• Alejandro (6/5): Good flat. Poor attention from the owner. - The flat is ok. I didn’t receive the passwords before my arrival, it was difficult to get it from the owner, through the messages in booking. The worst thing was that they only sent the invoice after many calls to the customer service, many messages, etc. Very bad communication, you feel alone. If something happens during your stay, pray to god.

• Anastasia (9/5): - During our stay, the room itself looked quite nice, it was fairly quiet, and the check-in process went smoothly without any issues. Unfortunately, we didn’t have any hot water during our stay, so we couldn’t even take a shower. The room was also very cold, and we felt really uncomfortable because of it. Additionally, it was stated (even in private messages) that coffee and tea would be available. However, there were only tea bags and coffee sticks, with no way to actually prepare them — there wasn’t even a basic kettle or the advertised coffee machine. Given how cold the room was, a kettle would have made a big difference, but unfortunately, the only way for us to warm up was by going for walks, as it honestly felt warmer outside than inside the hotel.

We couldn't store our foods or drinks. There was no wardrobe for clothes in the room. Nor a shoe rack. The shower, which had no door, only had hot water for a short time during showering. There were no tissues in the room, and very little toilet paper. There were no glasses, and of course, no utensils like forks and knives.

• Andrei (1/5): Don't say if you sleep over 6AM and/or need an invoice - Location was good in relation to the center but bad because of the noises from outside. Looked clean bed, sheets and towels. The owner did not provide an invoice and eventually blocked my calls. Very noisy outside as the road is paved with stones and very early in the morning everybody was moving around trash bins + the machine collecting it and it was noisy from 6AM. Old furniture, non-working small fridge. No read doar to the shower.

• Erion (1/5): - The only thing worth mentioning about this place is the proximity to the city centre and you could get easily around. Firstly the room that is displayed in the photos do not represent at all the reality. We booked the Blue Moon room for 5 days,only to find dirty carpets,stained towels and a dirty toilet too. Although cleaned somehow the bathroom(force of habit ) we did find ourself without any running hot water to even take a shower. Tried to contact the owner to let him know the situation,unfortunately with a day delay on his answers and saying he is away and will see to send someone to fix the issue,something that never happened. We ended improvising by heating water in the kettle and pouring it into bottles in order to take showers(after taking cold showers for two days and one of us got the cold). It’s such a misfortune to have paid something and not get even the bare minimum of that service. Below I am attaching some photos I took from our very primitive stay. Shame is the only thing one can say about the owner of the place.

J'ai pu obtenir de Wok Rooms une autre chambre (plus chère que ma réservation) mais seulement pour une seule nuit ET Wok Rooms a exigé le paiement de la différence de prix entre les deux chambres alors que l'absence de rideaux lui était entièrement imputable. J'ai donc du chercher en urgence une chambre pour une nuit dans un autre hôtel. J'ai du attendre 4 semaines le remboursement de la deuxième nuit (moins l'écart de prix) de Wok Rooms !!! J'attends toujours la facture !!!

Până la urmă, codul și cheia ne-au fost oferite de femeia de serviciu, nu de proprietar. Ulterior, proprietarul ne-a cerut în mod repetat să eliberăm cazarea, deși sejurul era deja achitat, motivând o eroare de tip dublă rezervare din partea Booking. Situația a creat mult disconfort pe toată durata șederii.

Entrée dans l’immeuble sale avec les poubelles et coin de rue qui craint la nuit. J’ai demandé une facture de multiples fois et elle n’a jamais été fournie.
• Laurence (5/5): Dommage. Bel endroit mais manque de soin dans le service et l'équipement. - La literie est de qualité. La décoration de la chambre est moderne et chaleureuse. La chambre était propre (hormis le problème de draps voir plus loin). La communication avec le propriétaire est lente et impersonnelle. Aucune réaction suite au fait que nous ayons mentionné que les draps, couette, protège matelas et surmatelas étaient mouillés. Nous avons trouvé une solution par nous-même en défaisant le lit, changeant les draps (par chance stock disponible dans une armoire), et faisant sècher sur les radiateurs. L'eau était tiède. Peu agréable en cette saison hivernale. Il n'y a ni rideau, ni store à la fenêtre de la chambre qui donne sur une cour avec un vis-à-vis vers une autre fenêtre. C'est un problème à la fois pour l'intimité mais également pour le réveil matinal.

