• Heiko (9/5): Perfekt, mit kleinen Einschränkungen. - Tolle Lage und Innenhof perfekt. Frühstück ohne Butter, für Deutsche schwer vorstellbar. Treppen in die Schlafzimmer jeweils sehr (!) steil, für Ü60 evtl. nicht machbar.Franz. Doppelbett, ggf. zu beengt.

• Matthijs (6/5): Goede locatie, maar liet paar puntjes te wensen over. - De locatie is erg goed. De huisjes zijn leuk qua sfeer. Dit was de tweede keer dat we hier verbleven. In een van de huisjes viel de stroom uit en was lekkage. Het was onmogelijk iemand te bereiken op de beschikbare telefoonnummers. Her en der lag best wat stof, o.a. nachtkastje. Het koffiemachine (Nespresso) had z'n beste tijd gehad en werkte niet goed meer.
• Joke (10/5): - Het is een gezellig, knus appartement. De ontvangst was hartelijk en geen vraag was teveel. Het ontbijt was voortreffelijk. Kortom, we komen terug! Niets!
• Saskia (6/5): - De locatie was top. En het bad was heerlijk. Wel tijd voor een update van de kamer voor meer comfort. Is nu best duur voor wat je krijgt. Charme van de kamer aan de kerk vond ik erg leuk. Oude handdoeken en beddengoed. Wasbak in de badkamer en toilet zagen er niet fris uit net zoals de toiletbril. Dit is echt aan vervanging toe. Dit maakt het minder fijn om hier te verblijven. Voor het geld wat je er voor betaald mag het wel een keer geupdate worden. Lekker nieuw beddengoed en extra kussens en nieuwe handdoeken zouden al een hoop goed maken en een kleine moeite denk ik.

• van der Hum (8/5): Heerlijk, sfeervol huisje midden in het centrum. - We hebben eenmaal een ontbijt gehad, dit was erg uitgebreid, vers en lekker. Fijn om een eigen koffieapparaat met voldoende cups te hebben. Het huisje is erg smaakvol en karakteristiek gebouwd en voldoet aan de gemakken van nu. 's nachts was het erg stil ondanks dat het weekend is en we in het centrum verblijven. Op loopafstand van de Meir was het een heerlijke uitvalsbasis voor een weekendje genieten in Antwerpen. Als we dan toch iets moeten opnoemen 2 tips: - handzeep in de badkamer en een haak/hanger voor je natte handdoek.

• Damian (4/5): Bastante mejorable y decepcionado - Ubiacion, limpieza La forma del check-in injusta, al llegar tenía que llamar yo por tlf a un número local, en inglés, para dar códigos de entrada, etc. no entiendo como no lo dejan por escrito, me costó 4’ de llamada para entender todas las indicaciones. Hay menaje en el salón pero no hay cocina. De que sirve tener platos, vasos, cubiertos .. si no hay fregadero, horno, microondas ni nada, tenia que beber agua en el grifo del baño. Hay cafetera de cápsulas pero los enchufes no van, no pude utilizarlo, hay un mini frigorífico de cristal y ya lleno con 4 cervezas de pago. Escaleras inclinadas y estrechas para subir a la habitación, sólo apto para atletas, hay que trepar. WC metido en un armario y ducha metida en otro armario, no hay pastilla de jabón de manos, de gel te dan 5ml y champú 5ml, para 3 días que estuve no me repusieron. Toallas me dejaron 2 juegos èl primer día, cuando supieron que solo era 1 persona me quitaron un toalla, de modo que ya solo 1 toalla mojada el resto de días.

• A (7/5): Prima. - Locatie Er stond geen fles champagne op bed zoals het op de foto werd gepresenteerd. dit haalde mij over om de kamer te boeken. Wel was er een modale fles wijn waar €28,- voor werd aangerekend. Maak geen reclame voor iets wat er niet is, en zorg voor een kleine versnapering. Dat zijn de kosten niet lijkt me.

• Duncan (8/5): Een zeer net en verzorgd verblijf. - De locatie was uitmuntend en het appartement had een mooie karakteristieke uitstraling. Verder was het personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We konden in overleg een uurtje eerder inchecken omdat wij met het ov kwamen. Bij het uitchecken kun je behalve een hele geringe tijd je bagage achterlaten om nog lekker de stad in te gaan zonder tas/koffer. Dit is in tegenstelling tot een hotel een beetje minder. Maar dat hadden we van te voren natuurlijk ook kunnen weten of dit eerder kunnen communiceren. Als dit het enige minpuntje was, kun je wel stellen dat de rest van het verblijf uitstekend was.

• Martina (8/5): Schön - Lage und historischer Charme. Es wäre gut, wenn bei Booking angegeben würde, welches Parkhaus man anfahren sollte. Das steht zwar im Zimmer im Hefter, aber nicht online. Wir haben prompt das erwischt, aus dem man Sonntags wegen Markt erst um 15 Uhr wieder rauskommt.

