Guest Reviews
- Alanna (9/5): -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Relaxing weekend and loved being close to the beach - Good breakfast, excellent location A microwave would have been useful
- Belinda (10/5): Great Getaway - Spa bath, easy access, great location, friendly owners.
- Robert (7/5): - The bath and the living area was well laid out and comfortable as was the bedroom. Could hear people through what I can only assume was the back door, some of the condiments supplied were out of date by years.
- Geoffrey (9/5): - Charming well appointed period property that was sympathetically renovated and appropriately furnished which we greatly enjoyed Nothing ...all was excellent
- Gregory (10/5): Both stays always felt homely clean & bath is wonderful. - Both times we have stayed the property was presented beautifully clean & with some extra goodies. Maybe lounge chairs an ottoman may assist but that’s just me.
- Cornelia (10/5): Cosy, clean and beautiful accommodation - Lovely all around. Very relaxing. N/a
- Mel (10/5): Stunning interiors, luxurious facilities, only two hours from Adelaide’s CBD and located near gorgeous South Beach. Fabu - Gorgeous old cottage lovingly restored with every possible comfort and attention to detail. Beautiful 4 poster bed was so comfortable and luxurious. Huge spa bath in modern bathroom and treats left for us in the kitchen. Fantastic getaway for a couple.
- Ainslee (8/5): We had a comfortable stay with everything provided for - The property owner was very nice and quite helpful when we needed the dishes washed. The period of the house was reflective of the surrounding heritage environment. The location we great No natural light in the dining room..no actual kitchen room, no kitchen bench
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional - Walking distance to the shops, beautiful property, lovely front garden, excellent spa, short drive to the beach. I needed coasters!
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful stone cottage that stays cool even without the AC on, located within walking distance to town. The decor is lovely and comfortable. The bathroom and large spa bath were stunning. It was wonderful to sit on the front porch and watch birds fly about the front garden
- Glen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): Nice quaint little place ideal location and we’d love to return for another stay. - Spa antique furniture and bed were great. Big screen tv didn’t work at the time wasn’t a big deal but would’ve been nice. Only other thing is a sink for dishes might’ve been good too didn’t feel comfortable leaving them for the cleaning staff.
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Villano (7/5): Good -
- Big (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Great position, lovely rooms, very nice hosts. - Fantastic decor that took you back to another time while the modern bathroom was excellent.
- Jayne (9/5): Superb - Anne and Colin had thought of the little things that make your stay special.
- Gail (8/5): Great ambience with everything needed to make the stay comfortable. - The property was well located, just a short drive into central Moonta. The owners had put their heart and soul into the renovations, echoing the Victorian era. but with a modern twist. Communication prior to our arrival was excellent, clear and detailed. Generous breakfast supplies were included in the tariff and the dining area was equipped with fridge, microwave, toaster coffee machine, crockery and cutlery. There was the opportunity for a 'verandah lifestyle' with a table and chairs and a couple of comfy chairs which took advantage of the very pretty garden. We enjoyed our lunches in the sun. WiFi worked in the dining area but was less reliable in the front of the house. This was probably beyond the control of our hosts, those stone walls are super thick!
- Luisa (9/5): Relaxing wirh a touch of classic elegance. - We loved the classic heritage elegance of the rooms especially the bedroom and the spa bath.
We also appreciate the little extra things Anne and Colin provided for us. Thank you kindly. Higher pillows would have been perfect but we just used 2 pillows and it worked.
- Gregory (10/5): Hosts were great plenty of little extras to welcome you - Beautifully appointed comfortable & good location
- George (9/5): Clean, comfortable and value for money - Fantastic value for money. clean, comfortable central.. Host made us feel very welcome.. we will be back.. Nothing.. Stay was great.
- Kym (8/5): Very comfy@a great location -
- Peacock (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wendy (10/5): The cottage was cosy, relaxing and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. - The charm of the decor. Very well appointed with extra little touches to make the stay special.
Beautiful spa bath. Didn’t want for anything.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Just a beautiful and well appointed cottage. Very clean and comfortable
- Robert (8/5): We enjoyed our stay in Moonta Bay. - It was clean quiet. Needed comfortable couches in the living area.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natascha (10/5): It was a beautiful place to relax and have a good time! - The property is traditionally decorated and very romantic. Everything we needed was provided! I could see how much thought was put in the decoration and set up in the property. Nothing. All was perfect.
- Harlanandvivienne (10/5): We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. - Breakfast was very good and a good variety of drinks…hot and cold.
Bed was comfortable except the pillows could be better.
The spa was great and the bathroom really nice.
The dining room, bedroom and lounge were beautifully furnished having old world charm.
We also enjoyed sitting under the front verandah in the cool of the evening.
We appreciated the good air conditioning. Pillows
- Jared (10/5): Beautifully restored cottage - a great little break. - Loved the old restored cottage, the beautiful furniture, spa bath and we found the location convenient as we enjoy walking and it was halfway between the main street where we would walk for meals, and the beach/jetty. The improvement I could suggest is it would have been nice to have a Bluetooth speaker or something to play music on. Aside from this, the cottage is well appointed in every aspect.
- Robyn (8/5): Very good -
- Elaine (7/5): Good - The cottage was exceptional. Couldn't fault it. The roadworks out the front, the noise and dust.
- Dianne (5/5): Passable - The cottage has a lot of antiques and has been furnished in a very lush style. Makes for an interesting change. The dining room has kitchen appliances but no water plumbed in so a very odd arrangement. The chaiselounge and armchairs were uncomfortable. And it's in suburban Moonta Bay so the outlook is very boring indeed.
- Melanie (9/5): Superb -
- Julia (10/5): Wonderful character cottage - They supplied a whole loaf of bread, cereals choice, jams and vegamite, Fruit juice loads of differnt tea and coffee options. The whole cottage has a great atmosphere so many extras provided in the bathroom. Nice personal welcome message. Great grazing box option left in the fridge for when we arrived through Grazing the yorks Nothing all good. No issues.
- Vicki (10/5): Exceptional -
- Teabob (9/5): Beautiful space for a relaxing getaway! - Beautiful accommodation in a seaside village! Loved the cosy and welcoming feel as soon as we walked in the front door. Anne was extremely accommodating and helpful. Highly recommended weekend getaway! Nothing to fault!
- Maree (9/5): Our hosts spoilt us with a basket of treats. The bed and bathroom were gorgeous. Furniture in the lounge beautiful but - Spotless and warm I personally would like a sink/water in the kitchen area.
