• Marcel (9/5): - Cozy hostel with excellent location - everything is within 20-30 mins by foot. We managed to rent a room with a private bathroom, so it was a nice advantage. Easy check-in and all other facilities which are essential for a 3-4 night stay were present. It might be better to include irons in every room.

• Nicole (5/5): No volvería a ese lugar - La ubicación era buena, el sector no tanto, mucho ruido afuera de todo tipo La pieza era muy pequeña, no hicieron el aseo cuando salimos en la mañana, nisiquiera pusieron papel higiénico, tuvimos que comprar, el ruido era muy molesto.
• Michele Crane (8/5): Mixed review - The location was perfectly situated. The room had 2 balconies and the building which was old and full of character which we loved. The room was large enough, had a good sized bed and was really comfy. There is no minibar, but there is a decent fridge in the room. Tea & coffee were available from the lobby, but sometimes there were no cups, never a spoon, and not always coffee. The same stale bread and a single yoghurt were left there for the whole 4 days of our stay, along with some cherries! Water came into the room under the balcony door one night after heavy rain, which I had to mop up with a towel (it was when staff had left for the day). I had to go and find toilet paper even though I had asked for the room to be serviced that morning- the bed was made but no one had bothered to replace the toilet roll, which was a little awkward. Luckily, I found some behind the reception desk.
• Clarisa (8/5): Perfect location with great accommodations. - Best location with very nice staff. Lots of locked doors between front door, hotel room floors, and rooms, so felt very safe. Very clean! Also loved the toilet paper that had little dogs on it. Bed was extremely comfortable and shower had great water pressure. The thermostat wouldn't go below 20C (68F). I know it's a bit particular, but as an American from New England, 68 is basically summer so i was a bit sweaty most nights. I couldn't leave the doors open to the Juliette balcony without getting eaten alive by mosquitos. I know a lot of places have environmental rules, so may not be the fault of the building itself. I definitely recommend asking for a fan! The room is manhattan sized (very small and economic) so may be worth downsizing the king bed to a queen in the room.
• Jagielski (3/5): Wouldn’t stay there again but it wasn’t that bad. - Good water pressure, clean, and friendly staff. It was extremely loud. I think it was over a bar. Didn’t quiet down until around four. I did have the door open about a foot for cooler air.

• George (5/5): - excellent location, next to la rambla. Easy access to parking (paid). The feeling of the old building not good. Peculiar smells and seems like not well maintained and clean. We considered leaving before check in. The hotel is on the 2nd floor. Once you go through the door, everything changes. Nice interior. Very helpfull staff. Satisfactory room. Old doors with old locks. Ok for a budget choice.

It is in the Gothic Quarter and we walk almost everywhere Only reason why I didn't give the facility 10, is that it is not en-suite bathrooms, although each room does have an associated private bathroom. It is just quite a long way down the passage, which can be a problem in the middle of the night. But if your bathroom has to be down the passage, this is probably the best way it can be

• Julien (9/5): No frill hotel for budget conscious travelers - Super central location, not too far from metro station. It can be loud if you have noisy neighbors
• Saskia (9/5): Toller Städtetrip mit perfekter Ausgangslage. - Die Lage war perfekt. Man hatte ein schönes Zimmer und wenn man das Hotel verlassen hat, war man mitten im Geschehen. Check-In ging einfach mit Codes. Selten so eine gute Dusche in einer Altstadt gehabt. Ein Stuhl auf dem Zimmer fehlte, um Kleidung ablegen zu können.:-)

Location couldn't be better in the gothic Quarter Very loud outside on the night we stayed there but this wasn't the hotels fault. Just something to bear in mind if you want a quiet night. If you are out partying/drinking it wont matter.

