Guest Reviews
- Vera (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (7/5): Good - Well equipped hostel with lovely garden and comfy beds. Found some staff quite rude and think it is overpriced for offering compared to other towns in area.
- Gerardino (10/5): Top hostel - Pinto Hostel is also a bar that opens the door at weekend nights to the public. Live music is going until midnight or more so it can be loud. Great people, good beer. Love it..
- Karim (8/5): Very good -
- Camargo (9/5): Superb -
- Hollie (6/5): Pleasant - The hostel looked nice and up to date There was only one bathroom to share with everyone, had to wait a few hours to get your turn.
Felt more like a bar and somewhere to sleep after you had finished drinking
Breakfast was average cereal and toast, some days it wasn’t even out on time
- Janet (10/5): Sebastian and his family work hard and have a fabulous place to rest OR party (great evenings of music in their little r - Big, beautiful location that was clean and great value! Big kitchen that is well equipped. Location up a hill with beautiful views and easy walking distance from things you need. Quiet while we were there (off season) so felt someone like we were intruding a bit but really not a big deal.
- Jay (7/5): Good -

- Philipp (9/5): Superb - Nice vibe, breakfast and clean facilities. Rather outside of town and up a hill though.
- Boaster (7/5): Super clean, comfortable single beds, good view - Very clean hostel, great kitchen with good facilities. The breakfast was adequate We are a couple and would have liked a double bed.
We found some staff members did not really like the customers and made the atmosphere as if we had done something wrong.
- Eabha (7/5): Good - nice property with a good kitchen. Room had a nice balcony there wasn’t a great atmosphere there, not many staying there
- Young (8/5): Very good -
- Catriona (9/5): Great stay - Spacious room, clean bathroom and kitchen. Very good breakfast. Nice bright communal spaces. Very good value for money. A shelf or bedside table would have been nice.
- Kumar (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing warm and cozy place. Love it.
- Antonio (3/5): Disappointing and unwelcoming - Property in nice and clean Do you know this kind of places where as soon as you cross the entrance you feel at home? Well this is just complete the opposite.
I choose the hostel because is seems to have a soul from the outlook, nothing further from reality.
I arrived the property at 6.30am after the typically wonderful 12 hours night trip. Having informed of my early arrival (where they confirmed that I could come to drop my luggage) as soon as I dropped my luggage, I was invited to completely leave the property per policy, not in the leaving room or the spacious garden, just leave(first time I see this policy in any property worldwide). After explaining that there were 5 degrees temperature outside and all places where closed until 9 I was allowed with a grind face to stay until 8.30 (check in is at 14pm)
No further interaction was to be expected until checkout couple of days later.
At the moment of the checkout the same unfriendliness the other way around: at 10.40 while being in the final relaxation part of a morning yoga session the owner decided to interrupt it (official checkout at 10.30), to not very friendly stating that I should had already left 10 minutes ago, I acknowledge, and with all the luggage packed took a shower, final checkout time 11.
I Asked if staying for an extra hour in a table until my bus was possible, request denied, this time with a quite unfriendly statement that the property is a business, they have a 9$ overstay policy that I should have already been charged and a “imagine if all 20 guest would request the same”, the funny point being that the hostel was empty at the time and all beds in the dormitory where ready and available 🤨. I Left for good.
Tried to give constructive feedback to the owners/managers on place as I’m not a believer of destructive written feedback but got a very direct I don’t want to hear what you have to say.
Sad part being that the owners seem to have been a very nice couple at another time, really hope they can make it back.
