Anna (10/5): - Everything! That rare case when every detail was considered by the host. It's just an incredibly beautiful place and incredibly comfortable, too. The view is amazing, the bathroom very clean and comfy, the room is beautiful and very spacious, the terrace big and features a very well-equiped kitchen. The breakfast was outstanding! There is nothing I can complain about.

Giacomo (1/5): A place to avoid for many reasons - The view from the balcony A place to avoid for many reasons. The location is very risky to get by a car and even more daungerous to get by a motorbike because of a very very very steep narrow private road that ends with a sharp turn on the top. Once there, you are buried in your room as there are no common spaces: you can have dinner and breakfast only on your balcony, toghther with flying insects of all sorts. Zero hangers in the guardrobe, so it is completely useless. No tables on the sides of the bed. On one side you have a wall at 10 cm, so you cannot get out/in at all. The undisclosed breakfast price turned to be an astronomical (in absolute terms for Turkey and in relative terms for what you get - and not get: no juice of any sort, no coffee except a final little Turkish coffee, no fruit except a not so tasty melon, no pastries, one little drop of honey, three little drops of marmalade, ....) 12 € per person. Also dinner was too unreasonably expensive for what you get with the fix menus offered: more than a la carte sea-food dinners in elegant restaurants on the seaside of Izmir, Marmaris, Ouldeniz or Gazipasa. The main vegetarian course was a very poor plate of one vegetable without any taste. Even if you are in the middle of nowhere, you are close enough to a mosque to have your ears penetrated by laudspeakers

Delicious breakfast and dinner, and complimentary fruit. Pretty perfect! Would be great to have more pots etc for cooking

Justin (7/5): Nice, but overpriced. - This apartment was comfortable (nice bed and shower) and it had a great view over the valley. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner on the balcony overlooking the view. The host was very outgoing. While a physically nice place with kind host, we found it was not worth the price and extra up-charges for food, drinks, and use of credit. Over the last month we have stayed at 26 other places, so we are familiar with the price point in this area. The unit overcharged for breakfast (12 Euro per person) and dinner (22 Euro for a grilled fish and 15 Euro for a vegetarian meal -- a bowl of green beans!). The meals came with a small salad, basic bread, and 3 bites of baklava. We were also charged extra for beer, juice, and soda. We asked in advance if they accepted credit card and they said yes but did not mention the extra fee for credit (which was the only place we stayed in Turkiye to do so). We were surprised by their adding a nearly 6% fee for use of credit (4 Euro fee on 72 Euro charge) PLUS charged us either in Euro (which costs me to convert) OR charged me a bank conversion fee to Turkish Lira. Hotels should accept the Booking.com or international exchange rate and not nickel and dime the customer after already charging such high prices. Next time we would just hike to the next town to stay instead and skip this place. If you do stay here, you can buy beer and soda much cheaper (less than half price) at the nearby Lykia Market and get less expensive food at another restaurant nearby.
Nick (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable room with an amazing view. Tasty food. And outstanding service! We had left a coat at a previous hotel, and Yusuf helped us get it delivered via bus the next day. We can't thank him enough! The property is up a hill, so the off-street parking is a bit of a challenge. But Yusuf played banksman very well!

Febe (10/5): Beautiful area and room!!! - This room had the most beautiful view of the bay, Low traffic a few restaurants near by walking distance. Nice trail by the bay to hike. Our host was so awesome!! The driveway to get to the hotel was so steep. But that seems to be the geography for the area.

He was in contact before we arrived to make sure we could find our way and also to see if we wanted to have dinner and breakfast. We had a superb dinner cooked by Yusuf and his wife with produce from their own garden and from the local area. Breakfast was also generous and delicious. The apartments are accessed via a very steep driveway that may be difficult for the less mobile although Yusuf will drive you up from the street!

Brianna (10/5): Most beautiful place to stay in Türkiye - The best place we stayed during our few weeks in Türkiye. The views were breathtaking and Yusuf the owner was so welcoming and kind. His family cooked us an amazing fish dinner which they brought to our balcony. Everything in the room was perfect and cosy. We then went down for a swim at a nearby beach and had the whole place to ourselves. Cannot recommend this place enough! Nothing!

Laurel (10/5): Our stay at Istlada Taş Ev- Stone House - has been a highlight of our time on the Turquoise Coast. - Istlada Taş Ev- Stone House - is a beautiful home with 2 expertly crafted and appointed studio apartments. Our host, Yusuf, and his family, welcomed us warmly and treated us as esteemed guests. The bed is comfortable and the sheets soft. Our meals were delicious and prepared with care from fresh ingredients- many from Yusuf’s garden… including hand cured olives, sun dried tomatoes and eggs from his chickens. Yusuf speaks clear English and warmly indulged our attempts to communicate in Turkish. We loved EVERYTHING about Stone House!

He’s also a literature teacher in a high school. Place is immaculate, the view from the balcony is surprisingly way better than the one in promotional photos. Breakfasts and dinners so delicious that we didn’t want to eat out during our stay! If I’m ever in Kekova again, Istlada will be the only place I’d consider.

Lobley (10/5): Spectacular host and views! - We booked last minute and arrived late at night and Yusuf was there to greet us with a smiling face! We booked the smaller of the two rooms but luckily there was a late cancellation so Yusuf was kind enough to upgrade us to the larger room. The views over the balcony are stunning and Yusuf cooked an amazing breakfast made with quality ingredients. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom had a modern cave room feel to it with its stone walls, with a pan of glass looking into the bedroom which made it feel so spacious and open (there is a curtain over the window for privacy too if you wish). Highly recommend this stay for anyone passing the area. not a problem but just be aware there is a really steep hill to get to the apartment
