Guest Reviews
- Nigel (10/5): Perfect in every way - The place was amazing, beautiful and the location was fantastic.
- Tenille (9/5): Wonderful - Modern facilities. While being close to a creek and forest. Very relaxing It was hard to see the car park and footpath in dark.
- Kathleen (10/5): Kaalba is a romantic, peaceful sanctuary in nature - We loved the location and the beautiful rock pool at the back of the property
- Jean (10/5): Relaxation at its best - Serenity of surroundings. Nothing
- Chris (10/5): Perfect spot for a romantic restful holiday for our 25th anniversary - We loved the serenity and being able to totally relax and unwind for the first time in years. The bed was comfortable, lovely pillows and linen and a great selection of blankets to suit everyone’s comfort. Nice shower and heated towel rail. There was a lovely well equipped kitchen and full sized fridge. The bottle of wine can added bonus. It was great to see basics like oil, paper towels, glad wrap, tea, coffee, etc plus nice bathroom products. The Webber was spotless and perfect for heating up gourmet pies we picked up in Mapleton. It was a great base to visit the surrounding towns and amazing cafes and restaurants to pick from. I got most of my Xmas shopping done in the area and at Eumundi markets, a 45 minute drive away. I look forward to coming back. The hosts were lovely and so was Vari the dog. Waking to the sound of birds and happy hour or a book and coffee on the balcony is my kind of holiday. I am recovering from a leg operation but plan to do the walks next visit. Nothing to not like

- Grace (9/5): Superb - Cottage is in amongst a forest of trees, beautiful and serene location. Property is landscaped so you can enjoy walks to the creek at end of property. Cottage is spacious and has everything you need. Owner is welcoming and helpful. Cottage is at the end of a long driveway, which is a little difficult to negotiate at night could have larger signage, got there in the end :)

Our host was helpful and informative. All good, no negatives.

- Wendy (9/5): Peaceful, natural surroundings, private location. - Great views all around, lots of birds, also platypus present. Nice to have good quality extras like olive oil and ground coffee available, and citrus fruit to pick off the trees. Everything was clean and good quality, it was just the towels that were rather stiff and rough. A bit of tumble drying could fix that.
- Deb (10/5): A peaceful sanctuary. -
- Anonymous (10/5): This stay was much needed. Thank you. - The property is beautiful and very close to the creek, incredibly well-equipped and private. Steven was lovely and very helpful in his efforts to ensure I enjoyed my stay and the two dogs were very happy and friendly too. While the location would be ideal by car, I had to catch the bus and the road down to Kaalba is very steep to climb up.
- Joanna (10/5): Hard to leave! - Kaalba has been created with sensitivity to its exquisite environment, and you can't help but feel the beauty of nature all around you. - Rosemary (10/5): Paradise found - The surroundings and the view from the balcony were sublime. The short stroll down to the creek and waterhole to watch for the ever elusive platypus was well worth the scenery regardless of the outcome, you could just sit for hours listening to nothing much but nature.
Steven, Toonie and the beautiful, friendly and oh so lovable dogs were just as good as the accommodation. We would 100% recommend to everyone who would listen and even those that don't want to. Book this place you won't regret it. Nothing..... we had a slight issue with smoke alarm but rectified straight away.

- Sticks56 (10/5): Top quality, peaceful and relaxing! - Steven is a great host and it is easy to tell that he and his partner take pride in providing a great stay for their guests. He gave us some good advice on local walks and places to eat. We felt so happy to see a platypus feeding one evening at a local water hole he directed us to. Sitting on the deck with a glass of wine as the light disappeared in the evenings was very relaxing.
