• Robert (10/5): Ana and her family are so accommodating and care about their guests. A great room with a wonderful patio to enjoy the vi - A great location a little away from the tourist hassles of Old Town but with a wonderful view and great family run accommodation. It was a wonderful stay just be prepared for all the stairs and hills. This is to be expected and not a negative to the guesthouse.

• Izolda (10/5): Praktische Lage und angenehmes Ambiente - Ein sehr herzlicher Empfang, tolle Lage, sehr sauber und alles im Zimmer, was man für einen kurzen Aufenthalt so braucht. Dubrovnik, Lapad, Gruz in der Nähe und man kann trotzdem ruhig schlafen. Auch war der Kontakt sehr einfach hergestellt und die Ankunftszeit schnell ausgemacht.

• Aleksa (4/5): Not good for athletes. - The location is good. I came by car. They told me that "private parking" is paid extra. It was paid in cash, not through booking. I was packed on the street the whole time!!! The bathroom has two entrances from the room and from the corridor. The entrance from the corridor was locked. I came with a bicycle to the apartment. My mistake is that before arriving I did not ask if I could stay with him. The old man behaved rudely when he saw the bicycle and said that dogs and bicycles are not allowed in the apartment.

• Jan (9/5): Very convenient property for docks and bus station. - Very good location for bus station and for docks Lots of steps up to the property but they were manageable.

Ana je bila veoma ljubazna i docekala nas i objasnila sve sta se nalazi u blizini i kako doci do odredjenih znamenitosti. Krevet nije udobar , takodje ni jastuci (jastucnice nisu bile postavljene - vec smo ih sami navukli) Parking pise da se dodatno naplacuje sto je ok - ali u ovom slucaju dje se auto bukvalno parkira na ulici (bez rampe ili bilo kojeg znaka naplate) uzimati gostima novac je suludo - ali dobro svako ima pravo za neka "pravila" samo sto je po meni veliki minus ovoga objekta

• stanaway (10/5): Great property in gruz, Dubrovnik - Great room with shared bathroom and you get exactly what it says in the description. Coffee and tea provided in the morning and near a bus stop for travel into the old town. I would recommend staying in this area as it has the best food and drinks nearby only 20 minutes bus to the old town and near the port and bus station. Ivona was great at telling us exactly how to get to the property with pictures but there are signs outside too. Would recommend to stay!

Desde el alojamiento te mueves al centro en autobús sin problema en pocos minutos. Baño compartido y poca intimidad
• Jackson (10/5): - Ana was a lovely host and this was a great option to stay the night before getting on the ferry at Dubrovnik. Albeit a long and uphill walk from the Main Bus, I have no complaints and the walk down to the Ferry in the morning was so easy. The room was air conditioned and the bed was comfy. It was a little tight for space but all I need was a bed for the night!

• Martin (9/5): Exceptional - The room is large with comfortable bed. The house is quiet with 4 min. walking distance from the main road. The host is very nice and helpful. I particularly like the terrace for group gathering. There are bar restaurants and supper market nearby . It locates in upper level. You may need to walk the stairs for a few minutes. It may be a bit challenge if you carry a heavy luggage. No problem if you take Uber.

• Miguel (5/5): Very nice and friendly host, reasonable location, but the room was claustrophobically small. - The host is really very nice and friendly, always willing to help. We watched a heavy rain and she offered to iron our clothes, which was nice. The room is clean, so as the shared bathroom. We felt secure at the premises, as she is always around. The location is ok, just a few blocks uphill from the bus station, so be careful if you have a lot of luggage. Good Wifi. Unfortunately the room is very very small. There is no place even to open your small suitcase, no place to leave you goods, it's a bit claustrophobic, there is no table to work on the computer, the only thing you can really do is sleep.Even to make breakfast is difficult, as the is no surface to leave the plates, only on the bed. The outside area is good, but it was too cold to stay there, too windy. It's ok for a night, but in case you need a longer stay you will need a larger room.

Potential guests should be advised that the property is all uphill from the Central Bus Station but that taxis are cheap. However Google sat.nav directs taxis a block downhill, with an extra flight of steps to get to the property's first flight of steps!!

