- Alexandra (7/5): -
- Marthinus (9/5): - Great location and hosts very friendly, room was clean and little patio was great
- Joao (10/5): Perfect!!!!! Highly recommend!!! - The house has a beautiful terrace and the rooms are super cozy, like you’re staying at your grandmas house! Lovely! Manda greeted us with a warm welcome and made our stay even better! 10/10
- Azlinah (10/5): - Comfy, great location & lovely host. The stairs up to the house was a bit challenging😅
- Kelly (10/5): Warm and inviting- non touristy feels so local. - The Terrace!! Nothing- it is quaint and best for 1-2 people.
- Kovač (10/5): Izvrsno! Preporuka za sve buduće posjetitelje. - Objekt je bio izvrstan. Soba čista i uredna.
Nemam nikakvih zamjerki.
- Stefanie (9/5): - We had a warm welcome at the guesthouse and felt like home. The entrance to the appartment is nice and private. Communication with the host was quick and very helpfull. Would love to come here again.
- Kate (7/5): Well located for the Old Town. - Conveniently located near the old town Pile gate. The property is at the top of 68 steps which should be considered at booking. Don't go up the wrong set of steps! The Manda steps are number 20, and there is a sign at the pavement.
- Liane (9/5): Lovely Stay - The location was excellent, the view from the terrace was beautiful, the room was clean and comfortable, and Anna and her family were very kind and helpful. We had a little difficulty finding it because we went up the wrong set of stairs first. Make sure you see the number 20 on the wall before starting up any stairs.
- Paolo (8/5): Cosy - Loved the location. Anna was lovely albeit her English was little but lovely. Ciew of the city and sunset and pretty garden and roof top. The steos to apartment but you get used to it
- Alana (8/5): -
- Laurentiu Daniel (9/5): -
- Nino (10/5): - The host was very caring and attentive. Location and views perfect! Only minus is stairs. But there are stairs everywhere in Dubrovnik.
Aria condizionata efficiente, ambiente sempre fresco.
- Maria (9/5): -
- Fabio Massimo (9/5): - Posizione centralissima, appartamento pulito e fornito di tutto, cortesia e disponibilità dello staff e view panoramica
- Nga (10/5): -
- Gabriela (9/5): Gemütliches Appartenent mit schönem Ausblick! - Zentrale Lage, klein aber fein sehr nette Gastgeberin!
- Jakub (10/5): - Wszystko zgodne z opisem, polecam!
- Ronald (7/5): - Clean
- kenny (8/5): - Great location, very clean, and the host was very kind and welcoming

- Justin (8/5): - Nice guesthouse within short walking distance of the old town. Manda was lovely. Just a heads up that there is a large staircase (50+ stairs) to enter the property. This wasn’t a problem for me, but could be a barrier for others.
On that note — Dubrovnik has a lot of elevation change/stairs in general. Consider that when booking.
- Conor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helena (6/5): There might be better options - The room was good and the bed was comfortable. It is located close enough to the Old Town, although Google Maps played a trick and made us walk a lot to get to a nearby point on our first morning there. There was no one to ask questions about. I was not even asked to provide my documents. You need to climb up several steps to get to the room. The view is not nice. The person who communicated with me online before arrival put lots of pressure on the check-in time. Our flight got delayed and I was overly stressed to arrive late. I thought nobody would be there to host us, but fortunately a lady opened the door. There was no need to stress me so much.
- Caoimhe (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tomasz (10/5): Very good place to visit dubrovnik - It was very close to old town, clear the room and very nice service.
- Onur (9/5): Superb - Beautiful views, comfortable studio, nice outdoor space. Everything you need to prepare simple meals in the kitchen. Excellent location that is only a few minutes walking distance to Old Town, nice beaches and amenities. I see some people complained about the stairs, yes, there are a few stairs you need to climb but if you’re not comfortable with that you should not visit Dubrovnik at all since Old Town is also full of them.
- Katharine (9/5): Would definitely rebook if returning to Dubrovnik - stunning location and accommodation. - Fabulous views of and location near the old town from the beautiful garden terrace which we often used for breakfast and evening drinks.
Very comfortable extra large double bed. Good bathroom facilities.
