• Galloway (7/5): - Good location, authentic homestay. On arrival the host tried to up-sell us a more expensive room. No air conditioning unit unless you pay $6 per night. We were overcharged for laundry service as hosts claimed our washing was far heavier than it actually was. Shared bathroom with 3 other rooms so often have to queue. Car got covered in bird poop every night as parking is under a tree.

William organized everything for us, eg guided tour to Manuel Antonio as well as shuttle service further on to Montezuma. And Olga provided us with delicious breakfast. The shower doesn’t get warm and all though we didn’t mind (because the fans in the rooms were very good) you have to pay 6 USD per night if you want to use the airconditioner in the rooms.
• Katja (8/5): - Herzlicher Gastgeber! Die Unterkunft ist nur 5min fußläufig vom Busbahnhof entfernt. Perfekt für eine frühe Abreise, so wie wir sie hatten. Gerne hätten wir noch ein bisschen mehr Zeit hier verbracht, wir waren 1 Nacht hier und haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt.

• Léna (10/5): Super séjour, je recommande mille fois - Avec mon conjoint, nous y avons séjourné 3 nuits et avons adoré ce logement ainsi que notre hôte William ! Très souriant et très accueillant il nous a fait sentir comme à la maison. Cuisine très bien équipée pour s’y préparer de bons petits plats, clim au top dans la chambre pour pallier à la chaleur et douche avec bon débit ! Tout était parfait, il y a également de quoi garer votre voiture en sécurité ! Un service de laundry a 4 dollars le kg disponible sur place, vous donnez vos affaires le matin et les récupérées propres, sèches et pliées le soir même, le luxe ! Merci mille fois William ! Rien.

I didn't realize that AC was going to be extra because it was not clear in the online information but we worked it out and he promised to make the online info more clear for future guests.

• Gianluca (6/5): Abbastanza caro per i servizi offerti - La posizione, il posto auto coperto e al chiuso, la dimensione dell'appartamento ed il bagno che probabilmente è stato ristrutturato di recente. Il prezzo elevato rispetto a quanto offerto, il fatto che l'unica finestra esistente dava sul garage, e quindi l'appartamento prendeva pochissima luce naturale, il pavimento della camera da letto, e della cucina, da cambiare perchè scheggiato, la cucina con le stoviglie abbastanza sporche.

• Anonymous (7/5): Nice hosts and good value - The location was close to parks (Rainmaker, Manuel Antonio) and the restaurants and grocery store in town were within walking distance Nothing in particular was a problem. I had never stayed in a property that was inside the family home, so I had to overcome my discomfort with that but the hosts were very nice and it was fine.

Great location! - Great location, very close to the bus station (both Tracopa and the regular Quepos-Manuel Antonio bus, which is actually at the same place), walking distance like 5mins; very close to the riverside as well; many restaurants nearby; the owners (William and his wife) are very friendly as well; there is a supermarket nearby. Nothing really. The price is cheap but the room is pretty basic as well, but this is not a con, just balanced for the price and value.

• Taras (10/5): G - We stayed in a suite with a shared kitchen and common area. There was no one else, so it felt like we had lots of space! The common area looks spacious enough to accommodate guests even if all suites are occupied. It was great to have gated private parking. The shower and bathroom were clean. William was a great host. He told us lots of good tips about the area. The shower doesn't have hot water but it didn't bother us at all. I don't need a hot shower when it's 24/7 hot outside.

• Yulia (5/5): Could get better place for the price - Close to the main bus station, easy to reach Manuel Antonio, welcoming host who can help organising tours and answer all the questions. The property comes with a kitchen so you can cook your meals. Could not use a terrace due to major renovation works run by the host, no really a place to sit outside. The house is old and not clean, dirty shower and on one of my nights there were cockroaches in the toilet and in the room. Outside noise every night around midnight, maybe bins collection or something falling. AC is optional for an extra $6.

Great room (we booked a private room) and this came with a kitchen and a comfortable double bed, as well as a decently sized bathroom. Really comfortable stay in Quepos, it took around an hour to reach Manuel Antonio No issues with the property

• Krystyn (10/5): A pleasant Spring Break stay in Quepos for a mother and teenage daughter - great location - This is a rented bedroom in a house shared with two other guest rooms. The host has separate quarters. We do not normally book shared accommodations but everything went well and you cannot beat the value. The bed was small but comfortable. The room is small but we had no problems making it work. William was a great host and really does a great job to make residents feel at home. We initially had cold showers but after talking to William, learned that the shower gets colder the more you turn the knob which was a little counterintuitive but we no longer had chilly showers. We were initially a little concerned about the area due to all the bars on the windows and doors, which was very different from La Fortuna. However, the area is very walkable and we felt safe for a mother and teenage daughter even at night. We did not stay out late after dinner. There's a bakery and grocery store around the corner and we used both of them regularly. Be sure to go down to the levee in the evening to watch the sunsets, they are amazing! We would stay here again if we came back to the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area. We added air conditioning for $6 a day that was money well spent because it was very hot in March. We would not have been able to sleep without it. Parking was a little tricky because the lot was being worked on while we were there. He finished that project so it should no longer be an issue. We used our rental car daily and it was very nice having it locked inside the gate at night. Also, we were not able to get the door to open on the gate, so we just had to unlock the gate and slide it open. My daughter was not crazy about the shared bathroom but it was clean and we only had one short conflict with showering. Having a hand towel in the bathroom would be helpful after washing our hands.

• Dennis (8/5): Very good - Good value for money! Lovely owners, who are happy to help out. They offer a delicious breakfast for 6 USD. For lunch/dinner there are many restaurants within walking distance. Room gets hot, but you can get air-con for an additional 5 USD per night. Bathroom okay, but often gives out a weird smell, post-showering. Would still definitely recommend to anyone passing by. It's a great base from where to explore Manuel Antonio.

• Soraia (7/5): Good - The apartment was very spacious. The host was very friendly and nice. The location was close to the centre of Quepos and walkable to the marina area too. Not the host fault, but at night the neighbours were very loud and it made it difficult to have a proper rest.

• Antonia (8/5): Very good - The breakfast was amazing. Good place to stay when visiting Manuel Antonio or spending lots of time outside. We did not know that there wasn't a window in our room which made us feel a bit claustrophobic. And other guests were being loud outside of our room.
• Yusuke (9/5): Affordable price, friendly and kind owner - Very friendly and kind owner. He always helps guests and provides useful information about Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park and. There are nice diners and restaurants nearby, in addition, a supermarket, while surrounding area was very quiet and guests can stay peacefully. Very close to the beach and you can enjoy beautiful sunset, if weather permits. Several facilities needs replacement/renovation. The shower facility did not work well and the water was not warm enough.
• Stefanie (7/5): it was good value - the kitchen was well equipped and the owners were friendly and helpful. It’s close to the bus stop in Quepos, from where you can go to the national park. The room was clean. the mattress was a little uncomfortable and the bathroom had a strong ‘chemical’ smell after cleaning, it did burn when inhaling, that doesn’t seem very healthy.

• Mateusz (2/5): AVOID by all means, look somewhere else - - Warm water - AC - Extremely dirty kitchen (food leftovers from previous visitors) - Dirt stains in the fridge (from spilled and dried milk) - FLIES AND ANTS inside the fridge and in the kitchen - Traces of mold on the walls TLDR: Avoid. Cancel your stay and look somewhere else. This place (in fact an adapted garage) should cease to exist. It is disrespect to offer such a rathole and charge more than $100 for it.

However, I personally prefer the rooms inside the host’s house, the rooms on the opposite side of the street are kind of dark(not much light)
