- Agata Spadaro (5/5): Hôtel fantôme - L'emplacement, situé en plein dans la rue principale de l'île, juste derrière l'embarcadère, à environ 500m de l'entrée du sentier du jaguar. Et la plage est à quelques mètres aussi, à côté de tous les magasins. Le petit-déjeuner correct. Gel douche et shampooing dans la salle de bain. Beaucoup de mésaventures. J'arrive sur place une affiche sur la façade annonçant que l'hôtel est fermé alors que ma réservation a bien eu lieu. Par change une dame sur la barque m'avait dit que casa Marbella et Thirema sont de la même famille, donc je vais à la réception de l'autre hôtel. J'explique la situation et n'ayant pas de réseau sur l'île je ne sais contacter l'hôtel. le monsieur le fait pour moi, la personne ne répond pas. Il m'emmène avec lui voir la dame responsable. On retourne à l'hôtel, me donne les clés, m'explique pour le petit dej et me demande de payer en liquide. N'ayant pas le compte juste, elle part à l'autre hôtel pour faire de la monnaie et ne revient jamais. Elle m'a complètement planté sur place. La chambre n'est vraiment pas propre, salle de bain pas propre, et le bouchon de l'évier bloqué impossible de l'utiliser. Et pleins d'insectes sur le lit à chaque fois que j'utilisais la climatisation. Aucune isolation, bruits de la rue, prenez des bouchons d'oreilles. Pour ma monnaie j'ai dû demander le lendemain à la dame qui s'occupe d'un ménage. Quand j'ai eu le wifi j'ai contacté l'hôtel par booking et le néant, via le n° de téléphone on m'a simplement répondu qu'ils étaient en déplacement. Franchement je ne recommande pas.

- Linda (7/5): - Lovely place central to Tortugero. The lady at the front desk was super friendly and helpful! The price for the accommodation was too high for what it is. The breakfast that was offered every morning was okay, but it would have been nice to get a real cappuccino (which they prepared downstairs for guests coming in from outside) instead of a simple brewed coffee. Especially regarding the price point.

Estamos muy contentos con las gestiones realizadas por Carmen, que además nos gestionó las excursiones, su disposición para ayudarte es increíble! Al momento de la reserva, también te indica cómo llegar. El desayuno muy bien, completo y muy correcto. Muchas gracias por todo!

- Mireia (10/5): Increíble experiencia - Ha sido una experiencia inolvidable quedarnos en casa thirema. Carmen nos ha atendido desde el minuto 1 con mucho cariño y mucha entrega. Durante esta estancia hemos hecho el pack de tours que ofrecen ella y su marido Angelo, y la experiencia no podría haber sido mejor. Demuestran un gran respeto hacía el parque y hemos podido aprender y observar de bien cerca el pequeño paraíso que es Tortuguero. Estamos muy agradecidas de poder haber vivido esta experiencia con dos personas tan cercanas y tan preparadas. Lo recomendamos 100 x 100!!

- Pedro (6/5): Bien para donde está, pero mejorable - Es una habitación de una casa bastante correcta Está en una calle de tierra/arena, y toda la entrada a la casa es igual, con lo que cuando llueve (muy frecuentemente) se inunda y vas por el barro. Las indicaciones no son muy claras, porque te llevan a una cafetería con el mismo nombre, donde preguntamos al personal y entonces avisan a la persona que lleva la recepción (de esa casa y de unas cuantas mas) y tuvimos que esperarla bastante rato, aunque el trato luego fue bastante bueno. El desayuno muy básico y justo, la persona que lleva el desayuno muy reservada y sin darte ninguna explicación

La habitación era un poco pequeña y ruidosa pero entendible al ser una zona local. No se puede pagar con tarjeta el alojamiento una vez allí, traer efectivo.

Sus explicaciones no pudieron ser mejores y su compromiso con las tortugas y el medio ambiente en general son admirables. Las habitaciones tenían una ubicación perfecta. Sencillas pero cómodas y limpias. Todo estupendo. Quizá el desayuno poco variado, pero correcto.

