• Livio (9/5): Strategically positioned between Lake of Como and Lake of Lugano - The hotel is located in Chiasso (Switzerland), strategically positioned between COMO and LUGANO. From Chiasso, you can reach Como by car via the lakefront road, by bus or by train (max. 15 minutes). Lugano is also easily accessible by car or train (15 minutes). The hotel has a garage, the rooms are very clean, the mattresses are comfortable and the managers are extremely kind and helpful. The area is very quiet. Nothing.

• Nathalie (10/5): Excellent welcome from the host, helpful and attentive - Excellent welcome from the host, helpful and attentive. I came for 3 nights, the room was spacious and comfortable enough. Everything was impeccable, correct equipment. The hotel is a few minutes from Chiasso train station, there are restaurants and food stores nearby. Breakfast is served by the host, according to your request, there is also the possibility of making a hot drink or having a cold drink on the ground floor during the night.

• Cuore di Aliante (10/5): Piacevole scoperta in quel di Chiasso - La posizione dell'hotel, la tranquillità, la pulizia ma soprattutto la gentilezza e la disponibilità dello staff: mi hanno offerto sempre qualcosa la mattina per fare colazione nonostante non fosse compreso nulla nel costo della camera. Davvero complimenti! Magari il box doccia avrebbe potuto essere più grande.

Frigo à disposition des clients pour y déposer des aliments ou boissons On nous a aimablement préparé un petit déjeuner à l'emporter pour partir tôt en excursion à 7 min de la gare très pratique. Très bon restaurant à proximité conseillé par Davide et Angelica

• Britta (10/5): Cute hotel with exceptional staff to explore Lugano and Como - This hotel is so cute and old-school in the best way! Just the style of it, the rooms and facilities are not old but updated and very modern. I loved the way it looked from the outside and the rooms are also in that style. The bed was large and comfy and everything was impeccably clean. You receive a welcome beverage from the fridge that you could drink on the big roof terrace after arrival to relax a bit. The breakfast was delicious and filling, with some different croissants and slices of bread, marmalade and a bit of cheese, coffee, juice and yoghurt. The best thing was the staff who were the friendliest receptionists I ever met. They gave so much advice on what to do and where to go, were patient with my Italian but didnt simply switch to English, which I heard they used perfectly with other guests. They also gave me a train ticket to use for free in Switzerland for two days, which was amazing! I went to Como for one night, which is only a 5 min train ride and then to Lugano in the morning of the next day while I left my luggage in the hotel. I preferred Lugano, but this hotel is perfectly located to explore both sides. It was no problem for me but I could imagine the shower being a bit small for people who need more room. Maybe they have rooms with bigger showers, if you need that, I would ask!

• Jenny (10/5): Good hotel, lovely people. - I stopped at this hotel on my way from England to Italy, it was close to the motorway, close to centre of the town and had a garage for my car. Angelica and her partner were really welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. They gave me information about what to see and where I could eat and were just lovely. The room was comfortable, there were areas in the hotel for guests to sit if they wished to. Breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel. Nothing

• PMahdis (8/5): perfectly fine place - We were happy enough and will stay again if in a pinch. During Fashion Week in Milan, the hotels filled up and prices soared. We stayed out here simply to have a place to sleep. Did not give it 5/5 because I think that would imply certain niceties that this place did not have. I could not figure out the heater or if it was just A/C. Need to be there before 6 pm is not necessarily good for everyone. Most spartan of the breakfasts in the past 12 days but it was adequate. It was clean and the fixtures were newer, if not a little IKEA ish.

• Clement (10/5): Excellent ratio price/quality, employees are exceptional - I usually do not take part to business evaluations; however, this time, I feel the urge to testify. I was caught in a very strong rain on the way to the hotel; when I arrived the two people welcomed me warmly, offered me a towel and felt very sorry for me. One of the employees offered to drop me at a restaurant in his car, so I could avoid the rain again. The employees walked the extra-mile and provided an exceptional service. I would definetly come back to this hotel if I have the opportunity again Rooms are "simple" but comfortable

He goes above and beyond to make sure that you have a - Clean and comfortable room, equipped with AC (much needed for hot days), amazing host and great location (5min walk to the train station) The bathroom is pretty small, but it wasn’t a big issue for me