• Jan (8/5): Our stay was as expected. - Air conditioning was great and the private bathroom was very nice. The host was very nice as well. Location very close to a bus station with good service (although the busses tend to be filled to the brim with tourists). There was an ant colony living in the walls which came after our food. The street the accomodation is on is not particularly nice.

Owner arranged parking which made the trip a breeze. We were running late coming back from old town for check out and the owner allowed us to shower and get ready for the journey back to Split! Lovely woman and house will definitely use again!

• Kibo (10/5): I felt at home at Guesthouse Ivona and will definitely be coming back when I start missing Dubrovnik. - Had a parking lot which is otherwise impossible to find in Dubrovnik. The garden was really nice and the view was decent. Additionally, everything was super clean (including the shared bathroom) and comfortable. We had a bunch of spare towels and sheets in our room too. It’s uphill, so if your car is low or you’re getting back to the property drunk and/or tired, it can be a challenge. There’s also no stove or a way to cook or fry your food, although it is just a room after all.
• Victoria (10/5): Exceptional - Conveniently located near the historic old town, with a quick 5-minute bus ride or a pleasant walk, and in close proximity to the bus terminal and the port for boat excursions. The host was exceptionally welcoming, offering flexible check-in arrangements and maintaining excellent communication throughout the stay. The room had a good size with a balcony that offered breathtaking views, and the entire space was impeccably clean.
• Jana (8/5): Local & comfy accommodation close to the bus station - We stayed at Ivona´s place just for 1 night before our flight back from Dubrovnik. The apartment is further from the city, but it´s a short walk to the bus station from which the shuttle bus leaves, which was exactly what we needed. It was a very genuine accommodation since the room is in a house where the host lives. The lady was very accommodating and she shared with us also tips on public transport. The size of the room and its facilities met our expectations, beds were comfy and we enjoyed our stay. For young people, the furniture in the room can feel a bit outdated. Also, there was a kettle, but a couple of tea bags or instant coffee would have been great. The room floor was a bit dusty.

Very good value for the price. - We liked that Ana showed receptivity, flexibility and a good service orientation when we asked for services not strictly included in the contract. She allowed us to store our luggage with her for a few extra hours. When we discovered that we had left some items in the closet, she mailed them to us quickly (albeit for an extra fee, which we considered reasonable). The room was also abundantly stocked with tourist information and non-standard accessories that can be useful to those away from home. The guesthouse location is very conveniently close to the main bus station, the cruise port, and to bus lines running to the historic center. The walk up to the guesthouse from the main street where the buses run is rather steep although not excessively long. This may be a concern for older guests dragging luggage up in the midday sun.

• Ashley (9/5): Easy accommodation close to bus and ferry - This was lovely, clean and comfortable. It's really close to the bus station and ferry terminal which was perfect for us. They were also able to arrange early check in so we could leave our bags on arrival. Its a quiet area away from the old town but easy to reach the sights by bus, taxi or even walking.
• Tian (2/5): Thanks for destroying my day in Dubrovnik - The host was able to communicate in English and respond quickly I am not a picky person who requires a lot. But this accomodation was REALLY disappointing in my whole life travel experience. 1. There is no proper blanket, just a sheet cover with a towel. Are you kidding me... 2. The host locked her kitchen and told me no kitchenware is allowed to use as its not belonged to her. She asked me to get drinking water from the toilet. 3. I asked for coffee in the morning, well she made but full of grinded coffee bean. And she gave me stale milk which made the coffee like yogurt. She even asked for 2 EURO for it and said I should have asked before...wth 4. I dont want to make more comments on the slope and terrace, compared to the awful stay all the others is bearable. Anyways, I can understand Dubrovnik in August is full, but considering the 100EURO paid for this room is ABSOLUTELY not worthy the price. Better stay in hostel or pay 50EURO more for a proper room. And to the hostlady: People should have some basic conscience, dont take your customers as idiots.

The balcony door has shutters and curtains, so it's completely dark, great if you want to sleep in. It's a bit far from the old town, though the bus stop is just down the street.
