• Phillip (10/5): Cute, well appointed, clean and convenient. - Lovely facility within walking distance of restaurants and a 5-minute drive to see Puffin!!!! Bottom rooms hear the upper rooms activity a little too much.

While it didn’t bother me and it wasn’t persistent, you could definitely hear people above you moving around (and snoring! But that was very faint).

• Danielle (10/5): Such a cute, romantic place to stay and enjoy a gorgeous town. - Location was great - walking distance to restaurants, waterfront, shops, etc... Easy & friendly check-in. Beautiful cottage, decor and comfortable bed. Breakfast items, coffee and tea provided were also wonderful. We wish we could have stayed longer. Our only problem was with the folks who were staying in the suite above us. Unsure if they were aware that there were people staying below them, but they were up early (630am) stomping around, speaking loudly, passing our door multiple times with no consideration for their surroundings, until we got frustrated enough and came out to ask them to keep it down.
• Grace (9/5): Cozy & clean getaway - We had a fabulous stay, thank you to the amazing friendly staff! We didn't realize there was a continental breakfast provided when we booked, that was a lovely surprise. The room was very clean and check in/out was easy. I would just warn anyone who is a light sleeper that the Lawrence suite is underneath an adjacent loft suite, and the noise of people walking overheard is very loud. Not the a fault of the property, just something to be aware of!

• Siyin (9/5): Everything was nice overall, except for one small downside. - We arrived at the hotel earlier than expected, and the host kindly allowed us to check in early. The room was spotless, and we really liked the scent of the hand soap and lotion — a lovely herbal fragrance. The bed was very clean and comfortable, and the small sitting area was also tidy and cozy. We especially appreciated the breakfast setup — it didn’t disturb our sleep and offered great privacy. The location is excellent — most attractions are within walking distance. We were assigned the Transmith room, which unfortunately had very poor sound insulation. Footsteps from the upstairs unit were loud and clear, and we could even hear conversations word for word. Luckily, the guests upstairs went to bed early and checked out early in the morning — otherwise, it could have been a serious issue.

• Kathy and Barrie (9/5): Looking forward to a return stay at the Russelltown Inn - The Russelltown Inn was an elegant, comfortable, clean historic inn. What made this accommodation extra special were the special touches - highly quality, locally made toiletries; a kettle, French press & freshly ground, locally roasted coffee; and the boxed continental breakfast just outside our door first thing in the morning. Signage leading to and on the Russelltown Inn. Newfoundland towns/villages tend to meander over the landscape and finding the Inn proved to be a little challenging after a long day of driving.

• Mark (9/5): - I loved the building itself. Russelltown Inn is a collection of historic houses in close proximity. I stayed in the yellow one, which dates back to the 19th century and has a lovely little entryway with original stained glass windows. I had a nice room on the ground floor. Nice from above when someone is walking around up there, but not too bad. They drop off a breakfast box at your door in the morning. Pretty basic, but a nice way to start the day. Bonavista is a wonderful place to visit, and Russelltown Inn makes a really nice base.

• Michael (8/5): Lovely place to stay but I would not want to be in this building again if there was another party there. The old buildin - The location and history of the building was very nice. The restoration work is done very good. The building was a two unit building and I was in the downstairs room. EXTREMELY noisy with the guests upstairs, zero sound proofing between floors. Fortunately the second night the unit was vacant and there was zero noise. Then there was peace and quiet.

• Torfs (9/5): Great experience. Friendly staff. - We stayed there two nights. The first night was in a queen suite in an cute old quaint cottage. It was comfortable and very clean. The second night was in a beautiful loft king suite which was very spacious and newly renovated. Very comfortable bed. We had breakfast delivered in a box to the room which included a warm boiled egg, a muffin, a yogurt and a banana along with ample coffee. The armchairs in the loft could have been more comfortable. It would have been useful to have a sink in the kitchenette area. It would be useful to have more than one suitcase rack in the room.

• Linda (10/5): Sleeping in a converted barn is fun! - It was large, clean and bright and in a convenient location to see all the sights in the area. The included breakfast was a nice surprise - they bring it to your door at 8:00am in a picnic basket (hard boiled egg, muffin, cheese, yogurt, apple and coffee). Super clean. Loved it! You can hear the neighbours below you if they are noisy.