• Xprod (2/5): Not nice experiences here - The rooms were very cold, the bathrooms did not have any heating, breakfast was a cup of coffee and a croissant served to each person. When asked for milk, they poured it in the coffee and took it away again. When checking out, we almost missed the flight because we lost one entrance door key and were not let go until we showed the guy that we were looking for it diligently and in the end we had to pay 100 EUR for his loss.
• saradebiase (10/5): Best hotel in Chiasso - Hotel Garni Centro in my opinion is the best hotel you can find in Chiasso and an excellent option to visit other areas of Switzerland, too. The hotel looks great and is always very clean. The train station is close by and it's the perfect place to start a lot of different routes in the country. The owner is extremely kind and always tries to help you having the best experience. I stay here every time I come to Chiasso and I feel like at home, so I can definitely recommend it to anyone else. Choose it if you want some good quality for a very reasonable price!
• 806alisterm (10/5): Calm & (Dog) Friendly - The manager is charming, generous, extremely helpful and very easy going. The fact that you can bring dogs a long gives the place a soothing atmosphere. Parking is easy eventhough located fairly central in town. My room was with A/C. I'll be back soon!
• D9441KFmaras (10/5): Feels like home... - I was on a business trip in Chiasso and literally I spent one month at the hotel. Matteo, the owner, is very friendly and made everything possible to make my stay as cozy and nice as possible. He gave me suggestions on restaurants, best ways to get to places I wanted to go and was extremely polite and friendly. The hotel room is very clean, there is also a small breakfast which is offered in the morning. Would definitely recommend, excellent hospitality.
• hazhir_j (10/5): Excelent hotel - Cozy and warm, friendly staff, near metro station (500 meters by walkinig), near como border (600 meters by walking), near bus station (50 meters by walking), nuce view to th3 mountaion, fast bearkfast but enough things to eat and enjoy, clean rooms, safe and interesting system for entrance and exit (you should put your room key when you want to go out to recieve key for main door of hotel and use it when you come back), matheo is a good guy who is fond of his job! Just enjoy the cilence of the neighbourhood and drink have a look to the mountaion from front balcony ✌🖒

Very close to the Italian border and Lake Como. Matteo, the host, was very kind, honest and friendly. Argo, his dog, was lovely and friendly. He is trained and had a perfect behavior. My friends and I will definitely return for a new vacation.

It was on Sunday evening I landed there and normally on weekends we don't find anyone on the city roads and the person (Mathew) was available in the hotel for my check-in. Rooms are very clean and very well maintained with AC, laundry, Breakfast, etc.

• curzioconrad (10/5): Where the guest is treated like a friend - The Hotel Garni Centro in Chiasso is a small, fancy hotel in a modern building in the center of the city, bordering Italy, not far from Como. The train station is at about 10/15 minutes walk (You can also take the orange bus number 1, until bus stop Chiasso Rampa from where you walk back approximately 50m and turn right into the first side road, and there you are). The same bus allows to reach the shopping Centers in the outskirts of Chiasso or going back to the train station from where, after a 15 minutes train ride, until Mendrisio San Martino, you will find the Centro Foxtown with his innumerable Factory Stores. Also the cities of Lugano or even Milan are easily reachable. The manager of the Hotel Garni Centro Matteo (Matthew) is very professional and experienced, but more than anything else, extremely friendly. He and his team do whatever possible to make the guest feel confortable and at home. The rooms are not very big, but there is everything you need to spend a fine time in Chiasso. High care is given to cleanliness. There are TV and Wi-Fi and small bathrooms in all the rooms. The breakfast-buffet is quite rich and the service very friendly and familiar. Particular care is also given to ecological issues, the windows and doors well isolated, to suffer as little as possible thermic loss. The towel management, the water policy and the differentiated collection of waste correspond to high environmental standards. The price/quality ratio is excellent and when you leave, if available, a hotel car will bring you to the train station. Whenever I come to Chiasso, I am looking forward to my stay in the Hotel Garni Centro in Chiasso.

The new owner and his staff are so friendly and inviting. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an excellent place to stay. The decor is at the high end of modern design. If you retire a clean and relaxing place to spend the night or more try this Hotel, you will not be disappointed.
• ClovisLores (10/5): Second Time - I´ve recently been at Garni for the second time in the last 6 months. The first time I spent 2 months there, and now only a couple of weeks. It´s impressive how they managed to create a cozy environment and a very personally treatment. I was very happy that I could feel like home again. I strongly recommend it, especially for business trips (just like mine).

Whenever I was at the Hotel Garni Centro I felt like I was part of the family, and not (at all) just a simple guest In fact, the owner, Matteo, and all of his staff, will make every effort to make sure every guest loves his/her stay as much as possible, like I've never seen in any other hotel. Besides the personal touch, in this hotel everything else is carefully overseen, so you will find a modern, clean and very comfortable room, a well served breakfast and a staff always ready to attend to your needs.