• Alwi (2/5): Awful experience - The location is central. No staff on site at any time. On arrival, no lights on. Used phone flash to try and find a light switch - no luck (see attached pictures). Thought I walked into a horror movie. The red sculpture in the shadows at the top of the dark staircase was a particularly interesting touch. Room was cleanish (clean linen and clean shower) but no curtain in front of the bedroom window. Shower took ages to warm up. Did not use the coffee machine because the scale build-up was disgusting. Also, sugar cubes provided (not covered) but no spoon to stir the coffee - why??? Walls are paper-thin and you can hear every time someone enters the building or comes up the stairs onto the landing. No warning of the steep staircase so a mission to carry a heavy suitcase up and down if you're a solo traveler who does not work out at a gym. First place I've ever stayed where I felt the need to check under the bed for a potential serial killer.

• Anastasiia (7/5): Got everything you need, location good, needs serious redecoration because in my room it was creepy - I didn’t expect much; it was just a work trip, but the stay was perfectly fine. The location was super convenient: right in the center, close to public transport, cafes, coffee spots, and shops. The room itself was clean, the bed was comfy, and the bathroom was nice. Nothing fancy, but it did the job. There was a life-sized statue lurking in the corridor that genuinely gave me heart palpitations, I thought a man was standing there in the dark. Inside the room (Blue moon), there were rusty metal bedside tables, a strange metal chair with a face on it, and what looked like medieval shoes tossed in the corner. It didn’t feel cozy at all, more like an art installation from someone’s nightmares. If you’re into eerie vibes and surreal interior design, this might be your thing. Personally, I was just scared.

• Glenn (5/5): Went here to take part in the European Running Championships, wouldn't have stayed here otherwise - Easy to find, bathroom, toilet and sink clean! Blinds were broken, so you couldn't make it dark inside. Blinds layed on the floor. Coffee machine broken as well, fridge not that cold (let's say two degrees below room temperature). So do not expect facilities to be great... Nevertheless bathroom more than enough!

• Kristjan (4/5): Disappointing - Great location but too expensive for what you get. Advertise as fully equipped kitchen but you get a coffee machine and a microwave so limited what you can make. Also no trash can and the sink and the shower in the bathroom fills with water very quickly probably clogged pipes that hasn’t been resolved from previous review. Also you can hear every person in the floor through the thin walls. It’s fine to stay for a day or two but not more, wouldn’t stay again.

As for the room, I think I got the worst one (Blue Moon) — it was dark, cold, and small compared to the other rooms I saw in the pictures. I wanted to stir the sugar in my coffee, but there was no teaspoon. Of course, it’s just a small thing, but hopefully something that can be improved.

• Helen (7/5): Good - The apartment was beautiful. Very spacious, airy and comfortable. Good facilities and close to the city centre. With the keypad entry, it felt very secure. The windows opening to the balcony was very nice. It had "A room with a view" feel to it. Extremely good value for money. The shower overflowed because of a blocked plughole.

I asked in advance whether I could get a tax invoice for the stay, but there was no reply. Upon leaving, I requested the invoice which was entirely wrong - and the owner had no tax registration. I am still waiting for the corrected invoice.
• Tmy (9/5): It was a good choice considering the balance between price and quality. - The management was very attentive, the location was central, and the room was very beautiful and spacious. I didn’t like the street it was located on; it didn’t feel safe to me. There was an issue with the hot water, the fridge was definitely not working, and it would have been nice to have a spoon, fork, knife, and plate in the room.

• Daniel (1/5): Dirty, noisy, cheap. - The heat and water works. We booked the white lady room, and it was kinda terrible (CHECK THE PICS). The room isn't very clean (stains in the walls, sheets and towels, and a few spiders). Then, the feeling is that it was unfinished, there was a big hole in the ceiling of the bathroom, the lamp was broken and there were visible cables coming out of the walls (at least they were kind enough to add a hat over it to try to hide them). Also, it is noisy as hell because it is located in a very narrow street where the trucks stop on Saturday at 7:00 am for emptying rubbish containers. But probably the worst thing is the unsafe feeling that it has. It is located in a small narrow dark street, full of homeless people. You enter just with a code and the door of your own room has a weak lock. Don't get me wrong, the room is enough to survive, the heating works, the water too and the bed is comfortable. But for over 100€ per night, you can get way better rooms in Brussels, even at the same neighborhood.

