Sehr bequeme Betten, Abhol- und Bringservice aus Lijiang und nach Shangri-La. Gutes Englisch, Familienbetrieb, herzliche Menschen. 200m vom Gästehaus entfernt, liegt ein Wanderweg runter zum Fluss, der mit insgesamt ca. 2h Auf- und Abstieg eine beeindruckende Kulisse bietet.

- Mathilde (7/5): - Belle vue, le propriétaire peut venir vous chercher et vous déposer à Tina’s guest house Nous voulions rester une nuit pour prendre notre temps, nous avons finalement juste dû payer très cher notre taxi pour aller au début de la randonnée (pas nécessaire si vous restez juste la journée puisque le bus y dépose), étant plutôt bas dans la gorge on a pas la vue des montagnes, ce qui est un peu dommage, et je trouve tout de même que le logement est tres cher comparé à ce que l’on trouve en Chine
- M D (10/5): Incredible - Everything was perfect. The hotel is beautifully done in traditional tibetan architecture and our rooms had the most incredible view. Our rooms had a balcony overlooking the gorge directly. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was perfect. The staff was super friendly and nice and the local food was very tasty. Everything was 10/10 we loved our stay. They helped us organise trips in the near area (fantastic trails with no tourists) and farther away to Lijiang and Shangrila. - Kirsty (10/5): Highly recommended. I’d go back in a heartbeat - Tibet Guesthouse is located in an extraordinary setting in the middle section of Tiger Leaping Gorge in Walnut village. The family who run the guesthouse are lovely, helpful people. They really looked after us. They even booked us two mules to bring us up from the river. It was the only way we were going to get back. The food is fabulous. I highly recommend the banana pancakes and the noodle soups. The only thing we could possibly dislike is our inability to undertake all of the incredible hikes in the area. But this is our fault and absolutely not the hotel’s. We enjoyed talking to the fit young people who had done extreme hikes.

She prepared our room with great care and made us feel completely at home in her guesthouse. She even relocated the chickens that were crowing early in the morning so we could enjoy a longer sleep. We were treated to scrumptious breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all freshly prepared on site—truly home‑cooked food away from home. The location is perfect, with stunning mountain views, easy access to nature, and numerous hiking trails nearby. It was an unforgettable stay for our family. Nothing.

- Dylé (10/5): - Un séjour très agréable grâce à des hôtes exceptionnels. Accueil, trajets en voiture, conseils, repas, tout est effectué avec le sourire et le plaisir de partager. Anglais parlé, ce qui permet d'échanger plus facilement. De délicieux buns au yak en guise de cadeau d'adieu, merci encore. Les chambres sont confortables et offrent une belle vue sur le "mur" du dragon de Jade et la rivière en contrebas. La randonnée (uppertrail) se rejoint facilement aux différentes entrées en voiture (service proposé par la guesthouse à un prix raisonnable). Elle se fait en une journée en partant tôt (début 8h30 sur place à Naxi village arrivée 16h en s'arrêtant et en marchant tranquillement) et ne présente pas de défis physiques particuliers. En revanche, elle est vertigineuse par endroits (surtout la dernière partie après halfway house : cascade+descente). Possibilité de venir nous chercher à la fin de la rando gratuitement (5min en voiture).

- Rachel (9/5): Perfect guesthouse to rest in after hiking Tiger Leaping Gorge - The owners are just delightful and went out of their way to help us. Dorna speaks pretty good English and made us so welcome. The rooms are basic but comfy and clean. The food in the evening was excellent and dome if the best we’ve eaten. We were able to organise with them for our bags to be sent there as we walked Tiger leaping Gorge. They were just the sweetest kindest family who run this place and they have a range of good beers to try. It’s a bit of a walk from The end of TLG trail to here - but nothing to put you off in fact the views are worth it.

