Guest Reviews
- Tariq (4/5): Disappointing -
- Daveit (8/5): Very good -
- Tharon (1/5): Bad -
- Ishani (1/5): Fake fake fake wrong addresses send me refund you guys need to be more responsible I will attached address see that is - I didn’t see any property bcz it’s fake totally fake address and everything you should need to send me refund Totally fake please send me refund
- Santosh (1/5): An absolute disgusting property - None To be honest, this is a professional cheat and seems like a scam. Kindly request Booking.com to look into this and if possible ban this property from being listed so no one else falls prey to this.
Room was a total mess and was absolutely stinking with rubbish all over the bed, floor and disgusting bathroom with water dripping. For a moment I felt I'll throw up and could not stand even for a minute. I tried to call the property owner few times but didn't answer. Please refer to the photos attached. I immediately had to book the nearest Travelodge and stayed there!! I really hope to get the refund.
- Emil (1/5): Not satisfied - The location was very easy. The house wasn’t clean and the toilet wasn’t in a useable condition.
- Joshua (1/5): Not worth the hassle, anxiety and inconvenience of its low cost. - TLDR: this listing is a scam.
We reserved the room with a private bathroom for one night. On booking, you are given an entry code to your room. When we arrived, the door to the room we were staying in was already open and there were people in the room. It seems that the host either double booked the property, or they have no control over who can walk in and have access to the rooms. The other people in the room asked us if we would be happy to move rooms to one they weren't using (but would let us into as they knew the code) but seeing that someone had access to our room meant we were not comfortable to stay when we knew they could use the code to get into the room where we would either be sleeping or where our possessions would be when we were out for the night.
We proceed to call the host and request a refund as we could not stay at the property to which they agreed as we had nowhere safe to sleep for the night. Since then, they have blocked our number and refuse to answer our calls - I have been in touch with Booking.com customer service who have told me to wait for them receive a reply to their outreach to the host, however, they are also not replying to them. I am in the process of getting a refund. The overall lack of communication from the host is enough to deter present guests and hopefully keep future guests away - do not ever stay here.
- Ewa (8/5): Excellent -
- Antonio (3/5): Poor - Location is good The cleaning
- Jonathan (4/5): Cheap and cheerful. - Clean room. Shower door partly broken. Toilet seat top missing.
- Ayeni (10/5): A good value for money and home away from home. - The house was clean and good.
- Zi (1/5): Got bed bugs - There were bed bugs
Constant smell of marijuana from the host
Couldn’t contact the host
Bed bugs have now followed us home
Bathroom was never cleaned ( shaved hair on ground and in sink for 3 days )
No duty of care
- Rosamaria (2/5): Would not recommend for anyone. - The location was good. It took multiple messages and phone calls to get the host to send us the passcodes to the doors. We didn't have towels in our rooms and got no answers from the host when we contacted them regarding that. The common areas were filthy, there wasn't any hand soap or towels and we had to buy our own, and we didn't even feel comfortable using the kitchen at all. The kettle in our room was also too dirty to be used. The people sleeping in other rooms in the flat left the front door completely open multiple times during our visit, which made us feel quite uncomfortable while staying there. I would not recommend anyone staying here. Maybe only if you are extremely tight on budget and staying for only one night.
- Georgia (7/5): A short stay near Mile End - Room was clean, warm, bed comfortable. Host responded fairly okay. Close to the tube station. It was a pleasant stay nonetheless. It could be better to have a working TV as there was one there, and have curtains in the window for cosiness, as the window was facing the wall of another house; no toilet paper in the toilets and in one toilet the hand soap was missing. The shower doors need attention as they do not close straightforward.
- Ahmed (8/5): Very good -
- Ch (10/5): Excellent with very clean rooms and great location - The cleanliness Nothing
- Suma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ahmed (1/5): Bad -
- Bogojević (2/5): Overall we are disappointed with the value we got for the money we paid. - The location of the accommodation was okay thanks to good metro connection with the rest of the city. First of all the property bathrooms were very dirty, both of them every day. Host didn’t clean it, despite the fact that we told him that it should be cleaned and that it isn’t okay. Host ignored us both on messages and in person.
Our room was small which wasn’t such a problem but tidiness was poor. Towels were dirty, there wasn’t any room service to clean the room, change towels or empty trash. We almost didn’t have light in our room, so we had to use the lamp. TV was broken. They said on the booking that we will have a list of facilities but we didn’t have a hair-drier, which was a problem.
