- Miguel Angel (5/5): - Que me pidieron 200 euro de garantía con la tarjeta de crédito y que lo devolverían luego de 14 días, cosa que no está a la vista cuando uno hace la reserva , por lo que hay que prestar atención a las condiciones ocultas que no están a la vista.
El personal del check in una actitud muy desagradable acostumbrados a sorprender a los clientes, te hacen firmar un contrato leonino.

Tutto automatico nessuna chiave da portare dietro. Bagno spazioso e pulito Check in lontano dalla struttura, 200 euro di cauzione, muri di carta pesta a mezzanotte delle donne che soggiornavano accanto alla nostra stanza sono state molto scortesi parlando ad altissima voce.
- Rossana (1/5): Orribile, esperienza terribile - Pessimo. Fortemente sconsigliato. La stanza era sporca con le coperte macchiate. Un odore terribile proveniente dal bagno e soprattutto la finestra era bloccata quindi impossibile da aprire.
Nel corridoio un olezzo terribile. Ma la cosa peggiore é stato un verme sulle coperte. Abominevole.
Il check in dopo le 21 é stato a pagamento (40 euro),ovviamente dopo aver fatto la prenotazione. In più per conservare al check out una valigia piccola e uno zaino 16 euro per 4 ore: un furto.

Tra l'altro la reception in cui fare il check-in è lontana dall'appartamente, creando non pochi disagi (noi abbiamo perso più di un'ora per andare alla reception, fare il check-in e tornare all'appartamento). Ho avvisato che saremmo arrivati alle 22:00 e ci è stato richiesto un supplemento di €40, cosa che può anche starci. Tuttavia, al momento del pagamento ci è stata chiesta anche una cauzione di ben €200,00, con rimborso non chiaro e senza tempi certi, come se fosse un hotel a 5 stelle (quando non lo è affatto). Tutto questo non era stato comunicato chiaramente in fase di prenotazione: ci è stato solo detto che “era scritto nelle politiche di Booking”.
Alla fine abbiamo dovuto rinunciare e prendere un altro hotel.

- Rowlison (5/5): Don't. - The room itself was large, comfortable and clean. This is Not a Hotel. This is a room in an old residential block. Don't believe the pics of water and deck chairs as advertised.
The keys had to be collected at another location 2kms away.
The staff have little English ( yes, I know I was in Italy), and little patience. My data roaming stopped so I could not book in with their QR code, which annoyed them no end.
They demand a €200 bond which will be returned in 15 - 30 days!
My room had a faulty toilet maserator which would turn every 20 - 30 seconds making a huge noise.
When I complained to Booking.com, they passed on my grievance to the "Hotel" owner. Nothing was done. No compensation or apology.
I am waiting for my €200 bond to be returned....

- Pavel (4/5): The unreturned €400 deposit and lack of WIFI are unacceptable, although the property was clean. - Location and rooms were okay, close to the city center, the property was cleaned when we entered and we also left it clean and in the same condition when we left the apartment after 3 nights spent there. We reported an issue with our WIFI on the second day of our stay and although there was an answer from their official Whats App channel, no one came or followed up on us, so we didn't have WIFI for the remainder of the stay (2 out of 3 days in total). That is totally unprofessional!
The bigger issue is that they are still owing me 400 euros which I paid for the security deposit on the 17th of October 2024 and although it's been more than 30 working days from that date and we left the property thoroughly cleaned and in the same shape as we arrived, no money has been returned to my account. Totally unacceptable and it looks like they are trying to scam our money!

