• Kai (10/5): - Our family of six, including grandparents and two young children, had an unforgettable stay at Eden Court during our holiday in Lijiang. The three bedroom private courtyard was the perfect size for us, offering both comfort and privacy. The property was spotless, with excellent heating that kept us warm through the cold winter nights. Towels and toiletries were thoughtfully provided, and the kitchen was well-equipped with cooking utensils, a stove, and an ample supply of drinking water—making it easy to prepare meals when we wanted to. Laundry was available upon request. What truly set Eden Court apart was our wonderful hostess, Hui. She was incredibly hospitable and caring throughout our stay. Hui shared fantastic restaurant recommendations that showcased authentic local flavors away from the usual tourist spots. She also suggested great day trips and was always available whenever we needed assistance. When one of our family members fell ill, Hui went above and beyond to help us find medical care and the necessary medication—a gesture we deeply appreciated. The location of Eden Court could not have been better. Nestled in the heart of Lijiang Old Town, all major attractions were within walking distance. While taxis cannot enter the old town directly, Hui arranged for a trishaw to transport our luggage from the designated drop-off point, sparing us the hassle of navigating cobblestone streets with heavy bags. Eden Court is a gem for families seeking a comfortable, authentic, and worry-free experience in Lijiang. We wholeheartedly recommend it and would love to return someday!
• Guest (9/5): Cosy little villa, centrally located in a charming old town - We took three bedrooms and had the whole place to ourselves. I think even for two bedrooms, the owner may give you the whole place. Very cosy and perfect for a group of six like us. Well designed for comfort and homeliness. The bathrooms are heated (with heated toilet seats) with hot air blowing from the top. We were there in autumn so it was about 10deg C and comfortable. The owner is really lovely and helpful, with good tips on food around the area. The villa is located in the centre of the old town and she arranged for a porter to help us with our luggage as no cars are allowed in the old town. It’s about a 10min walk in. We had elderly folks with us and they walked too, but slowly. It feels great to live in the old town and explore all the streets, like a maze. The place was clean and beautiful. There is one bedroom on the ground floor and two bedrooms on the upper floors, all en suite and heated The kitchen needs some upgrading but given we ate out, we were hardly there. But the kitchen is well set up for cooking, and we used it for cutting fruit.
• May C (10/5): Beautiful and tasteful quality accommodation. Great but quiet location and exceptional host. - The host Sisi was exceptionally warm, welcoming and helpful during our stay. She was there to meet us and also offered to help get some ingredients for cooking while we were there. She also guided us and walked us to a recommended pick up point for our private bus. The property is beautiful and peaceful. Quality bedding and linen, furniture and style. It is close to places to eat and shop yet quiet. We had the whole place to ourselves and were very comfortable. We booked the entire place so that we can used the kitchen. Just a bit more attention to the cleanliness of the kitchen would be perfect.

• Victoria (10/5): Great! - The location is perfect, we felt like we were at home. Beautiful views. Our host, Sisi, was very welcoming and gave us lots of suggestions for our time in Lijiang. She was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. I became sick during our stay and she was very understanding and offering assistance to make sure I was okay. It was nice to have a kitchen during this part of our trip in China, as we ordered too at a restaurant and we were able to warm up our leftovers the next night and have a night in. We really appreciated our stay and would love to come again. NA

She kindly helped to link us up with a tour guide to arrange for a private day tour to 玉龙雪山, and ensured that all the necessities would be taken care of by the tour guide. As the place is hidden in the centre of Lijiang old town, she took time to give us an overview of the Lijiang old town and also shared how we could explore the town. The host also shared restaurants and places of interests that we would enjoy. The host also checked in on us to see how we are doing and helped to arrange for transport to and fro our accommodations to the railway station! My friends and I are really thankful for her hospitality :)
• Jianying (10/5): This amazing property is a special find in Lijiang’s Ancient City! - The host was very friendly and accommodating, and provided helpful information about the area. Property was amazing: private, quiet, clean, spacious, comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces, beautiful views. One thing that could be improved is easier access to the on-site laundry.
• Eng (10/5): Comfortable Stay in the Heart of Old Lijiang - The location is near the centre of old town and yet it is away from crowds and noises. Very nice and neat place. The owner is very caring and took her time to introduce the surroundings. Since the hotel is in the old town and no cars are allowed to enter, she will arrange a tricycle to fetch the luggage.
• Yt (10/5): Prime location within Lijiang ancient city with superhost! - We got a room upgrade for free as there was construction going on beside the premise, and the host was really nice as she provided us with a lot of food and places of interest recommendations. She also checked in on us to make sure we were fine and we had a great time in Lijiang. The premise is located in central Lijiang ancient city, which makes it convenient to get around. There is also a humidifier which is useful for our sensitive noses. Thank you for making our trip comfortable and memorable! -