Very kind and helpful owner and much appreciated arrival drinks and cake. Our priority was a large bed and so we understood the space around it would be compromised.
We needed to conduct speedy showers before the hot water ran out.
- Angelie (9/5): Great place to stay near the city centre - The location was convenient. It was close to all the main attractions, like the City Walls. The place was clean and quiet and we had access to a seating area that overlooks the main part of the city and you can also see the ocean. Our room had an AC, which was great because it can get hot during the day and night. But the best part of our stay was the host --she was an amazing lady! She provided us food and drinks when we arrived and helped us get settled. She also provided fresh towels during our stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone! I wish we had access to the kitchen to cook simple meals. Also, make sure to bring your own toiletries as they only provide hand soap and toilet paper.
- Bliūdžiūtė (10/5): Good - Very nice owner, very clean, small but comfortable
- Brian (9/5): Superb - People do need to know there's a LOT of steps up from the main road
- Doreen (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was good
Staff was great
Food was very good
- Mustafa (9/5): Manda ( the owner) nice and warm. Loved the place clean and peaceful. Recommended 🙏 -
- Matthew (8/5): Very good - Location was great, stairs were a bit tricky to navigate to the property howerever. Also some additional notes on which stairs owuld be great to have. Wifi network was available but after my first night I was not able to connect to the internet (was able to connect to the network, not internet).
- Jo (3/5): Poor -
- Byron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Briony (6/5): A step workout - Communal terrace is lovely with the view, good location short walk from the old town, friendly welcome with a cold drink as well. Scratchy sheets, slightly cramped room, and many steps (in the heat of summer with even small carry on cases, it felt a big workout)
They don’t do left luggage
- Mohammed (9/5): Clean room, excellent owner - Very well maintained, clean room. The terrace is shared. The room we had is attached to the terrace. Good view of old town and sea. The owner lady is very welcoming. She helped us find a nearby parking, and shared an easier way to get to the room from upper street. With a kid, the room will seem a bit small. But we only spent night time at the room, so space was no issue for us at all. But if you are tired, climbing the stairs will be a bit hectic.
To be honest, this will be the same review for most of the guest rooms near old town.
- Daryl (8/5): Nice place outside Old Town - The room was clean although it was rather small and the staff were friendly. The washroom had a proper shower. Although not in old town; it was only a 5 minute walk to get there. From the main road, this place had a huge staircase (at least 50 steps) to reach the property; I was grateful we had backpacks and not suitcases.
- Claire (7/5): We had a great stay in Dubrovnik. The guest house was in a great location. Close to the old town, on a road with great b - Great location, it was quiet. There was a fridge to use and the patio had a great view. There were a lot of steps up from the road
- Jasmine (9/5): A lovely appartment and fantastic hosts - The apartment had a gorgeous terrace, was well kitted out, comfortable and was kept impeccably clean. The location was really good for us, no noise from the street but just a short 5-10 min stroll to old town for the days and nights antics. Yes there are a lot of stairs to get up there but you get the same in almost every other guest house, if you want to fully enjoy dubrovnik, you're gonna need to get used to some stairs!
Erica and Manda took great care of us and Ana was super responsive to all my questions and kindly arranged a pick up from the airport for us. It was a super hot the day we arrived and Manda sent out some fresh lemonade and homemade cake to replenish our energy which was incredibleand very appreciated. Fresh towels and loo roll appeared on our 3rd day too! Bonus was the main room had a brilliant air-conditioning unit which was a welcome relief after the 36°C heat! The shower was fantastic pressure and once we figured out the switch to heat the water, we had a perfect range of cool and warm showers to suit every occasion 🤣 The bed is quite squeaky so we did get woken up a few times from moving in our sleep, and because of being a lovely king-size, there's no room to stand at the wardrobe so there was a bit of climbing to be done. Lastly I struggled to regulate my temp at night, we had to experiment with the settings on the air-conditioning unit to get the right temp all night to counteract the heat, but not too cold as there wasn't a duvet, just a sheet. I'd recommend some WD40 and a spare blanket 😉
- Amir (5/5): Passable -
- Anthony (8/5): Beautiful view and affordable stay near the old town. - Great location and lovely view from the terrace.