- Murray (4/5): Disappointing -
- Shahin (1/5): Bad -
- Maciej (1/5): Bad - Absolutely nothing. It was horrendous and I am getting a refund for that. The location is completely different than the one in the description.
- Callum (1/5): Awful and disappointing. - Easy code access. Not far from Mile End Station. Everything. Terrible bathroom, shower half broken, either scalding hot or freezing and had fallen off the wall. Hardly any toilet roll. Rooms stuffy. Everything was dirty. Lights not working properly. Rock hard bed. Zero reply from property when sending a message. Noisy neighbours. Unsafe area at night. Wi-Fi didn’t work.
- Kay (1/5): Awful, dirty, would not recommend in a million years - slept in student flats cleaner than our room. - Good location Got in touch to ask if I could check in early and was told it wouldn't be a problem. Then when I got there the room hadn't been cleaned after the last people. Dirty bed sheets, used towels, full bin, no soap in bathroom, random water bottles laying about. Bin literally had a rotting banana peel in it. Contacted the given number to ask for clean sheets and towels as there's no reception and received no response despite the fact that it's on Whatsapp so I know they saw the message. Honestly the worst place I've ever stayed in London. We had to turn the bedsheets inside out just to go to sleep without being freaked out because there were horrible marks on them from the people before us and I don't even want to go into the state the duvet was in without the cover when we took it off to turn inside out. Can't believe I paid money for this.
- Polly (1/5): Never again. - Location good but that's it. Absolutely terrible. We understood for the price that this would be very basic but did not expect everything to be so dirty, and to get no sleep due to antisocial behaviour in the house. The bathroom had not been cleaned for some time, it was disgusting, and there was no toilet roll. There are people living in the other rooms in the house and all night they were shouting in the corridors, banging on the walls, etc. We got no sleep until 6.30 in the morning.
- Absar (7/5): Good -
- Syed (8/5): Very good -
- Syed (7/5): Nice and cheap - Close to city centre The shower didn’t work
- Ghuas (1/5): Terrible communication from host. Great location and good room though so cant complain. - Good location Terrible response time from team and the room was dirty upon arrival. Cleaner came 1 hour after check in at 5pm.
- Nahedul (5/5): Passable - I like location but servise is not good.. It's OK for money.
- Gloria (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ruth (2/5): Avoid, avoid, avoid. Dirty, worried about being locked out and just felt generally unsafe. - Property was close to Mile End tube station. Quiet street. No-one to check us in, not given key number for door, left outside and had to ring the "emergency" number. Room number code was texted to us, but not code for front door so couldn't leave as wouldn't be able to get back in, then after ringing emergency number again, another person staying at the house actually came and showed us how to get in and gave us the code, but still locked out at 12:30 at night because door had been locked from the inside. No answer on emergency number, finally the same woman who had showed us how to use the code for the front door, let us in - then locked the door from the inside again! Communal areas were very dirty, both toilets / shower rooms had really dirty sinks, I actually cleaned one before using it. Shower door literally hanging off in middle floor bathroom, toilet seat broken and lid of toilet seat just left in the corner. Kitchen was in an awful state. My husband spoke to a lovely Polish mother and daughter also staying the same time as us, they too commented on the lack of cleaning and how they were unable to use the kitchen area as they had planned. The room we stayed in (Room 8) was clean enough. It had a TV but this had fallen off the wall and was smashed but being stored in the ottoman in the room. Broken furniture, but the real delight was the lack of lights - incredibly dark with hardly any light given by the spot lights, the lamp was on the windowsill, only place it could be plugged in close to the bed and was behind the curtain. "Resident" downstairs was very agitated as he was fed up with the "crack head" in the same house and started banging the bathroom door when I tried to use the shower there as the middle floor shower cubicle was falling apart. He thought the "crackhead" was in the bathroom again and he was fed up of that!
- Petr (1/5): Bad -
- Laura (1/5): Bad - I was unable to reach them
- Paul (8/5): Satisfactory - Helpful staff Slightly overpriced
- Anze (3/5): Poor - Location The bathroom hopper was clogged and could not be opened. Also the shower head was detached from the hose. No hair dryer. We were given wrong Wi fi address at first, had to request another one.
Also very loud people( junkies) in the ground floor that were disturbing most of the night.
- Paul (3/5): Poor - Bedroom was clean, location good Toilet and shower room dirty, not even any toilet paper.