- Igor (10/5): Greatly recommended! - Everything, clean, comfortable and views to die for! When you wakevup, rocks are looking at you through window. This is a family business and the son Luosangdawa runs the business very well. And his cooking skills are exceptional. He picked us up from Shangri la airport (quite late) in a very comfortable car. Roads are so good, we didn't even feel the journey. Despite late arrival he cooked us a dinner from dreams: yak's stir fry. Variety of food was surprising. You MUST try his baba bread, insanely tasty and variety of his pancakes. He drove us to Tiger Leaping Gorge and picked us up after several hours. He made a tour around Shangri La/Napa Lake, Small Potala, waiting for us and advised us on local food. He is an excellent owner who looks after his guest very well. His brother's cafe is so beautiful with mind-blowing views and equipped so well; you should try the coffee there; the name is Tingtaodu cafe. Overall we had an excellent time thanks to our host.

- Michaela (10/5): Best stay in China with our “Tibetan family” - Everything. Excellent staff. Excellent value for money. Great room with amazing mountain views. Comfortable bed. Complimentary tea and water. The food was fresh and delicious. Although we are Vegan and also have severe dietary restrictions (no chillies, garlic or pepper), it wasn’t a problem at all. However, the highlight was that we were made to feel part of the family. We were invited to visit their farm high up in the mountains (Walnut Garden village) and sat around the fire for a tea with the family.

It is a family run guest house situated at the side of Yulong Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in a beautiful village very close to the famous attraction Tiger Leaping Gorge. It is perfect for outdoorsy people who are interested in hikes and it was my personal favourite hike I ever did. The family was kind and welcoming and made me feel at home. The rooms are rustic and comfortable. They have a restaurant downstairs which is very convenient and I was even shown the farm where the produce for all the food is from, meat, vegetables, fruit, nuts, eggs, the food is incredibly clean and delicious. The guesthouse also arranged cars and travel back to Lijiang for me which was very helpful for getting around. I highly recommend this stay.☺️

- Naliza (9/5): Comfy! - We had a wonderful stay at Tibet Guest House. The location is ideal — just a short walk to the old town, yet tucked away enough to enjoy a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The guest house has a charming Tibetan design that adds to the overall cultural experience. The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with all the essentials. One of the highlights of our stay was the warm hospitality from the hosts. They were very accommodating and even fulfilled our request for a Muslim-friendly meal, which we truly appreciated. There’s also a lovely common area to relax in, especially after a day of exploring. Just a small tip: it can get chilly at night, but they do provide extra blankets. Overall, a great place to stay for those looking for comfort, culture, and thoughtful service in Shangri-La.

My room had a balcony looking down at the Jinsha river in the gorge below, and the mountains rising above. Friendly people who helped me find public transport there and back (I'm a budget solo traveler). Good value for money. My lovely room was on the 2nd floor. The last flight of stairs is steep and needs a handrail.

Entirely family-run who are excellent hosts, including Cola/ 可乐 the corgi which greeted and guided us 200m away from the Guesthouse itself. Sincere conversations, great local tips, clean and comfortable rooms, homecooked meals, awesome location, departure bus tix booking and a free ride to the terminal when we left - what more can one ask on a hiking trip? We also took up their separate offer of a direct car ride from Lijiang/ Shangri-la to the start of the High TGL hike, trust us it was worth all the time saved (and major convenience if you’re starting your hike on Day 1 like us, they can take your main luggages direct to the Guesthouse.)

The view is magic, the staff are so helpful, kind and speak enough English to assist your needs. The meals are large and delicious, comfortable room and bed. They also drove me to Tina's guesthouse bus stop after checking out. It's only a few minute drive down from the end of Moddle gorge trek, well worth heading there. Very peaceful.

- Shyue (9/5): An excellent way to experience the Tiger Leaping Gorge mountains close up, living in a traditional Tibetan- Shangri-La s - Location was excellent with the most amazing views just from your room window. The owner is very kind and sincere in helping us with suggestions on walks around the area, local recommendations on best places to dine and managing my altitude sickness. Going up to the first floor can be a bit tricky.

