Her team is great and very supportive and can help you with transfer and .... Everything was great. The only downside is the stairs, there are around 10 and it can be difficult when carrying a suitcase. Other than that, I had a very good experience.

• Svenja (10/5): Es war super. Küche zum Mitbenutzen, Kühlschrank, sogar Stühle die man an den Strand mitnehmen konnte. - Es hatte mehr als ich mir erwartet habe. Man konnte die Küche mitbenutzen, es hatte Stühle für den Strand und einen Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Das hat den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gestaltet.

• Mona (10/5): Wir kommen gerne wieder! - Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Uns gefiel bereits beim Eingang die gepflegte Umgebung. Das Zimmer hatte eine angenehme Grösse und es war sehr gut eingerichtet (sogar einen Tresor hat es!) Vor dem Zimmer hatten wir eine kleine Terrasse mit Hängematte, Sofa, Tisch und Wäscheleine. Die Gemeinschaftsküche war tipptopp eingerichtet, sogar Kaffee, Tee, Zucker, Öl, Gewürze usw. waren zum freien Gebrauch da. Uns hat alles gefallen. Ein kleiner Punkt noch: das WC ist sehr nahe an der Duschwand. Für jemand mit Übergewicht, könnte dessen Benutzung etwas schwierig werden.

• Linispin (10/5): Espectacular, muy cómodo - Aseo completo a diario con cambio de sabanas y toallas, ademas tiene 2 pares de toallas especiales para la playa q son muy utiles. Bueno en mi estadia habia una construccion al lado pero no es grave te acostumbras, se sale antes de q empiecen a trabajar pero si puee ser un poco molesto.

• Mark (9/5): Super location - Great access to the beach. Beach chairs and boogie boards available FOC. Comfortable room. Owners provide comprehensive information and local knowledge about a variety of activities and local restaurants. There is construction happening next door so best to be off the property during the day. And yes, the toilet does require sitting down almost ‘side saddle’.

• Nicole (9/5): Superb - Each room has a patio with a hammock, sofa, and a few tables. I loved spending time in my hammock, reading and listening to birds in the trees nearby. I was misled by the listing and thought I was paying for a private kitchen. This wasn't the case, but the shared kitchen was well stocked and there are only three rooms sharing the kitchen so I never had an issue with others using it when I needed to.

• Robert (10/5): Hidden gem of a place - Everything about this place was perfect. The place itself is a few minutes walk from nightlife but far enough for the peace and quiet. The staff were really friendly and excited to help. Out of my 7 day stay in Costa Rica, this was the most relaxing.

The house is not impressive at the first glance, but as you stay there you realize that everything is clean and works. Well equipped shared kitchen. Small terrace in front of the room is nice. For me a small working table would have been handy, but for surfers- beach holiday people nothing missing I guess.

• Augustin (5/5): Expensive mediocre place with water and electricity problems. - Good location. Pretty room. Clean. The place didn't have running water half of the time. Power also cut out once. Host was not particularly helpful. Not rude either, but did the bare minimum and did not entertain any requests, such as staying in a common space after check out until the shuttle picked me up. Had to walk around in the heat between cafes. Not worth the money I paid.
• Rebecca (10/5): Perfect Comfortable Paradise right next to beach - Room is a fair size, you have your own bathroom, you have your own little porch or patio, air conditioning works well, beautiful little garden oasis where you hear the birds and geckos 🦎 , outdoor shower, the apartment is literally 1 minute from the beach walking, 2 minutes from supermarket, 2-5 minutes from fabulous restaurants ❤️ Looks like sometimes they turned the water access off at night.. but sometimes was on. Since there are guests coming and going, showering, washing hands after toilet ect. It’s best to just leave the water consistently on for guests.

Had some safety issues, hammock rope was frayed and broke leaving me bedridden for the next 10 days. Loose gravel on steps coming in.

• Beatrice (10/5): Exceptional - Very close to the beach, literally across the road. Clean room, comfortable bed, good A/C, nice bathroom with hot shower. Fridge in the room. Kitchen has cold and hot water for drinking, and the necessary you need to cook basic meals. You have your own little patio with a sofa, table and chairs and a hammock. The kitchen could do with a revamp and some more utensils. But it's good enough for a few days. The room can be a little noisy as it's next to the road, but at night the road is quiet, so we didn't have a problem.

• Maria (9/5): Nice vibe. Good rooms. Two minutes walk to a beautiful beach. - I loved the fact that this accommodation is just two minutes walk from a lovely beach. The town is not much further, about five minutes walk. There are three rooms in a nice garden. They all have bathroom with shower and a terrace each. There's a communal kitchen, which was great. The vibe is quiet, it's a small family run hotel and the owners are pleasant and very helpful. The room is cleaned daily. Would definitely stay there again.

• Lily (8/5): Quiet place very close to the beach! - Overall I would recommend Casa del Sol. Very close to the beach (2 minute walk across the road), close enough to town (5-10 min walk depending what part of town you need to walk to), quiet location. Kitchen is clean and well equipped. Staff are kind and attentive! Wifi is good and hot water was not a problem. Hammock and couch on the front porch is a nice plus! Room was a good size and was cleaned each day. The bed was SO uncomfortable, it feels like a hard rock. A mattress topper would go a long way! Pillows are also not great, so I’d definitely bring your own. Also if you’re looking to be right in the middle of town/the action, this is not the place for you, but it is easy to walk there. One other downside is the walls/window seem very thin, the window faces the common outdoor area near the owner’s home and other guest rooms so there are often people walking by and you can hear footsteps/convo/the gravel very clearly. So doesn’t exactly feel romantic/secluded for couples if that matters to you!

• Alberto (5/5): Passable - It was clean and it has pretty much everything you may need. Close to the beach, not the 20 seconds they say but a couple of minutes walk and you are right in front of the ocean. Close to downtown Tamarindo and there is only 3 rooms, so it is a bit quiet in that aspect. Admin is courteous and respond to messages. After making the reservation the Hotel reported this is a cash-only establishment which should have been noted in the Booking page at the time of reservation, maybe I missed it, but it was more upsetting when they offered Paypal with an additional $10 for the charge. Strange enough they demand a $200 security deposit which can be done with a credit-card, explain me that! So it is just convenience for the place, not for the host I guess. Being an average 6' person, I found everything to be way to tight, the shower, the toilet and the bed. While being a solo host, I felt like I was not alone and not in the good way.