Kitchen table chair was broken so you could not sit at the table. Other than this it was fine for 1-2 night stay. I would not stay any longer than 2 nights.

The room did not have hot water (lukewarm only). Sink plug was broken, as was one chair and the doorlock (Only closing of the door with the key, not by pushing shut). TV did not have a connection to cable or sattelite, so only streaming from laptop would be an option, if the WIFI was consistently present and strong enough, Main reason for not scoring lower was the fact that the price was mid-range (But certainly not budget cheap)

• Pinar (4/5): Disappointing - Price During our stay, we did not feel safe due to the street where the building is located and the inadequacy of the building's protection. Since the toilet does not have a door, it is very difficult unless you are staying alone. We did not like the cleaning of the pillows, quilts, and sheets, there were feathers and hair inside the bed. The sound insulation is very bad, you can hear every sound in the building. While sleeping at night, I heard the sound of dripping water and sounds that I could not understand.
• Adam (1/5): Bed Bugs in the room - We stayed in the Blue Moon room and found bed bugs in the bed on our first night of staying in Wok Rooms. This greatly hampered our experience in the city of Brussels and ruined our holiday. The Owner was somewhat helpful, though did leave us waiting until the afternoon for word on whether we would have a replacement room in which to stay. That new room was nice though very far outside of the city. No compensation was offered by the property owners after this incident. The owners also did not respond to my email in relation to compensation or even to apologise. However, even before this incident, it was clear that the room was dingier than expected. It did not match the images. The Wifi was incredibly slow. The TV did not have any channels. The shower drain was clogged. There was no hand soap in the bathroom. And it is located in a dark alleyway behind a fast-food restaurant which has a lot of loiterers lingering. All around, my stay in Wok Rooms was incredibly unsatisfactory. I would not recommend. Edit - after sending a follow up email after our stay the owner was disrespectful and sent a message with a winky face emoji in it after doing the bare minimum of providing us with a replacement room. Not good enough at all. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place when visiting brussels!

• Svea (1/5): Bad - Lots of bedbug stains on the sheets, no staff to reach out to. I didn’t stay.
• Susmita (2/5): Very poor - The hotel says it has reception and luggage facilities and heater. None of them are present. They just give a room and a private en-suite bathroom. No heater no luggage storage and the staffs are too rude. They did not provide proper instructions to check in also. Moreover I cancelled for one day of my two days booking and the day I reached they claimed to cancel my whole booking. After providing proof that the cancellation was for one day only they sent me some instructions to check in. And to my disappointment the password they shared for the main gate was wrong. They shared another and i could enter the building which was totally dark and spooky. Then they advised to get a green key where no green key was there. The staffs don’t pick the call most of the time. If the person picks up by mistake he is too rude and behaves like doing a favour by letting me stay at a hotel for which I paid for. It was too cold and after multiple requests no answer from staffs as the heater was not working. There is no wastebasket in the room also. The soap dispenser was empty. No proper lighting in the corridor. It goes off after certain time even when I was going downstairs it just went off and then it was totally dark with a red spooky figure standing tall at the end of the staircase. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL if you have other options. The lock and keys were also so tight and giving hiccups every-time. The walls are not soundproof and someone was walking upstairs which was too loud and I had to wake up each time . Very disappointing
• Tilo (5/5): Passable - Large windows. Very large room. Large bed. Large table. Large rain showet. Close to Metro. Close to many nice and fancy restaurants. Close enough to walk to the ciity. Single pane windows. Very noisy in the two early mornings due to a long delivery period right in front of the house. Dirty street due to dust bins of Burger King 15 meters away in the side street of a low to medium shopping street. Neon light next to the apartment. Despite large curtains not a completely dark room at night.

• Mária (4/5): It was okay. - Walking distance from everything you need to see. There is no door between the toilet and the room.
• Erica (7/5): Good - The room was really tiny. The apartment is in a dangerous street in the night when we arrived for people nearby. The entrance of the apartment is very bad and dirty.