The family are such beautiful people, and helped us with everything we needed. we stayed for 3 nights but could have stayed even longer. It is such a beautiful place to just relax and do some slow hiking. Everyone seemed to be in TLG for only 1 night and rushing the hike but you can definitely come for longer and access more parts of the trails. It is walking distance to the middle/lower gorge and a short drive to the upper gorge hikes. The food here is all cooked by the family, it is delicious and the menu is huge! You can really get anything you like. The room was very comfortable and warm, with hot water and a good heater and of course an amazing view. They have the cutest dog who loves being around people, we were always so happy to see her! The view from the terrace is spectacular! We would come back here in a heartbeat :) Thank you for being so kind and hospitable to us during out stay!

The view from bed was magnificent. Staff were extremely kind and hospitable. The food they cooked us for dinner was amazing. Do bear in mind that Tibet GH is an additional 20ish minute walk away from the end of TLG. But the peace of the area is worth the extra trek. Highly recommend!
- Thomas (10/5): Wonderful guesthouse, and a lovely family, in a beautiful place - We loved it here. As foreigners who don't speak Mandarin, it can be challenging to travel in China, but we were made to feel so welcome. They spoke enough English to help us, and were happy to have patience with us while we used translation apps back and forth. Such a lovely family! The accommodation itself was beautiful. The room was clean and the facilities were good. We had heating which was very welcome for the cold nights, and not something you find everywhere in this area of China. The view from the balcony and the rest of the guesthouse is stunning. It's just far enough away from the middle Tiger Leaping Gorge drop off point to be convenient, but also away from the crowds of busses. We stayed 5 days, which is more than most spend at Tiger Leaping Gorge, but we were so glad we did, because Tibet Guest House was perfect for it. We hiked a bit, and relaxed a bit, really taking in the beautiful surroundings. The food served was also exceptional - everything we ate was so delicious! We got a chance to try Tibetan butter tea at breakfast, which is a brilliant start to the day before hiking. The steamed buns were the best we've ever had, and the braised yak meat was to die for. Every day we enjoyed talking, and they helped arrange a drive up to do some of the high hiking route. We really felt well looked after, and that we were in the best place to get the most of the location. We really recommend this place, and even recommend staying for a bit longer than planned. Yes, you can do the main hikes in a couple of days, but taking the time to relax here is lovely, and Tibet Guesthouse is the best place to unwind and enjoy. Of all our time in China, this was our favourite place :) Nothing - we loved it here.

They welcomed us with the smile and made sure we were in the best conditions after a long hike. We highly recommend ! Finally the view the rooms are magnificent and the area is much quieter away from the big parking with all the buses. Thank you very much !

- Vai (10/5): Exceptional - Zhuoma Inn (卓玛客栈) or Tibet Guesthouse is a peaceful retreat located in the heart of Tiger Leaping Gorge, away from the hustle and bustle. It’s just a 15-minute walk from Tina’s Guesthouse (where the bus stop is), making it convenient yet tranquil. The guesthouse is run by the wonderful 小旅 (Xiao Li), who made our stay truly memorable. He not only managed the entire guesthouse but also picked us up from Tina’s, checked us in, handled the housekeeping, and even cooked for us yummy pancakes 🥞 ! He also kindly drove us to the trailhead for our hike down to the river the next day. Our room, which was in the corner of the building, offered a stunning 90-degree view of the mountain across the street—breathtaking! The place was quiet, clean, and affordable, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing stay. We highly recommend Zhuoma Inn for anyone visiting Tiger Leaping Gorge. Note: no lift. All walk ups
- Guerot (9/5): Superb - Super friendly family run guest house at the end of the tiger leaping gorge track. We finished walking at Tina's guesthouse and they pick us up there. The next morning we walked down the gorge from there on a less crowded path which was very pleasant. The family was cheerful, helpful and arranging and the view from the bedroom is stunning. Bit chilly at night but there is a good heating system.

- Noor (9/5): Superb - We had an amazing stay at Tibet Guesthouse. The owner and wife were so helpful, friendly. They help us getting a taxi to Tea Horse cafe and mini van back to Lijiang. Since we are Muslims, we asked them to cooked for us vegan foods (vege soups and egg fried rice). The views from the room was splendind, we are in awe. The mountain is just like in front of our eyes. Worth every penny.

