and was in a great location for walking.
- Steve (10/5): Outstanding apartment in excellent location, highly recommended. - This apartment is located in the real part of Bruges in a quiet residential area but very close to walk.
The apartment is extremely well appointed and the host is very helpful and provides everything that is needed for making a memorable self catering stay in Bruges. Just a suggestion may be worth letting guests know what will be in your well stocked fridge. We came with everything we needed and did not expect all of the nice touches you had in respect food and drink. This may be helpful to others.
- Susan (10/5): Magical - Every detail- superb Couldn't fault it
- Carter (10/5): Best place to stay in Brugges! - The facilities and decoration of the flat were superb. The location was fantastic for exploring Brugges on foot. Our host was friendly and provided lots of information
- Tina (9/5): Superb -
- Mohammad (10/5): Best place in Bruges - Home made treat
Fully stocked kitchen
Location in quiet area
The interior design
- Magdalena (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful, clean guestsuite with easy access to city centre. The host was attentive even before we got there and available to answer questions. This place has instructions on how to use appliances, etc. which was great to have. We loved our stay here.
- Celia (9/5): Very good location - Great location. Comfortable apartment. Use of bikes added bonus. Parking arrangements were well explained and very secure. Good and prompt communication from owner. Would stay again! Being asked in the instructions to strip the beds felt a bit off. They don't even ask you to do that in hostels these days, so think was a bit unnecessary.
- Rachel (10/5): Bar far the best place to stay in Bruges! - I literally can’t say enough about this place. The location was amazing, the little touches in the place like the little perfumes in the bathroom, the washing machine, the really well equipped kitchen with essentials in the fridge, the great shower and the really comfy bed were added bonusses! Would definitely come back! Bar far one of the best places we have stayed in. Host was more than helpful and let us store our bags for the day after check out - responded very quickly to any queries and gave us lots of helpful recommendations Nothing
- Juul (10/5): Cozy cute cottage - Very nice and helpful host, clean and cosy place in walking distance of all important sites but in a calm and peaceful area of the city. Would very recommend buying the homemade breakfast basket as it was very tasty for not a lot of money and eliminates the hassle of having to get breakfast yourself. Nothing
- Martin (10/5): Excellent and welcoming - This is a lovely home from home stay,we seyyled in immediately.
Nice touches with welcome fruit basket,Mini Bar Fridge (chargeable) and bathroom scents and creams
We could not recommend this accommodation highly enough Everything,it is so charming, peaceful and well appointed
- Keith (10/5): Too short! - Clean, beautifully appointed, fantastic location Nothing
- Becky (10/5): Great place to stay - I loved the location. It was peaceful and quiet. The apartment is very comfortable with everything you need in it.
- Robyn (10/5): Exceptional - The decor was charming, the bed very comfortable & the location was perfect for us, as it was quiet but close to the centre. The underground parking area could have been explained more clearly as it doesn't have a name.
- Dorda (10/5): Stunning place in a beautiful city. - An absolutely unique place. Wonderful, artistic and super comfortable. Awesome. A few minutes walk from the main tourists attractions. Great possibility of parking in the closed, secured garage. And most importantly, HOSPITALITY unheard of even in the best hotels. Nina, the owner, gives you absolutely all the information you before you open the door. You can see and feel that the satisfaction and well-being of guests are the most important. You wont find this in any hotel. Thank you very much for everything. You move the boundaries of hospitality to a whole other level that is unheard of in commercial tourism. Absolutely nothing, everything was exceptional.
- Paula (10/5): Perfect for a holiday and a rest. - Second time we have stayed, a recommendation in itself.
Everything you need for a comfortable stay in a quiet street but very accessible location.
Mini bar, toiletries and a well stocked kitchen for extras m, means we could travel light.
Contact from the owner is there if you need it.
Bruges has so much to offer.
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was gorgeously decorated. Also it was full of all necessary and also not necessary things, like umbrellas, soaps, even perfumes, deodorants, etc. Our expected expectations.
The three little jars of hand made jam to take home were a treat! Also so welcome with two local beers and chocolate! Nothing!
