• Miriam Agnes (9/5): Ich konnte die zwei Tage dort genießen! - Eine sehr liebevolle und gemütlich eingerichtete Location. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch die Kommunikation war gut. Es war allerdings laut, weil die Schiffe auch in der Nacht immer ihre Motoren anlassen. Man sollte Ohrstöpsel mitbringen. Due Unterkunft war sehr gemütlich, sehr hell und freundlich eingerichtet, alles war da was man brauchte und auch das Bett war sehr gut.

• Sabine (9/5): - Die Unterkunft liegt in Puntarenas fußläufig zum Fährterminal, direkt am Golf von Nicoya. Es trennte nur eine wenig befahrene Straße zum Strand. Die Sonnenuntergänge waren spektakulär. Für mich als Einzelperson war reichlich Platz: Schlafraum, schönes Bad, großer (!) Kühlschrank. Der Patio nach vorne raus war gut gesichert, bot Kaffeemaschine und Wasserkocher. Kaffee, Zucker, Spülmittel etc waren bei Ankunft vorhanden, was ich sehr zu schätzen wusste! Auch eine Spüle ist vorhanden. Aber am meisten muss ich die große Hilfsbereitschaft loben. Das war einfach außergewöhnlich! Mir wurde beim Gepäcktransport bis zur Fähre geholfen, das war für mich von unschätzbarem Wert! Der gesamte Kontakt war unkompliziert, locker, aber dennoch verbindlich. Wenn ich auf dem Rückweg von Nicoya in Puntarenas übernachte, dann wieder hier! Ich war sehr zufrieden mit meiner Wahl. Top: Klimaanlage!! Im Patio war es sehr heiß. Ich hätte mir einen Ventilator gewünscht. Eine Mikrowelle oder ein kleines Kochfeld wäre ebenfalls eine tolle Ergänzung.

• Marc (1/5): Disapppointing stay Right at the Ferry Dock - Unfortunately, the apartment is right at the ferry dock, which means constant noise from the ships all night long, and starting at 2 AM, trucks queue up right outside the door. Their engines and trailers keep running to power the air conditioning. The apartment has no soundproofing at all. The parking spot is on the sidewalk directly in front of the apartment. We didn't need the proximity to the ferry. Puntarenas overall is completely rundown.

• Crosby (10/5): Perfectly Pacific Puntarenas! - Our hosts, W & R, were friendly, accommodating and located on-site. They were quick to respond to all questions and requests. This location is perfect, across the street from the Ferry and between many restaurants and sights. It was a 13 minute walk to the stadium, where we saw a futbol game. Its situation on the Paseo made it convenient for us to sightsee on foot. Beach LITERALLY across the road. Sitting on the front patio, sipping coffee, watching the black spiny-tailed iguanas sunning themselves, while passengers readied themselves for their ferry trip was, to us, ideal. (Property photos are already posted; check out the sights!!) There was really NOTHING we didn't enjoy. We did our research, so we knew about the possibility of foot traffic and fishery trucks, but were pleasantly surprised at how respectful everyone was. There are a couple of resto-bars just down the street, but (again) we enjoyed the liveliness of the neighbourhood.

• Maura (10/5): - Very nice staff! They cleaned the room right after the previous guest had left to allow me to check in early, which was so kind. The room is bigger than what it looks in pictures, very clean and nice decoration. I was positively surprised by this place. Had free toiletries also (shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, and not even the cheapest stuff). They spoke perfect English. Right next to the ferry terminal. Could have stayed longer!

Temíamos del ruido pero la verdad mi pareja y yo dormimos profundamente, el ferry no estuvo ni cerca de ser un problema, es una experiencia que volveríamos a repetir!❤️ Todo fue bello, no tenemos queja alguna

The host was very pleasant and responsive to my messages, also offering us local information on restaurants etc. It could be noisy at times due to its location by the road to the ferry port, but that quietens late at night, and we still had a great night's sleep

• Brown (9/5): Our hosts were friendly and kind and offered recommendations and ideas to make our stay enjoyable. - The room and porch were decorated beautifully and the room was charming and comfortable. The hosts were so kind and friendly, it was a pleasure to get to meet them. It is located directly across from the ferry, so the long lines of trucks and cars were noisy at all hours.
• Edward (8/5): Great location and comfortable clean room. Good value. - The location was close to the ferry’s. The room was clean and comfortable and our host was very attentive. He even allowed us after a return from an excursion to use the shower after we had checked out as he hadn’t rented the room for the day. It can get noisy in the morning due to vehicles lining up to get on the ferry transports.
• Bryan (8/5): Great location & price if you need an overnight to catch the ferry! - Conveniently located across from the ferry landing, comfortable bed & good AC. Close to many places to eat. Being so close to the ferry, every time they came & left the horn would wake us (we went to bed early as we had to catch the 6:30am ferry) Would recommend taking earplugs & you should be fine.

• Anik (7/5): Good transit place - This was a transit place for us as we wanted to stop for the night before moving on to Quepos. Orlando, the owner, is a VERY nice man. He was waiting for us when we got off the fairy. This facility is literally 2 minutes from the ferry terminal, so the location is great if you are in transit (absolutely not for a long stay). This place is very small, but it was very clean and offered a great shower, and a confortable bed. It also provides air conditioning which is a must, and a small fridge. Unfortunately, because it is so close to the ferry, it is VERY noisy. Lots of trucks, bikes, people, ferries departing, dogs barking etc. The hustle and bustle of such an area. Also, there is not really parking as we parked on the sidewalk in front of the entrance as indicated by the owner.

• Havranek (9/5): accomodating and clean, a safe place to be - the room was clean and usefully equipped. the owners were very friendly and helpful. it has nothing to do with the accomodation, but Puntarenas has unfortunately seen more glorious times as it seems. But it gives you a very good chance to experience CR off the touristic environment. I guess this gives you the real CR.
