• Alexander (10/5): Don't look elsewhere never ever. - Absolutely, the best place to stay in Joburg. By far! I know what I'm talking about, I used to live there. Just being 3 min away from the Il Contadino restaurant makes it worth it. Apart from the beauty of the place itself. Nothing, give me a break!

• Flora (10/5): A beautiful and spacious apartment that made our stay a breeze - The property was beautiful, clean and spacious. The host Mary was so helpful during both checkin and checkout, and gave us good recommendations when we needed. The area around the property was very walkable and it was easy to get to most of the touristic attractions by car. Overall, a great stay and I look forward to staying at this property again next time I am in town.

• Lessing (7/5): It was an easy stay. - The property was close to the venue. Fairly close to shops. They did not serve breakfast, which I anticipated would be part of the booking. We have stayed in similar places where breakfast was included. Therefore, I feel the charge (price) was a bit pricey. The room we had was close to a very busy road. So the car sounds driving down the road was a bit of a disturbance.

My 2 toddlers enjoyed it plus swimming was more fun for them. I like that they offer to clean for us, that’s nice . The curtains in the kitchen and sitting room are see through. I did not like that because we had no privacy in the evening as people from the outside can see . Would be nicer if a lace can be added .

• George (8/5): Sweet and short stay - The host assistant was friendly, and the place was peaceful and quiet. The location was convenient, close to a zoo and shopping centers. We had a sweet and short stay, but the sleeper couch was uncomfortable. The sleeper couch, was not comfy for my kids. I would recommend that the host invest in a better quality sleeper couch mattress, or remove the sleeper couch altogether . This would make it more comfortable for guests and would increase its overall appeal.

Mary was a courteus and considerate host, such as when she asked if I needed a heater and what time was convenient to clean the room. The room was cleaned every second day of my 8-day stay. It was peaceful and quiet, and it was comfortable to work there. Provisions were in place to combat the loadshedding. It was my second stay. Would recommend! I can't say I disliked anything. It was great value and felt like home.

• Mphoko (9/5): Great location. - The location was great to get around Johannesburg. Best value for money next to nice restaurants. The other entrance is on a busy road, and it gets a bit loud when cars pass.
• Francis (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts were amazingly forthcoming, kind and generally amazing. Communication was easy and the check-in uncomplicated. The apartment ist decorated with a lot of heart and tastfully selected art, which makes one feel very comfortably at home. The winter night was cold but there was a fireplace and a gas heater which helped warm up the rooms. We were able to leave our bags after check-out and were even able to stay longer than expected in the apartment as there weren't any bookings for that day. It suits short as well as long stays as it is fully equipped with a great kitchen. If I were back to Johannesburg I would 100% try and stay at this amazing guesthouse. An extra plus are the friendly two cats on the property :) Thank you so much!

• Maile (8/5): Nice, cosy stay with amenities a stone's throw away. - Mary her partner care about their guests. She greeted me at the gate and personally checked me in. The supplier didn't deliver 'LPG gas for the heaters, she had to get out of her plans to get a gas canister. The wi-fi is very weak...maybe get a better service provider in the area.

The location was also great for us to get to our activities with ease and without traffic. The rooms we stayed in were not the ones we had booked due to a double-booking issue. So not sure of the rooms we had booked. The rooms we stayed in were basic and functional. I wouldn’t recommend for business travellers though or people with very specific requirements of aesthetics/decor, comfort. I was travelling with children & it was unsettling to have to sleep quite far apart in different buildings. I cancelled the booing after one night and moved to another place.