- Kia (10/5): Exceptional - Just loved this place! It was like coming to home.
- Flynn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vicki (10/5): Wonderful location and facilities close to the old city and transport - Everything! Wonderful terrace for breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening with view of the sea and part of old city fortress. There were 68 steps to climb from the road but this didn’t bother us as it was great exercise and we had backpacks not suitcases 😃 Nothing
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judit (1/5): negligence - nothing we could not get up the stair, so did not stay there, and did not receive a refund
- Camille (9/5): Superb -
- Emily (8/5): Lovely stay here with a beautiful terrace, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. - Lovely room and house, had everything we needed. Lovely and accommodating staff too as we arrived earlier than planned. Beautiful terrace with a great view of the fortress and old town. Only a 5 minute walk to the entrance of the old town. Quite difficult to find with the steps up to the property.
- Skylar (8/5): Very good - The hostess (Manda?) was very sweet, and seemed super friendly. Checking in and out was very easy and cold drinks and a little chocolate were provided when checking in. The room was a bit cozy but there was plenty of room and storage spaces. The stairs! Coming up from the street, it felt like it never ended. Luckily our bags were backpacks but I could see issues with people with large heavy suitcases making the climb up.
- Malika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (8/5): Lovely compact room, good value for money but nothing fancy - The room was lovely and clean but basic, the terrace was great to enjoy some drinks/relaxing time on and Amanda was really lovely, even bringing us some homemade cake one afternoon. The room wasn’t particularly spacious so we did find ourselves not wanting to spend too much time in there. We also had majorly disturbed sleep from the room above (not sure if this was a fellow guest or the host quarters), being kept up until afternoon midnight twice and woken up about 5:30am on one occasion. This could have been a one off but it meant sound proofing wasn’t great. Also be prepared for stairs! Definitely not for anyone with mobility issues.
- Katrin (9/5): Superb -
- Rhiannon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bhawana (8/5): It’s a nice property with a beautiful view of the sea and old town a bit. If you are young people without and knee probl - The room and the bathroom
Was clean. Freshly washed linen and towels were provided.
Water temperature in the shower was good for 2 long showers in a go.
The location is ~1 km from the old town which is walkable. The stairs to the house were too steep for someone with bad knees. The stairs case(~15-20) remain in the dark during the night. It doesn’t feel scary but it feels risky to walk in the dark due to fear of sliding on the stairs and hurting yourself physically.
The place didn’t have cutlery or hot plate which you could use.
- Bagley (10/5): A beautiful room to stay near Old Town with and a amazing view and private experience. - Great location with an amazing view. We felt like locals! It was nice being a bit off the normal tourist routes but still with easy access to everything.
- Judy (8/5): Very good -
- Igor (10/5): Exceptional - 5 minutes from the old city (Pile Gate), great host, the room is clean, it has a lot of privacy, bathroom is shared with only one other room so you won't have any troubles using it. It has a wonderful terrace outside with the view of the old city. I recommend it to everyone.
- Aziz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (10/5): Wonderful stay - Very clean, wonderful terrace and very kind host
- Mikko (7/5): Good -
- Isabel (10/5): Exceptional - The host providing dinner as I arrived very late. It was very thoughtful and welcome!
- Jeff (9/5): Quaint Memorable Stay - Terrace overlooking sea and proximity to old town. It was clean and the host was very nice. Communication of parking information. Shower didn’t drain properly.
- Sumit (8/5): Very good -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Connock (8/5): Lovley stay - Large comfortable bed with good aircon in the room. Separate bathroom with steep and awkward steps up into. Amazing terrace with stunning views
- Leroy (9/5): Awesome location and lovely lady. - Lovely owner and friend who are very friendly and ready to help you with any question or problem. Located directly next to the old city with plenty of options to do
- João (6/5): Great for crashing the night. - It is close to the old town. The view was fantastic.
There was AC in the room. The bed linen was old.
WiFi only covered half of the room.
Bathroom without body wash or shampoo.
A lot of stairs.