• Rufei (10/5): Amazing vacation home - I traveled with my entire family to Lijiang. Sisi's place is the perfect accommodation for a family of 7 people – we are able to spend time in the living spaces and enjoy home cooked meals. The living area is so cozy, and the bedrooms are super clean and comfortable! Although there was a bit of water leakage in the guest house when we arrived, Sisi was very responsive and was able to coordinate repair immediately which is amazing. The guest house was as good as new in a matter of couple hours.

• Chanyuan (10/5): Exceptional - it’s quiet and cozy. host is very friendly and helpful. the location is close to the center and the photoshooting place. the room wasn’t warm enough for us in Dec. luckily, host provided extra blanket and e-heater. it got better from the second day.
• Sara (10/5): Exceptional - I booked the smaller house but got upgraded to the larger house, which was very well-amenitised, very clean and comfortable too. The place really does look exact like the photos online. It took me a while to get used to navigating the old city, but once you do, it’s quite easy to locate. Much quieter than other parts of the old city too, peaceful and with great views. However, the best part of this trip was Sisi, who was the most wonderful host I could’ve asked for. Incredibly kind and helpful, and very generous with her time. I’m so glad that I chose to book this place, both the people and the house made it home for my short 3 nights there :)
• Yun (10/5): Exceptional - A 10 star rating is an understatement for the hospitality and warmth we received. The location is beautiful, a stunning terrace with an overview of the old town, lots of plants and pretty flowers. We got a room upgrade for free and the room was spacious, well equipped (best equipped room in fact we had in China). You can tell that a lot of love and attention to detail was put into the design of this accomodation. The location is very central yet quiet at night. The highlight of it all was the lovely, generous and genuine owner. She took time to recommend us great restaurants and vegetarian dishes. Checked in on us regularly to make sure we are having a great time. And when I was sick she even brought food and medicine. It felt like home and being taken care of by family. I have never experienced such a hospitality and am very grateful. I highly, highly recommend this place when you're visiting Yunnan. The owner has travelled all over the world and has lots of interesting stories and insights to share, definitely recommend you to have a chat with her over tea.
• Reka (10/5): Perfect location, exceptional host - It was right in the middle of old town, but far away from the bars and restaurants so quite quiet, right next to a stream so felt like staying in nature to some extent. Had our own private courtyard though didn’t use much as spent most of the time outside wandering. Owner was super nice and gave us tips about restaurants to try (and to avoid as tourist traps).
• Alex (10/5): A really good, peaceful stay that helped us enjoy Lijiang in the high season! - It was a lovely, roomy apartment, comfortable beds and extremely well-located, on a quiet street near the centre of Lijiang Old Town. Great balcony too, with nice views. The owner was brilliant - helpful, friendly and with lots of good advice. So we ate well too. A lovely short stay.
• Ian (10/5): Exceptional - The perfect place for a family trip. The place is as pretty as a classic Jiangnan garden, but it also has all the fancy facilities you need. The location of the hotel is right in the center of the old town. We were able to walk to many of the main attractions, making this room convenient base for exploring the city. We were impressed by the owner. She was welcoming, attentive to our needs, and went out of her way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. • Irina (10/5): Exceptional - The guesthouse is located in the old town of Lijiang. We absolutely fell in love with the amazing view from our room balcony. In the evening it was very cozy to sit on the balcony with a cup of local red tea. The bed and pillows in our room were comfortable. The room and bathroom were very clean. Guesthouse host Sisi is a very nice lady, super friendly and helpful. She suggested a very nice local restaurant and helped us arrange a trip to Dragon Snow Mountain. If you want to get away from the noise of the big city, Lijiang and Eden Court are perfect for that!
