• patricia (9/5): Logement atypique proche du centre de Tournai - Lieu vraiment atypique, proche du centre de Tournai. Parfait pour une nuit et convient pour les cyclistes. Accueil chaleureux de Nico qui communique son enthousiasme et ses conseils. Café et thé compris ainsi qu'une viennoiserie. Prix défiant toute concurrence. Même si certaines petites choses ne sont pas parfaites, il faut faire abstraction vu le prix. On vient ici pour découvrir un lieu atypique dans un cadre historique.

• Anja (9/5): For something different but comfortable! - We like to stay in places that are different and Nico’s chambres surely are. They are in an interesting historic area inside in what used to be archives. Nico did a terrific job rebuilding into a space full of interesting and fun objects. He gave us plenty of information and communication was excellent!

• Claudio (10/5): Great place to stay, different, original, quiet, comfortable - We really loved staying the night. Nico is a great host, made us feel welcomed. He is super friendly, has great tips for where to go in the City Centre that is within a short walking distance, the location is incredibly quiet and felt extremely safe too. The decor is also interesting, quirky, out of the ordinary. Super cozy and comfortable. Hope to stay there again in the future.

Original , insolite ... une touche de surréalisme ...on ne peut mieux dire . le reflet du caractère de la ville et des Tournaisiens. Merci Nico pour ton accueil et ce super petit jeu type escape game.... mais on ne perd jamais un tournaisien dans sa cité.

• Benoit (10/5): Immersion? Vous avez dit Immersion ? C'est ici. - L'accueil et L'ÉNORME empathie de Nico, sa disponibilité sans limite. Les nombreuses petites attentions : café, thé, biscuits, bonbons et.... Autres. Un lieu calme et une ambiance aussi bien extérieure qu'intérieure du gîte. Le prix/ prestations bien-sûr. La proximité du centre ville à 10mn à pied. La location à la carte. Un Bar privé dans la chambre. La chambre bien chauffée et équipée. Wifi au top. Ce n'est pas qu'on n'a pas apprécié. Je m'exprime en ressenti. Il faut prendre conscience que l'on est en demi-cave avec pour ouverture et unique source d'air frais dans un ancien hôpital militaire. Claustrophobes s'abstenir, il faut un temps d'adaptation. Atmosphère pouvant être étouffante pour les plus sensibles. Mais cela fait partie du "thème" Douche dans la chambre mais wc communs pour les pudiques. A propos de douche, attention à la surprise : glacée à l'ouverture puis brûlante. J'ai eu quelques difficultés à comprendre son fonctionnement. Par expérience sur Booking, je suis devenu exigeant....

Et Nico a eu le flair ainsi que la ténacité d'arriver à son objectif. Atypique aussi par la gentillesse naturelle (non marchand de tapis) . • Mario (10/5): Witzige Unterkunft in Altstadt nähe - Super netter Empfang. Sehr gute Lage nahe der Altstadt. Bequemes Bett. Komplett ausgestattetes Zimmer. Witzige Aufmachung. Kommen gerne wieder.

Très bon rapport qualité-prix et proximité avec les commerces. Parking facile et gratuit. La chambre étant au sous-sol, il y avait de l'humidité. En hiver, difficile d'ouvrir le vasistas (air froid) donc légère odeur de moisissure. Petit déj à chercher à l'extérieur.

• Sara (10/5): Gentillesse et excellent rapport qualité prix - Nico est super gentil et accueillant, excellent rapport qualité prix, toilettes partagés mais très propres, possibilité de se faire un thé ou un café. Mini frigo avec des boissons (à payer à part) disponible dans la chambre, lit confortable, bonne connexion wi-fi, couverts, tasses et verres à disposition. Pas adapté à des personnes qui ne souhaitent pas partager les toilettes et qui souhaitent avoir beaucoup de lumière dans la chambre (c'etait pas un problème pour moi). Le lieu est très calme la nuit, mais on peut entendre les bruits de la chambre en face. Je conseille de ramener des boullesquies si vous avez le sommeil un peu léger :)

Je kunt gewoon koffie en thee pakken en allerlei kleine attenties; snoepjes op je bed, een broodje voor ‘s morgens, ouderwetse kauwgum bij het vertrekken. Daarnaast is alles aanwezig, van deo tot laadstekkers Blauwe plek van het bed (tegenaan gestoten)

Vtipné obrázky i vybavení na chodbě Je zde méně prostoru, ale je velmi dobře využitý.

Great medieval cathedral in the city. Could not book in until 5pm. We rode through bad rain and arrived at 2pm, so had to wait for three hours to get in our room. To be fair this was more our fault.

• Jenniep (8/5): Super quirky rooms close to centre of Tournai - Nico was a brilliant host- we arrived early and he let us keep our bikes in his garage until the room was ready. He has two rooms which are semi basement - quirky doesn't even cover it!!! The most unusual room I have ever stayed in- the room has a lot of ' artefacts' in it and as a poor sleeper I was amazed I had a great night's sleep. The two rooms share a toilet- this wasn't a problem for us.

• Greg (9/5): Vive la difference Nico! - Located just a 10-15 mins walk from centre of town in a converted military hospital, it is a lovely and quirky place to stay. Free parking is available very close and Nico is a charming and friendly host. Nothing, as advertised it’s great value for money.

The rooms are quirky and comfortable, and the accommodation is located in a nice neighbourhood just a short walk to the city centre. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Tournai!
• Catherine (6/5): Interesting property, great value, but check it is suitable for your travelling group. - An interesting property that is good value for money and convenient for the town centre or if you are stopping over on the way to somewhere else. The host was nice and obviously proud of his property. Which is very clean and entertaining in its design. The bed is very comfortable. Unfortunately, the sink in the room had an eggy drain smell during our stay, and a strong-smelling electric diffuser was in place. The odour was very strong to the point that I struggled to sleep. The building isn't quite what I had imagined from the description for this room, it is very obvious when you enter that the property is also used for specific types of parties. If you google 'Secret Room Tournai' you will get the drift. Not really an issue for us as an adult couple. The shared toilet was a little uncomfortable due to the close proximity of an unnecessary urinal to the loo and no hand soap.