- Rachel (10/5): Excellent guesthouse run by a very sweet family - My stay at Guesthouse Manda was excellent! Manda and her granddaughter are so friendly, caring, and helpful, going out of their way to make me feel comfortable and welcome. My room was very clean and cozy, and the location is great, just a few minutes walk from the old town but far enough to feel relaxed - and the view from the terrace is phenomenal! Nothing not to like - everything was wonderful!
- Rudzeins (10/5): Manda she was great, I was there with my best friend, and we liked and enjoyed staying there. She welcomed us with some - It felt like it was at home. Very clean, and close to the beach
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marie-claire (10/5): Perfect - Amazing location and value for money; host was very accommodating; very clean; no complaints
- Amanda (3/5): There’s a reason why this one is non-refundable. - It was well situated for exploring Pile Gate and the old town. The property was located at the top of a very long flight of giant stone stairs that dumped directly onto a high-traffic road. My friend and I are both able-bodies and in our 40s and had a hard time navigating this staircase with just ourselves, let alone with our luggage. The handrailing moved from one side of the staircase to another. The stairs were steep and aggravated my friend’s vertigo.
The hot water did not last for more than 10 seconds jn the shower.
The bathroom sink drained very slowly during our entire stay.
Someone on the property was doing construction work until 10 pm right near our unit.
We eventually checked out early and went to another hotel to be more comfortable.
- Holly (6/5): Very good, but prices are questionable - The host was very welcoming and attentive, going the extra mile to offer us towels for the beach! The location in relation to the old town was maybe a 10/15 minute walk. We paid extra for a room with an adjoining bathroom which is really unusual- had we not done this we would have had to use the bathroom down the hall which was very small. The room came equipped with air-con, fridge/freezer and hairdryer. Our total for a 6 night stay was €927 which is cheap in comparison to the other accommodations we had looked at. Although, I do not feel that this price is justified when compared to the beyond basic amenities; the shower water being freezing cold after just a few minutes, the huge staircase just to get to the property (not clearly listed in properties description) and the fridge being very loud. There is no parking on the premises or along the same street. We paid €60 for baggage storage using an external company because the accommodation does not offer it. For €927 I would expect a lot more! We had to check out of the room by 10am or we would be made to pay for an entire extra night :( I have stayed in other accommodations for a lot cheaper with many more benefits to the customer. The price is obviously heightened during the tourism season but the standard of the accommodation does not match that of what they are charging.
- Klarin (7/5): Good -
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Ming (2/5): regret - close to old city too many steps.too high (about 4-5 stories)
it was very very hard to carry big luggage up and down to the house. the owner is an old lady with physical disability who can’t help at all.
- Robin (9/5): Superb -
- Nicki (8/5): Very good - Upper balcony with fabulous view and lovely spot for our breakfast and a couple of drinks in the afternoon. Having a fridge was great. Facility to make tea, coffee. Excellent location. We knew about the steps :) Great to have kettle, cups etc to make tea and coffee but would have been better to have some tea, coffee and milk also. Fridge in room was great to have but was a bit loud. Would still recommend this guest house.
- Peter (8/5): Very good - close to old town ! too many stairs to get up but good exercise !
- Manuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wilton (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - An ideal location just metres from the beautiful views of Gradac Park and a short walk from the Old Town. Excellent guesthouse and great hospitality, we would happily stay again :)
- David (6/5): Pleasant -
- Teresa (9/5): warm welcome, great location - lovely welcome, clean and great position
- Paula (6/5): the house is ok but the access is uncomfortable (lots of stairs) and dark. - the location is good and it was clean. the owner was really nice. if you take luggage, this is not your place. you have to walk up lots of stairs and there is no light at night
- Nazmeen (3/5): Very basic place and old fashioned with good location - Location was good There are a TON of stairs and with 3 heavy bags I had to make my way up on my own. It's a really dated place and the garden area doesn't look like its pictures. There is a kettle in the outside room but no tea or coffee. Manda doesn't speak any English.
- Teresa (9/5): peaceful location with extremely welcoming and helpful host - our host was so welcoming and helpful. she went out of her way to help us in lots of ways
it felt we were living with local people which we liked
the apartment was just as described and in a good location away from the crowds but easy to walk to the old town nothing