• yuliia (6/5): - Сподобалось ,що було швидко до моря. І вигляд з номеру. Дуже довго відповідали на повідомлення у месенджерах на хвилюючі питання. Комунікація бажає кращого . Звукоізоляція жахлива , здавалось ,що вночі я проводила час з кожною людиною надворі . Шум до 3-4 ранку і після дороги я не спала взагалі .в номері відсутня тумбочка аби покласти дрібні речі . Для інших речей теж дуже мала шафка де поміщався лише рюкзак . Вікно продуває , я не уявляю 🫣 як там при поганій погоді .між самими номерами теж дуже дуже чутно , буквально все що розмовляють та роблять ваші сусіди. Район не найкращий для перебування у Барселоні ,що склало не дуже приємне враження при заселення пізно ввечері.

• Kathleen (10/5): First time Hostal stay. Would do it again. - Great location and good price. Joe is a thoughtful and attentive owner. Went out of his way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The Hostal is clean and the rooms have great lighting. I stayed in a solo room with a private bathroom located down the hall. As long as I remembered to take everything with me it worked out great. Everything was wonderful.

Great hospitality and an option to leave the luggage and picking them up later in case of a later flight after the check out time. And an excellent location (between the beach and the center) so everything was a walking distance away.

• Mateusz (5/5): Było ok, bo nie było nas dużo w pokoju, ale nie poleciłbym miejsca nikomu - Lokalizacja była świetna, balkon również przyjemny Wszystko słychać z zewnątrz jak i z wnętrza mieszkania, słychać jak osoby z pokoi obok rozmawiają, zamykają i otwierają drzwi, czystość łazienki i pościeli pozostawia wiele do zyczenia, przeciekał prysznic, ręczniki nie zostały wymienione ani razu mimo, że wywieszaliśmy zawieszkę z prośbą o posprzątanie pokoju, brak szafek nocnych przy łóżkach, lokalizacja to tak naprawdę jedyny plus (ale spory)

Not great if you want to get some sleep/rest. - The location was excellent - close to the beach, close to the Rambla, very central in general. The place was clean and comfortable. The room faced a very noisy street and there was a lot going on every single night (3 nights total) - loud party people, street cleaning machines, garbage and recycling trucks. Additionally, other guests came in late at night and we could hear everyone opening and closing doors as there is no noise insulation.

Al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato la maniglia rotta della porta del bagno, e anche dopo averlo fatto notare non è stata sistemata. Odore disgustevole (proveniente dall'esterno) nelle scale del condominio dell'albergo, dove è posizionata anche la finestra del bagno.

• Kristina (6/5): Top Lage aber nicht nochmal im Dreibettzimmer - Die Lage ist super. Das Dreibettzimmer mit direktem Blick auf eine Hauswand bzw. in den Schacht des Lifts war eher nicht so schön. Keine Mail mit Hinweisen zum Check-in. Der Check-in war nur möglich, da andere Gäste das Haus betraten und ich dann an der nicht besetzten Rezeption eine Telefonnummer fand, die ich anrufen konnte. Dann wurde uns aber schnell Zugang zu Zimmer gegeben. Der Mülleimer war nicht geleert im Bad und die Duschtür schloss nicht, so dass es bei jedem Duschen eine große Wasseransammlung im Bad gab. Die anderen Zimmer sahen aber ansprechend aus mit Balkon und Blick auf die Straße.

There were some lovely bars and restaurants close by to eat and drink. The area felt very safe also. Outside was very noisy at night time. However, the gothic quarter has many bars and outside seating areas attached to them. Just be prepared for noise at night

• Julia (8/5): Świetna lokalizacja i super cena - Świetna lokalizacja obiektu, właściciel bardzo miły i pomocny (mogliśmy zostawić bagaże przed rozpoczęciem pobytu jak i po wymeldowaniu). Stosunek jakości do ceny bardzo dobry. W nocy było bardzo głośno z zewnątrz, natomiast ze względu na lokalizację jest to zrozumiałe.

• Liliya (8/5): - Location is perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the bed was — not something you find often. It’s quiet, so you can really rest. There’s also the option to make coffee or tea. The staff and instructions were clear and helpful. I didn’t regret choosing this place. For me personally, the shower and toilet were a bit far, but it was manageable. The only issue was in the shower — there were some unpleasant smells, possibly coming from a neighboring area, and at times water was dripping onto the floor from above. I hope this has already been checked and resolved. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay — thank you.