- Arunava (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luba (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Had a fabulous stay in this lovely apartment. Every detail has been thought of by the owners, with lots of lovely touches including fruit, milk, coffee, tea, alchohol, jams, chocolates etc.on arrival. In a great location, able to walk to the main square in 5 minutes, yet very peaceful. Some lovely local bars and restaurants just a couple of minutes walk away.if you want a change from the tourist centre - we preferred this for evening food and drinks. Bed really comfortable, shower excellent. Contact from the owner Nina was excellent before and during our stay. If we return to Bruges we will stay here without doubt. Nothing - everything has been well thought of and provided.
- Daryn (9/5): Superb -
- Rebecca (10/5): Lovely space in a quiet area but close to everything. Highly recommend! - WOW. If this place is available, you are very lucky and should book it as soon as possible. I've used Booking.com to stay in Spain, France, Portugal, and Italy and this was the best one I've stayed in yet! Beautifully appointed (including some of the owner's gorgeous artwork) with EVERYTHING you could possibly think of (umbrellas, first aid kit, bathrobes). We needed to check the size of our bags and even found a ruler! Plus all of the usual things: dish ware, soft towels, wonderfully hot water for showers, etc.
Nina was SO easy to communicate with. We loved this place (and Bruges!) so much that we stayed to stay an extra night.
The Guest Suite is in a quiet, residential neighborhood but an easy walk to everything you'll want to see in Bruges. The oldest pub is just a minute away (and I recommend the meatballs there). The Lace Museum is also a minute away (go see the women making lace in the afternoons from 2-5 on certain days). The Belfry is a 10 min walk (go on Wednesday between 11 and 12 and hear the carillonneur playing the bells). We stayed in January and the temperature in the home was perfect.
We loved our time in Bruges and will be back. If we're super lucky and Nina's place is available, we'd certainly book again. Nina has thought of everything!
- Neil (10/5): Great stay in a beautiful city - Great location, quiet but within easy reach of the centre. Being able to shop for local produce at the Saturday market and then cook at the apartment was wonderful. We liked everything about our stay
- Tony (10/5): What a lovely place with so many personal touches. - Nina has thought of every single detail making this place so comfortable. Loved the free things too, especially the homemade jam. The terrace is tiny and hemmed in so probably best not mentioned. Also 30 minutes was shaved off the arrival and departure times.
- Shaun (10/5): The only place to stay in Bruge, lovely place and hosts. - The property is exceptionally equipped and the host has gone to great lengths to provide “all those little touches” that makes your stay prefect. chocolates on arrival, soaps, creams, coffee, homemade jams, mini bar, etc … We loved it! nothing!!
- Helen (10/5): we will always stay here if available. gorgeous. - everything nothing
- Helen (10/5): We’ll never stay anywhere else, gorgeous. - Everything Nothing
- Nichole (10/5): A fairytale cottage with a wonderful host - This is the second time we’ve stayed at Nina’s property and we can’t recommend this gorgeous little cottage enough. This time we were here to get married and Nina really went above and beyond as a host which made our day even more special. From gifting us champagne and personalized flutes to the heart shaped confetti on the bed. We were blown away by her thoughtfulness and generosity. The cottage itself is beautiful and spotlessly clean with some amazing touches such as perfume and toiletries to use, a well stocked fridge and his n hers robes. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else now and will be back next year. Thank you so much Nina Nothing
- David (10/5): Exceptional - This is the best accommodation I have stayed in during my 2 month holiday in UK, France and Belgium.
The high ratings are well deserved ... good location, very comfortable and the apartment is equipped with just about everything. Can't think of anything I didn't like or needed improvement.
- Kayley (10/5): perfection - we loved everything about the property, every little details was so well thought out. the location was perfect also nothing to complain about at all
- Johanna (10/5): Exceptional - Self contained beautiful apartment and on a quiet street. Great shower. Breakfast things provided with lots of personal touches like jomemade jams. Lovely host. We stayed in Bruges during an exceptional heatwave and there were mosquitoes at night. Netting on the windows would be a good addition if it gets hot like that again. That said, i would stay here again
- Johanna (9/5): Beautiful - A beautiful ground floor apartment in a nice quiet residential area just outside the central parts of Bruges. Free coffee, cakes, fruit etc, very much appreciated. Handy and very safe garage nearby. Very friendly and helpful host. The rooms ar quite small and my husband is quite tall, so he kept banging his head on low hanging lamps and bumping into things :). Not much outside space.