Kitchen not clean..
- Fraser (1/5): Host did not provide me with details on how to access property until 1am - I obviously had to stay e - nothing the host
- Graham (6/5): MILE END - Location great....comfortable bed....liked the no key entrance to place and room Stated hairdryer facility, didn't take my own, there was no dryer....put my case under the bed, pulled it out, covered in muck....fan filthy....place stank of weed. Had to clean the fan, full of dust...few of the ceiling lights were out.
- Talu (7/5): Good -
- Claire (7/5): Good -
- Lavinia (3/5): Poor -
- Irina (1/5): I do not recommend - Too much mess, broken shower, dirty toilet, No light in the room, too bad I can't upload pictures as proof, I do not recommend Too much mess, broken shower, dirty toilet, No light in the room, too bad I can't upload pictures as proof, I do not recommend
- Mohammed (7/5): Good -
- Algita (1/5): Bad - The rental does not look like the pictures at all. Room is very dirty, sheets doesn't look changed after the guests before us, TV is not hanging in its place and also doesnt work, the batteries for the remote looks like somebody chewd on them, the window looks like someone hit it with eggs and left it to dry. Shared bathroom is super super dirty, shower tap is not working properly,so its either boiling hot or freezing cold water. Landlord gave us the wifi and the password but it did not work, there was no connection.lLANDLORD DO NOT RESPOND TO MESSAGES. The other tenants in other rooms smoke weed all day and play music all night, all apartament complex smells like weed. The curtain hanger is almost falling. And THE DOORLOCK for the room doesnt lock. The room wall by the bin looks like somedy threw up and cleaned it in a hurry.
DO NOT RENT.
- Svyrydonova (3/5): Even for that price that we had it should be much better. It’s just a luck that we had to stay there only for one night. - Warm, location, price Dirty sink faucet and shower. HALF the lights did not work so it was almost darkness. Wi fi did not worked, I could turn on it but it had no actual connection (and no one answered me on booking when I messaged about it). Also it was noise and very clear to hear people from other rooms. TV did not work (maybe because of wi fi). Dirty marks from cosmetic on a towel.
- Carla (8/5): Very good - Spotlessly clean with modern decor. Easy to access. Good communication from staff. Heated towel rail in bathroom was a nice touch. Spotlights in room were very dim. Luckily had a bedside lamp that made all the difference.
TV not tuned in and couldn't be tuned so no 'normal' TV available, but had a Netflix option and had to use own login.
No hairdryer in room as stated.
There was a kettle but no tea and coffee.
Mattress not comfy. It was one of the memory foam ones that I don't but that's just my personal preference. :-)
- Bukola (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sadmanur (1/5): Very bad experience waste of money - nothing
- Manley (1/5): Bad - The bed was ok It was the worst one night stay in a room which was not cheep.my room was not clean on my arrival had to sit out side 30 min waiting for it to be cleaned .the toilet blocked human poo up to the top and it has rooms that are rented to council for homeless people so it a hostal for housing benefit people with a ladie in room one was shouting abuse a threatening me because I was a white British female it was disgusting and I didn't sleep all night as I was very scared for my safety I could wait to get out of there I should of been told you have residents who live in the room payed by the council it was not worth £70 I paid and should be returned my money bk .The worst experience I have ever had.
- András (6/5): Pleasant - location
- Kwong (2/5): Very poor - Proximity to public transport WiFi WITHOUT Internet!
No heating and hot water for 1 day!
Towel, bed sheet and pillow case hadn't been changed over my 10-day stay, NOT EVEN AFTER MTY REQUEST!
- Karim (1/5): Unreliable owner to get hold off even though if was after 10pm ( needed code ) , dirty and poor facilities , overpriced - Unfortunately there was not much to like The room had not been cleaned
I was only warned about this when I was at the front door after numerous calls to the contact
The shower door was broken
- Natalia (5/5): Ok for an overnight stay - The bed was comfy and overall good value for money. I also found free parking just opposite the property. I was first given access details to a room that was occupied so upon arrival I had to call to sort it out and was given access to an unoccupied room. The guests in the first room were watching TV at maximum volume and talking so loudly that it was impossible to sleep until around midnight. The next morning the noises started at 7 am.