• Anneke (8/5): Centrale ligging, historisch karakter - Zeer centrale ligging, ideaal om de stad te verkennen. • Mooi historisch pand met veel charme. • Prima bed en badkamer. • Vriendelijke telefonische hulp bij het inchecken. • De trap bleek, ondanks eerdere recensies, goed te doen (zelfs voor iemand die niet heel goed ter been is). Pas na zeven keer bellen iemand te pakken voor de sleutelcode. • Toilet zonder deur is wel even wennen. • Slaapkamer minder geschikt voor lange mensen.

• Michael (3/5): Not my first choice - Very little. Waiting over an hour for the key code. Why not email or text the code? I had issues reaching them on the phone. Fortunately someone staying in an adjacent room had an alternate phone number. Stairs are extremely steep with very shallow steps and a shaky hand rail. Bathroom is downstairs while the bedroom is on 2nd floor. Watch your head if you're taller than 5' 8". Bed is located underneath a sloped roof. Beams are in the way.

• Peter (9/5): Cozy little appartment right next to the center of town - Our unit was inside a private courtyard which is excellent for relaxing after a long day walking the city. The place was very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Note: the staircase is quite steep, which could be a problem for some.
• Nina (8/5): Heerlijk verblijf gehad! - Enorm vriendelijke ontvangst! Heerlijk ontbijt, attente host en toen wij onze parkeergarage niet konden vinden door alle afgesloten straten, werden wij enorm goed geholpen door de eigenaresse om daar alsnog te kunnen komen. De kamer is voorzien van alles wat nodig is, en alles is enorm schoon. Chapeau!

The staff is very friendly and even let us in before the check-in time. Nice independent entrance. The apartment is beautiful. The neighbourhood seems to be close to student area so it was quite noisy on the street in the evening.

• Gavin (9/5): A wonderful change of scenery from bland hotels. Careful of the stairs, tho! - These are individual properties with their own front door. No reception area so you can come and go as you please. Very private courtyard in the part where I stayed. Ahhhh the stairs! a 17th Century conversion means the stairs are a real liability especially if you wear boots. I recommend going down halfway, turning round and then descending backwards down the rest! The only running water is upstairs.

• Merel (9/5): Superb - The oddness and unique character of the stay, the smart design solutions, the aesthetics, the seclusion while being central. I woke up at night from banging sounds, which apparently was the rain that dripped down all the way from the church’s roof onto the flat surface of the apartments roof. Not recognizing the sound I was a bit alarmed, but in hindsight it’s also very charming.

• Victor (4/5): Disappointing - We really liked the location and were excited to try the guesthouse of a brand that is known for its high quality food. We liked the art on the walls and the house is historically significant, the interior downstairs has been renovated with a degree of respect to its past. Bed was clean and comfortable. At this pricepoint, with this branding, we expected more. There was no communication prior to our arrival, and it felt disorienting to have no one welcome us and stand at a closed front door with our luggage (at 6pm. No one opened up when the doorbell was rung and a few other guests were also trying to figure out how to get in. We managed to reach you by phone and received instructions for a lockbox without issue, but this is not the warm welcome one would expect from a guesthouse. We may as well have gone with an airbnb. The house itself felt cold and unwelcoming. Dust particles crackled under our feet as we entered the house and cobwebs crowded the shower. While the downstairs was renovated with respect for the history of the house, the bathroom was not. Appliances were high- quality, some spending on bathroom tiling and a small walk-in rather than a plastic shower wall would have made a big difference to the space. Some more toiletries and handsoap were missed.
• Ilse (8/5): Very good - Location and comfort were excellent. The only big problem was the way to admission. It was not previous information about the way to get the keys. The code we have got was not the real code, but the Booking Code. This situation was inadmissible because we got to the place under the rain and nobody could explain us which of the 4 code registers on the external window was to be pressed, nor there was any indication of have to communicate previously by phone, nor that the real code was to be obtain at the place by phoning. The extra complication is that SouthAmericans don`t get wi fi on the European streets.

• Jim (8/5): Pleasant stay in attractive surroundings. - Pleasant old building, very well located in the city centre. Staff helpful. Breakfast good when available. Spacious and attractive rooms. TV had practically no English Language programmes (only two I think and not the kind of material that most Europeans would be interested in). I did not use the TV beyond checking the channels on the first evening. Breakfast not available early enough. The sleeping room was accessed by a very steep narrow stairway, which was difficult for me (even though it would be ok for some people).
• Staci (8/5): Great location, fun architecture and comfortable surroundings. - Great location, comfortable bed and lovely to see the old architecture of the church throughout the property. We didn’t have any issues with the stairs, felt like a typical Dutch house. There is no water downstairs which means you need to go up and down to fill the teapot or fill a glass of water. Also, as others stated, there is no door to the bathroom, so this really is a property for those very comfortable with each other. The property is also close to the street which a lot of people use to walk to and from town, so if you are sensitive to noise at night, bring earplugs for a better night sleep.
• Yaqing (5/5): it’s an experience but not worth the price - - cute traditional house close to the center - the owner was very nice and arranging - the heater was off when we arrived and the walls are extremely cold. the whole stay was cold and humid despite turning the heater on - the cleaning wasn’t ideal - no sink in the kitchen, have to go upstairs every time - dangerous stairs - barely any soap provided