• Roy (10/5): - Stunning suite. Beautifully decorated and appointed. Lovely breakfasts delivered to our loft each morning. Premium facilities and finishes throughout. One of the nicest stays we've experienced in recent memory. I was a bit concerned about disturbing the couple staying in the suite below us when walking on the floor in the night time. But this is a renovated older structure so some creaks and squeaks are unavoidable.

• Berit (10/5): A beautiful gem of place to stay! - Such a clean and fresh room! The details of local coffee and toiletries, and the breakfast basket made this a very special place. Staff was great at introducing us to the inn and resolved a email/ registration problem we had.

All conveniences were on site. Easy check in. Might have been nice to have a lobby or sitting room to read or visit in. Rooms are tight.

A French press, complimentary Bonavista coffee to get you started, 18% cram and 2% milk in the fridge, beautiful rosemary and mint body and hair products, lots of drawers and cupboards for a tidy looking room for our longer stay, sheets and pillows superb, ability to open windows to take in the sea air, and an adorable breakfast box every morning at 8:00. Can’t say enough, staff live close-by so available and willing to help, would move in if we could! For tea folks, a tea pot would be nice. A very minor detail, but perhaps a thought for the future.

Highly recommend for exploring Bonavista...close to great restaurants, shops and harbour. Laurie the host, helpful with recommendations for great meals. Everything exceeded our expectations.

We stayed in Gosling House on the first floor. We could hear the conversations and footsteps of the people on the top floor. Sound proofing between floors would have made our stay perfect. We used CC on the TV so the upstairs renters were not bothered but would have preferred not to do that.
• young (7/5): Lovely historic and very comfortable! - Very lovely room and beautiful bathroom, in a beautifully restored house. Great to have breakfast delivered. Great to have plates and glasses, etc. There was no daily room housekeeping with the excuse of not wanting to provide clean towels every day, but that meant no cleaning, or replacing coffee, plates, cutlery, etc., if used. No doubt you could ask and get stuff replaced.

Wirklich sehr gelungen, toller alter Ordner, hübsches Schlafzimmer mit seperatem kleinen Aufenthaltsraum. Das Bad ist aber nicht alt, sondern modern und sehr sauber, mit allem was man braucht! Alles war sehr sauber! Auch das verspätete Checkin (durch mich verschuldet) hat gut funktioniert, dank Schlüsselbox! Die Lage ist auch super, alle Geschäfte und Restaurants Bonavistas sind fussläufig erreichbar! Ich kann diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Gar nichts!

• Simmons (4/5): Beautiful but not comfortable - Place was pretty, had a nice modern appearance to the room itself. And the muffins were great! You hear everything and everyone. The night before we could hear every move from the family above us. The following morning they checked out and were yelling and stomping down the stairs and the staff was just as loud. The walls are paper thin and the noise just booms through. We're a young couple who couldnt find our peace here during our short stay.

• Line (10/5): Une excursion d’une nuit plus que confortable (lit et oreillers = parfaits, la chambre exceptionnel et le petit déjeuner - Tout y est dans un décor calme et douillet. Propreté et déjeuner = un gros wow! Ensoleillée à souhait et les produits de bain et douche = extraordinaires et d’une qualité exceptionnel!! Rien 😉
• Maryhelen (10/5): Stay here in the Loft room you will love it. - Loft room was amazing. Real coffee cups glasses a French press wine glasses and a cork screw. This is unheard of these days. Beautiful room also nice bar fridge. So many great things for a traveller. Washroom was big nice shower. Most comfortable bed as well. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. Hotels should come to see what they are missing. Stayed somewhere recently all they had were styrofoam coffee cups.

• Sandro (8/5): Schöne und saubere Unterkunft im wunderschönen Bonavista - Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft, sauber und man hat alles was man braucht. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl hier. Das Bett könnte etwas grösser sein 😉 Ansonsten hat uns alles sehr gut gefallen .

• Monica (10/5): Fantastic! Did not disappoint - Easy to find. The host was easy to find and welcomed us warmly. Took us to our room which I cannot say enough. Praise about! It was stunning. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was huge. Continental breakfast was great. I would highly recommend this place.