- Marco (2/5): Horrible - The location. It’s just behind the Mile End Metro Station and from the bus stop to Stansted Airport. The apartment is comfortable and modern, but the neighbors are horrible. Very noisy people live there, who play music at night. They also shout and argue. You can barely sleep. The bathrooms and kitchen are very dirty, often with human waste. There is no cleaning of the room or changing of towels during the stay. Smells of drugs throughout the apartment. There are very bad looking people living there. I don't recommend it at all, and for me it was a lesson: I prefer to pay more and stay with other conditions.
- Ricky (1/5): The people living there are very ignorant and extremely noisy, there’s a dangerous guy living on the basement who threat - The bed is comfy! Easy access to the property! Toilets are very dirty!
- Igwegbe (5/5): Passable - Was close to my exam centre Noise from lodgemates
Very Dirty toilet
- Justin (1/5): Bad -
- Simeon (4/5): Disappointing - The room was good, bed was comfy and location was what was needed. The room wasn't cleaned when I arrived even after confirming check in time. This was rectified within the hour. The communal areas and corridors smelt of smoke and the bathrooms could have been cleaner.
- Armando (1/5): Loud environment - Mhost and owner not reliable
- Ilenia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kuba_warsaw (7/5): Whatever I wrote of negative I recommend and I will be back - I like the location and style of builing. Eric street is near to Mile End station where buses from Stansted have its stop! there is aslo tube station.
the rooms on the floor and much better than on the ground floor. I was already in that apparment before. wifi was not working. after contatcing the owner problem was not solved at all
the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors, thoses who snore at night for instant :)
- Priyank (2/5): NO WIFI, poorly responsive staff - Location was good. Room was clean. Bathroom was not dirty but not squeaky clean.
Bed was decent size.
Kitchen was decent with functioning oven, microwave and little cutlery but no chairs to sit and eat and no dishwashing liquid. **** NO WIFI ****, even though wifi is advertised, the wifi box itself was not connected. (See pics)
The staff/owner was not not responsive at all. Sent him sms, messages thorugh booking.com and even calls, but no response at all. Probably he knew people will pester him about the wifi :)
TV wall mount was broken but it hardly mattered as the TV had no signals. Great way to kill someone of boredom, no wifi , no TV.
Bed mattress was not of good quality.
One of shower doors is broken from bottom.
- Nicola (6/5): Beds were very comfortable but tv needs to get fixed we asked for a remote re control in room 4 - The fact that the downstairs toilet shower needed a good clean
- Neeranuch (3/5): Pls double check direction detail - Google map did not show the exactly direction which making i use much time to find property.
- Neeranuch (3/5): Poor - Not clean, Not check-in confirmation
- Youssef (1/5): Bad -
- Mohamad (9/5): Superb -
- Mohamad (10/5): Exceptional - Great Stakk
- Mohamad (9/5): Superb -
- Mohamad (9/5): Superb -
- William (7/5): Adequate but needs reflection from the owner. - The location En suite was really small, no mirror for shaving purposes, no iron although there was an ironing board, shortage of hangers in the wardrobe. Last minute cancellation on the day I was travelling, but eventually rectified by the landlord after messages to and fro between us.
- Joseph (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mohamad (9/5): Good experience - Near the university
- Mohamad (9/5): Superb -
- Anke (1/5): Don't book here! - The location The walls seemed made out of paper, we could hear everything from everyone.
The place was very noisy on top of that, so goodbye sleep.
No private bathroom as listed.
No clean room.
No soap, shampoo, tea,...
DO NOT RECCOMEND
- Uline (4/5): Hit and miss! - The location perfect The fire alarm went off at 1:00am! There wasn’t anyone to contact and the fire service had to be called. Definitely ruined my stay
- Jordan (4/5): Disappointing - Lots of hair down the toilet when we got there. Not very nice to be welcomed too very loud
- Udayasuriyan (1/5): Bad - Nothing am asking that hotel to provide my bills for past 1 month . No one is even responding.
- Anne (6/5): Pleasant - Great location, near the tube station Hygien facilities, shared bathroom
- Sarah (1/5): Bad - The owner cancelled on us at 10.30pm the night before we was due to arrive saying that we was a double booking after taking my money 5 days prior..That left us having to try and find alternative accommodation on the train down. AVOID!