The food offered was some of the best homestyle meals I had on my trip-- pancakes for breakfast, chicken soup (this required advance notice), and all the other dishes were amazing. There is a bit of a wait if there are other customers. They also helped drop us off at bus station at Tina's and offered to get us if we were tired after hikes. They are a 30 min walk from Tina's if you stroll leisurely. Super friendly and the hikes around Tiger Gorge were the highlights of my trip. Highly recommend staying here for an extra night to visit the middle gorge and enjoy the sights. nothing

- Jim (10/5): Wonderful stay in an amazing location - Fabulous location and views. The owner was lovely and really helpful. She allowed us to change from a suite to two double rooms in a different area for a very small additional fee. Rooms were comfortable and the food was delicious. They drove us to the starting point of our hike and collected us at the end for free and also arranged a very early taxi for us to get to the airport. Would love to stay again some time.
- Julia (9/5): Nice guesthouse with an awesome view - Great location, the view is simply awesome. We walked past many other guesthouses and this one definitely stands out. The room was clean and nice. The guesthouse offers food for a reasonable price (but count in some extra time for food to be ready). Hard to reach the host before arriving to get information etc. We could not even reach them when arriving to be picked up at Tina’s. They offer rides to the different hiking trails but for a really high price (150CNY just to Tea Horse for the upper hiking trail for a 20 minute drive - this may be standard in Tiger Leaping Gorge but is expensive compared to other services and drivers in Yunnan region)

The guest house is 15 minutes away from Tina, but it’s pretty much walkable. The best part of the Gorge is the coffee shop at the bottom, which has a superb view. Initially we booked through trip.com, but we weren’t able to contact them. So we cancelled the booking and re-booked through booking.com and reach out through booking.com. That works.

- Lingran (10/5): Amazing view and friendly owners - Good, clean room with a truly awesome view of the gorge. The guesthouse is family run and the owner and his son were both very friendly and helpful, giving us advice on our hiking itinerary, which we weren't totally sure of before arriving. The guesthouse provided all the shuttling services we needed for a reasonable price, dropping us off in the morning at tea-horse guest house and picking us up after we climbed out of the middle gorge scenic area. In addition we were able to pay to get a ride directly to Shangri-La, saving us a lot of trouble and time. The food served was quite tasty too! Cooking may take a while as there's limited staff available. That being said everything tasted good, especially breakfast!

We hiked the full upper trail in one day to stay 2 nights at Tibet GH from where you can also easily reach the bottom of the gorge on the second day. Wonderful 2 days!

My room was great with a lovely balcony overlooking the gorge. The views are stunning. The son really helped me with all my hiking needs and I hiked the lower gorge right down by the river and the next day the upper gorge. I was taken to the start of both hikes. The food at the guest house was lovely and I ate there for 2 days. They are so friendly and welcoming it was a joy to be there. I also did all my washing. Everything was perfect for me and they arranged for my onward travel to Shangri La. Everything was great

- Mark (8/5): Nice surprise - Quiet area - much more like the old Tiger Leaping Gorge and thankfully without mega-construction in every direction. You can sit on the roof and enjoy quiet nature. A short walk in the village is also possible. Food was delicious I did not realise the location - its not really the hotels fault but this place is not on the normal Trek - it is past Tinas GH and you need a car to get there. There are literally dozens of new Guest Houses all a bit confusing which is where - on the trek, down the valley who knows?

Every dish we ordered at dinner was delicious! Pancake for breakfast was yummy and comforting. Sandwiches packed to go on the day of our hike were just what we needed. Clean room, warm at night. Comfortable beds. Balcony off every room with an outstanding view of the mountains. Washing machine on site. Steps from the start of the Tiger Leaping Gorge Trail. If your doing the trail, be sure to get an excellent coffee near the sky ladder-it happens to be run by the host’s son and is delicious!

Room is equipped with room and water heater. Bed got extra mattress and electric heater too. 3. Food, real organic and fresh cooked food from western, Chinese and Tibetan cooking. Coffee and hot chocolate made by the son is great too. 4. View from the room is fantastic with a large balcony to gaze at the star. 5. Transport, owner got three cars to send us to different hiking locations and for easy pickup upon arrival. None
