• Valerie (10/5): would go there again - It was perfect. I booked a private room with shared bathroom, which in the end was not available so I the owner upgraded me to a room with private bathroom. She was super helpful and carin it was a fantastic stay, thank you! Room was clean, kitchen good for cooking, lovely breakfast.

No nos gusto que le desayuno que ofrecen por el valor de la estancia, lo sirven demasiado tarde, en otros lugares lo ofrecen a partir de las 7:30 am y aca según lo sirven desde las 8:30 am, mi esposa y yo andamos recorriendo el país y pues salimos a recorrer a otra ciudades como muy tarde a las 8:00am la verdad eso nos gustó. Y en la habitación ni si quiera un tv para uno ver así sea las noticias.

• Juan Pablo (9/5): Lugar recomendado para hospedarte en popayan. - Me gusto La gente, el personal fue muy amable. Llegue muy temprano y me recibieron para dejae mi bolso. La ubicación es por el centro y tiene una muy buena relación ubicación y costo. Llegan muchos turistas extranjeros y fueron amables Quiza el colchón un poquito duro pero se duerme muy bien quizá solo eso.

• Lucas (9/5): Best quality/price ratio in Popayan - Excellent price/quality ratio. Location is perfect, walking distance to the historical center. Breakfast is simple but very good. The person running the place is lovely. Some of the guests were not respecting the rules (at all) and were very noisy, banging on doors at 6am, using the bathroom with shoes so it was all dirty afterwards. The staff could have handled this a bit better in my opinion.

• Marcel Honiana (10/5): Great stay, recommended for budget conscious traveller - Luisa our manager and host was great, very friendly and helpful woman. The private room was very good spacious and comfortable enough I extended my stay. Fridge was excellent condition Good water pressure and hot water. Nice simple breakfast each morning Extremely good value for money Could do with some new fry pans. The area around the hostel can be less attractive at night but the hostel is on the main road providing good security into the evening.
• Etienne (8/5): Perfekt für kurze Aufenthalte in Popayan - Die Unterkunft ist sehr günstig und trotzdem recht zentral. Man ist schnell in der Altstadt oder beim Terminal. Luisa war sehr nett und hilfsbereit und hat uns auch ein Taxi gerufen.
• Nikolas (10/5): - This hostel is great! Very central and the woman who runs it is extremely friendly. The breakfast is included and will be a nice meal! The whole hostel is being cleaned multiple times a day and the showers have hot water and good water pressure. Definitely recommended!

The amenities, kitchen, washing machine, and bathrooms are clean. Super hot showers with great pressure! The bedroom was a good size. The location is great, and the area is quite quiet at night. The bed was a little hard for me, but this is a personal thing.

• Ellie (7/5): Good value and very kind friendly owner with a cute toddler - Friendly helpful staff and a nice vibe. Good value for money. The owner very kindly got up at 4am to call me a taxi to the bus station so I could travel to Tierradentro (which is DEFINITELY worth the 5hr bus ride to visit, it was the highlight of my 2 months in Colombia!!). None of the hostels in Popayán seem particularly social or fancy, but this at least has a shared kitchen and smoking terrace where people can hang and chat, so think this is one of the best. It's a little outside of the centre so feels slightly more edgy walking back alone at night. I didn't love Popayán in general or feel particularly safe there. But it rained quite a bit and my Spanish isn't great so that definitely contributed!

• Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - All areas of the hostal were clean and comfortable. It was a great place to meet other tourists. The price is very affordable. The host is lovely. The shower is the best in Colombia, hot water and great water pressure!! Easy, short walk to the main plaza and other tourist areas. I will stay here again when I go back to Popayán. It's a small place so it can be a bit noisy but ear plugs easily resolves this.

• Nerea (10/5): Best place in Popayán - We (backpacker couple) spent two nights in the Hostal. The place is very clean, comfortable and quiet. The girl that works there is very helpful (she allowed us to go one night to Puracé and come back even if we booked two nights in a row). The breakfast included in the price is also very good (banana, avocado, arepa, eggs and coffee). Nothing!
• Mathieu (8/5): Very good - A few minutes walking from the city centre, about 25 minutes from the bus station, the hostel offers standard amenities that works as intended. The kitchen was nice enough, the bathroom as well, although there’s no hot water. I appreciated the lady that was there during our stay, as she was obviously working very hard to make our stay comfortable and worked hard all day to keep the place as clean as possible. We booked a private room, and it was quite alright. Overall, a decent stay for the price we paid. Although it is a budget accommodation, I feel a few things could be improve with a trip to the ‘ferreteria’ and a few dollars. One of the bathroom couldn’t lock. In our private room (n4) the inside lock for the window was present, but of no use, as a very slight push for the outside would open it. In fairness, lockers were offered close to the reception to lock our valuable. It’s a bit of a bland place, but it works for a night of sleep.
• Robin (7/5): Good price for value - Location is good and for the price you can never ever complain. Good little breakfast. The place was very noisy and sharing two little bathrooms amongst all the guests is not really nice. Especially if they are in front of your room.
• Michael (8/5): Very good - Own room quiet and bathroom right next to it outside. Owner explains well the town and places. In historical centre and just 7 or 8 min walk to main plaza. With breakfast great value for money. Owner wasn't there for check out and was difficult to reach when I was leaving.

• Alexander (7/5): Good - Friendly staff. Breakfast included which was arepa, avocado, egg and papaya. Walkable to town but we were told to not go left out the front door at night due to safety. Very basic hotel, room was just a bed. No towels provided. Very cheap though so can't really complain. Rooms are all around a common area so can hear other guests who were up past 12am. WiFi didn't work the whole time we were there unfortunately.

They have a drinking water filter, that's awesome so you don't have to buy plastic bottles. And great price