- Masud (4/5): Disappointing -
- Tihana (1/5): Bad - DO NOT BOOK THIS ACCOMMODATION DO NOT BOOK THIS ACCOMMODATION. The worst accommodation I've ever been to. The room was dirty, the floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed or swept for at least a month, there was a dirty wet towel on the floor in the toilet and a lump of hair in the toilet. The door to the balcony cannot be locked and the exit is connected to another courtyard so that someone can enter the room, we definitely did not feel safe. The bed is terrible, the boards under the mattress fall out as soon as you sit or lie down, in the middle of the night while you sleep and you have to put them back so you don't collapse with the mattress. Some rooms are probably inhabited by people who are terribly inconsiderate and loud. Every day they come to the house after 10 pm banging on the door, leave and enter the room about 10 times without paying attention that other people in the house may be sleeping. Of the 14 nights we were in the accommodation, we slept normally maybe two or three nights. Every day between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m., and some days until 4 a.m., they cook, play loud music that can be heard throughout the house, sing and argue, talk on the cell phone through the speaker that it is impossible to sleep. After a few days of staying on the first floor, a pipe burst, which caused water to leak through the ceiling for two days, and because of this, the alarm was on for two days and two nights, so that it was impossible to sleep or stay in the house because of the noise. Weed was smoked in the whole house every day and all the smell entered our room it was unbearable. Last night at 2 a.m. we were woken up by a terribly loud fire alarm that probably went off because some guys in room 1 were smoking, so we had to go out into the street in the middle of the night not knowing what was going on, and the guys who activated the alarm ran out of the house and ran away.
- Katalin (7/5): Good -
- Andre£ (10/5): Exceptional - Good Good
- Vikrant (8/5): Overall great value for money for solo traveler. Great location as well. - Clean , looks like just renovated
Easy to self checkin I could hear everything happening in the house as well as around the house on the roads. People walking upstairs, door opening and closing, next door guy talking on phone. Thought it would be quieter. Only issue was the noise.
- Sushma (7/5): Overall good for the price paid - Location was good. Rooms were decent. Would have liked more if the bathroom was separate.
- Maisha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (8/5): No frills accommodation, but great value and location - Great location a few minutes walk from Mile End station. Really convenient check in. Nothing fancy but would definitely return as it is really good value, comfortable and has everything you need if you're just passing through. Ideal for a night or two. Access to an extra plug socket or extension would have been handy. And although there was a kettle and mugs, no tea bags or coffee which I thought wouldn't have been much trouble to provide.
- Jason (8/5): Very good value for money - Location, price, quality of facilities Size of room
- Dawsonc (8/5): Very good -
- Khalid (1/5): Bad -
- Gemma (4/5): Disappointing - Drawers had mess in from previous guest.
There was kettle and mugs, but no tbags/sugar/milk
No mirror.
Tv was too high
Shared bathroom, shower door was broke and couldnt get no hot water
- Vickers (6/5): Pleasant - Good size room. Ensuite is tiny and no hot water
- Kuba_warsaw (7/5): nice place for short visit in London - easy access to tube
great accomodation (door code)
nice localisation and near KFC resto (open during night - important when you come back from party :)) bed in very bad condition and balcony door doesn't close.
small toilet but it's London :)
- Bethany (1/5): Owner accepts booking but doesn't provide instructions after it's too late, and then refuses refund. - Didn't enter the property. Owner did not respond to numerous calls despite accepting my booking. As above. The area felt unsafe..waited for instructions on how to enter for a long time. Called the owner multiple times, and received no response. Asked for a refund which was refused. Thus, I was left outside as a woman waiting to get in.
- Blaise (1/5): Bad - Nothing This is a scam. I was never given a room number. There was no one to great me when I arrived, except for another couple in the same situation who had been waiting there for two hours.
I ended up having to sort out alternative accommodation. I expect a full refund.
- Lamprini (1/5): Horrible disgusting unprofessional - THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! If I could put a zero I would!!! We lost our money!! I DONT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE TO BOOK! So they didn’t give us a room number. So no room for us, and we didn’t have anywhere else to go. What we did? WE SLEPT IN THE FLOOR OUTSIDE! And when we called multiple times nobody answered. - Fernanda (1/5): Scam !!!! Dont book this place !!! Dangerous !!!! - Nothing , I didnt get to stay in the place.
I arrived and there was no one to open the door for me.
I was never given a code for the door or a key.
I rang the property number but nobody answered.
That was 10 pm and I was left on the street with my lugagge .
I stayed there for about 30 min trying to find a way to come in , but never happened. And I never got my money back. The fact that There is no one there to open the door for you . So you might stay on the street like I did , and tge area didnt look safe either .
Also they dont give you your money back.
I think its a scam , stay away from this place .