- Becky (5/5): Check-in Process makes an otherwise Adequate Room not Worth it. - The room had high ceilings and unique fabric covered walls, the small balcony was a pleasant addition. The hairdryer worked and blew hot air, which is not always a given, light switches by the bed were convenient.
Going through two locked gates and two locked doors to get to our room allowed us to feel very secured. The check-out process was a breeze (all we had to do was leave) this was exceptionally convenient as we had a 4am departure.
The check-IN process however was not quite as convenient....... Checking in with the ClaPa group was a headache and a half, the stress of the check in process makes this otherwise adequate room not worth the trouble in my opinion.
To make the process of check in clear, (because I do not believe it is clearly stated enough on booking com), upon arrival to Naples one must go to the check in office, which is a separate and possibly quite far from property you booked (in our case about 25 minutes by foot), and there you must wait as bruskly tempered staff instruct you how to check in online. Only then may you trudge back to your booked room and set down your bags.
Ignorantly, my party and I went first to the address of the booking only to find nothing. Calling the number listed on booking.com connected us to an agent that couldn't speak or understand English. After more than 30 minutes of standing on a dark side street with our bags (feeling extremely vulnerable in the rough and dirty metropolitan environment) an agent responded curtly to us via booking's chat telling us the address of the check in office. Next was the aforementioned walk which led us through both overcrowded loud avenues and desolate and frightening alleys. After check -in we walked the same route and then we were able to get to the room with no additional trouble. The whole process took about 90 minutes for us.
We weren't the only ones lost and confused, a group of elderly travelers with large wheeled suitcases were also at the check-in office upset and exhausted and seems to have been as ignorant to the check-in process as we were. It makes me angry to imagine those poor old folks lugging those bags for who knows how far to and from and to their hotel through the gritty streets because of the lack of communication from ClaPa.
As for the room itself: it had a subtle but noticeable chemical smell which turned my stomach. Likewise the tap and shower water also carried a vague chemical odor.
- Fidan (2/5): Mixed Experience - Clean Hotel but Poor Policies and Facilities - The hotel was very clean, and the room had a fridge, which was a nice touch. The location was excellent, being very close to the railway station. I was required to pay a deposit of €200 per night, and I’ve been told the refund will take 15 to 30 days. This is unacceptable, and I sincerely hope I will get my money back without further complications. Moreover, there was no kettle in the room, which I believe should be a basic amenity.
There was no reception, which made communication inconvenient and frustrating. Additionally, the lift required payment to use, which is highly unusual for a hotel. Thankfully, my room was on the first floor, so I didn’t need to rely on it.
Lastly, the room was very small, which added to the discomfort. While the cleanliness and location were positives, the lack of essential facilities and guest-friendly policies left me dissatisfied. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless these issues are addressed.

In back of palazzo, so very peaceful. All amenities were provided. Great shower!

Note: on line forms are suspect 🤔aka English translation is suspicious and made me hesitant to complete form on line i.e. sex-male or female was written as "bad" (male in Italian) or female-doh!
ClaPa needs to review and update forms (in English, at least) to command correctness and confidence! Thank you.
Lastly, elevator going up cost 10 euro. Didn't have any change...

- Sarah (2/5): Not worth it. Avoid. - The location was good, close to the station and the metro so travelling round Naples itself was easy. It was also close to day trip pick up points. The shower was appalling, like standing under a low pressure tap. I had to contact reception about excessive noise one night and they ignored me. Worst of all, I had to open a dispute with my bank to get back the security deposit I paid, as it was not refunded after 14 business days despite the very passive aggressive, capitalised in places, email they sent me to say it would be.
- Ivan (1/5): everything is bad - there is a kitchen but no glasses, plates, knives and forks! these guys charge 40 euros for one night's stay, but to make a reservation you have to go to their website where you are required to pay another 200 euros of mandatory deposit, which is not mentioned on booking, and if you do not pay, you will not get into the accommodation facility, and the most interesting thing is that they promise to return the money in 30 days, after 30 days no one returned anything to me and I had to demand my money through booking, so I'm waiting and hoping that they will return it

Thief !!! - They are thief careful when you give them deposit the hold it for thing that you didn’t do, the day i came to my room the toilet was malfunctioning, the next day a plumber came and told me that the electrical engineer behind the toilet wasn’t working well and he fixed it, and now after i checkout it stop functioning they say that it is my fault and they will hold my deposit, i use it 2-3 time because it always getting stuck ! They hold your money fir thing you don’t do, they are not answering phone not even whatsapp message, the guy in the reception don’t even know how to speak english, on the beginning of the journey in my checkin i booked 2 room for 2 people and they make me paid 4 people’s city taxes !! They are just Thief. Don’t trust them and do not advise you this place. Last day a couple came on the middle of the night and was screaming and hitting the doors at the building they were not suppose to be in the door of the building before checking in how they enter without code and checkin so there is also security Problem Don’t go to Clapa GROUP Rooms you will live a nightmare!!!

