Eve (9/5): Wonderful, relaxing place in the heart of laid back Puerto Viejo - This is a friendly, relaxed place in a good location with kind, helpful owners. My room came with a balcony with a hammock, which I loved. One of the best places I stayed in CR. The kitchen is a bit small and rustic but I got on okay with it.

Elizabeth (1/5): Never stayed - does not exist - Nothing - it does not exist Our shuttle bus driver had never heard of this hostel and dropped us off on the side road close to the “location” shown on the map. We wandered past the supposed location not finding it, and had asked at least 5 people in the neighborhood who had no clue of the hostel. We finally found someone who let us use their phone to call the number on the booking and a gentleman picked up after several rings to explain exactly where to find it - next to a barber shop which we had passed multiple times. Someone working to build a new hostel in the area said it used to be next to the barber but it had burned down. Why is this still listed on booking.com and why does someone still answer the phone to explain the location of a hostel that’s burned to the ground? Annoying experience after traveling for 12hrs. Please remove this hostel from your website to save future travelers from this awful experience.
