Damian (10/5): Exceptional - Cool small town surrounded by nature. It is not the richest town you will ever see. For us, it was exactly what we wanted.

Gary (8/5): Weekend in the Balkans - We were greeted by a lovely lady who told us all we needed to know about the place. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The showers were hot and the kitchen was well equipped. The location is great for the local mineral pool but it is now seasonal and we were not able to use it. The village has nothing else to offer except the lovely views. You will need a car to get out and explore. The apartment has wifi but it is very weak and none of us (4) could get a connection.

Филип (5/5): It's an OK experience if you're staying for 1 night - We liked the hospitality of the lady who met us. The house is nicely decorated and there's a dining room for everyone but you can prepare coffee and food if you like. The village is small and secluded but you can find very nice and tasty food in the restaurants in Troyan - 20 min. by car. Booking.com will not charge your card, you need to bring cash to pay! The bathroom is in the room where you sleep and it has two plastic walls, so no sound isolation for four people. What?! xD The water from the shower isn't properly drained as well, so we needed to mop the floor. The room gets hot during the day because of the small window. For a quadruple room, it's very small and if you're staying with 3 other people there's literally no place to maneuver inside. :( Also, the ceiling is very slanted.

Rebecca (6/5): Pleasant - The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and lovely to speak to. The building is quirky and nice to stay in. This property should not be advertised as pet friendly. I had let the host know I had 2 dogs but she asked that they had to sleep outside on the balcony - I think booking.com should know that people in the UK keep dogs as part of the family and inside, unlike Bulgaria. Therefore this accommodation is not pet friendly. Also the poor dog kept in a shed in the next yard cries and it is heartbreaking.

Shipkovo is a lovely village with mineral springs, beautiful views and pottery traditions, you can purchase them directly from manufacturer.