- James (2/5): Good accommodation, bad customer experience - If you rate it on accommodation alone it’s 10/10, the room was in a good location, clean and comfortable.
They do respond quickly via WhatsApp when I had to contact them The reason I’m giving such a low score is because of the deposit.
I read the small print so I did expect to pay €200 on arrival, however on my deposit I had to pay a EUR -> GBP transaction fee also.
I checked out on the 15th December 2023 and finally received it on 28th January 2024, which I had to remind them about, I believe if I didn’t ask then I probably wouldn’t have received my money back.
From a customer service perspective, it’s a shame because the accommodation itself was perfect, but the deposit system is crazy, the room is like any normal hotel room, why do they need to take a deposit? The deposit cost more than my whole stay.
I hope the low score helps to realise that this system is flawed and if they removed the deposit scheme they would have a much higher score on their properties by their guests.

Checking in in a different location was new to us, but the welcome was warm and friendly and the lady behind the desk was really helpful (even letting us check in early as we hadn’t been able to fill the forms in online) - great service. The location was bustling and noisy - the immediate environment was quite dirty and there are a lot of street sellers which can make you feel quite vulnerable (that’s not the property’s fault and the service we received was excellent)

- Ales. (3/5): Disappointing Service and Stay - Location was convenient not far from the Station They charge 35 euros for early check in and 4 euros per luggage to deposit which is unbelievable.
Rooms are not located where the check in building is and they can be over 15 or 30 minutes far or even more. The exact distance from the check in point should be clearly specified on the Booking website.
There was no hot water in the room and we were unable to take a proper shower also the bathroom had very old water marks and scale. No WiFi working in the room.
When we went to pick up our luggages from the check in point, the Staff working in the evening shift was very confrontational with poor customer service,
They also try to bribe customers by advertising with a poster in the room that if you leave a positive review, they refund you the luggage storage costs. Good reviews should only be left if proper customer service and a good accommodation experience are provided which has not been the case for Royal Art H Duomo by ClaPa Group. Management and owners have some serious work to do in order to improve the service they offer.

-Having arrived at the address indicated in the booking.com application with luggage, you need to take a taxi and go to a completely different place to get the keys, then you need to take a taxi again and return to your room which ultimately increases the cost of the room by 100%
Having still time before leaving the room, the staff enters the room without knocking 10 minutes before 10 am and kicks you out. (an elderly man with glasses took away the keys, leaving us without electricity)

- Mikalai (5/5): Good location,room and service quite mediocre. - Good location close to the central station To check in you have to go to another location (approximately 15 mins from the apartment) , apartment is quite small and sound insulation is quite bad (you can expect hearing people opening their doors, taking shower ). We got a small portion of soap and shampoo which is essential for one time of usage (we urged to supply it with the cleaning but it was not done). We have not received cleaning service (though we were promised that there is cleaning service provided) .
In summary, good location but only recommended for one night stay .

We called for help and the woman that picked up was rude and offended that we called for help. The room was "okay" and the view we got was just trash cans and my spouse got woken up at 2am to the trash truck coming to pick up the trash.

- Matilda (7/5): Good - Clean and nice location. Everything is walking distance and parking is outside. The staff at the pick up center were extremely rude to me and my boyfriend. I would not recommend anyone to book this hotel only because of this experience where we had to go to a different place to pick up the keys in a whole other part of the city. Without any information provided about them needing everyone’s passports, the reservation number and many other things, the five people who worked there was totally busy talking and joking with each other instead of helping out with the check in. I was the only person there, and they really couldn’t help themselves with their rude behavior, like yelling I need a credit card when she literally had my credit card and not debit in her hand but was too busy talking to her colleagues so she missed that it was a credit card.I’m sure there are many other hotels where you don’t need to go trough the hassle of meeting these rude people.

- Ant (4/5): the location was good to public transport, it seemed safe and secure the room. only my iPad was left and no one found it - the bed was comfy. we both slept. it was noisy. flies were in the bathroom. the shower leaked all over the floor. the air conditioning didn’t work all the time. left my iPad in the room but phoned reception and couldn’t find it. the language barrier was a problem with speaking to them on WhatsApp.