- Guest (7/5): Lo justo para un par de noches en Tortuguero - Alojamiento en el centro de Tortuguero, a menos de cinco minutos de donde deja la lancha de La Pavona. La habitación cuenta con aire acondicionado y se echa algo en falta alguna percha o donde colgar las toallas al menos. Se fue la luz en el pueblo durante un par de horas pero se resolvió rápidamente. Incluye desayuno, unos huevos revueltos con jamón york (media loncha por persona), cereales y tostadas de mermelada. Es algo escaso.

De locatie is perfect, middenin de straat met alle restaurants en dichtbij de haven. Bedden zijn goed. Via Carmen een schildpadden-nesting tour geboekt en dit ging erg soepel. Onze kamer was gehorig; deze lag onder de ontbijtzaal en naast het koffietentje. Daarnaast rook de kamer muffig, mogelijk omdat de leidingen in de badkamer niet helemaal dichtgemaakt waren. Deze zelf dichtgemaakt met ducttape maar dat heeft niet alles opgelost.

Breakfast was a lovely plate of scrambled eggs, as well as tropical fruits and juice, alongside buffet styld cereals and toast. A fabulous base for 2 nights.

- Rebecca (10/5): I would highly recommend Carmen and Casa Thirema if you are exploring staying in Tortuguero. It’s not super fancy but it - You can’t beat the location it’s right in the heart of the small and charming town. A walk to all your excursions and great local dining options. We saw wildlife all around from sloths to green parrots. The rooms (we had 2) were both a good size and comfortable with air conditioning and warm showers. There is a common area right outside the rooms which was nice for hanging out if someone needed a nap in the room. There was a shared kitchen with a refrigerator if needed, and breakfast was served every morning by the staff (fruit and eggs and coffee). But the true highlight was Carmen who met us at reception and explained all of the facilities. She had prearranged all our tours ahead of time and each tour guide met us right at reception. We did an evening turtle tour where we saw two sea turtles going through the various stages of laying eggs. Then we did an early morning canal tour and a late morning guided walk through the national park. She also helped us schedule our boat transfers from La Pavona port which I was a bit nervous about but it all was seamless because of Carmen. One of the rooms was a bit musty smelling but with all the rain they get here it’s to be expected.

La camera era molto accogliente e pulita e disponeva di condizionatore. La colazione è stata di ottima qualità e variegata. Posizione perfetta. È stato un peccato fermarsi solo per una notte!

Carmen, die Gastgeberin, ist sehr hilfsbereit und offeriert ein gutes Tourenangebot mit kompetenten Guides. Wir waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Die Dusche wurde nicht immer richtig warm.

Carmen a été très agréable et d'une grande aide que ce soit pour organiser le trajet en bateau ou trouver des médicaments pour notre fille malade. La communication-en espagnol- a été très facile et rapide. La chambre est grande et propre. La vue sur le fleuve est vraiment un point fort. Il manque une petite table de nuit pour poser les affaires. Un éclairage moins fort serait le bienvenu car les 2 ampoules diffusent une lumière blanche peu agréable. Le petit déjeuner est trop industriel à mon goût.

Las instalaciones estaban muy completas. Los sofás estaban bastante sucios y algo pegajosos. La sala de estar cuando llovió mucho, olía a desagüe.

Tuvimos la gran suerte que ella fuera nuestra guía en el desove de las tortugas y gracias a su dedicación y compromiso, pudimos formar parte de el precioso proceso. Queremos mencionar a Arturo, el guía que nos llevó a conocer más partes de Tortuguero. Es un gran profesional que nos contó todo sobre los diferentes animales que fuimos viendo. - Mordechay (8/5): סהכ מקום נעים ונקי שנתן תמורה טובה למחיר. - כרמן היתה מאוד שירותית, נתנה מידע מועיל וסגרה לנו סיורים עם אנג׳לו שהיה מדריך מעולה. ארוחת הבוקר היתה טובה מאוד הגישה אל הדירה לא נגישה למזוודה נגררת ( שביל לא מרוצף) חסרים היו מקומות לתליית מגבות. כששהינו במקום לא היה לנו אינטרנט- הוסבר שיש תקלה במקום האירוח

- Mar (9/5): Estancia muy agradable - Las habitaciones están muy bien y cuentan con aire acondicionado. La cama y el baño están muy bien. El porche y el jardín son un espacio cómodo y agradable. La casa cuenta con un salón y una cocina compartida que están bien. El desayuno está muy rico. La chica de recepción y Katherin, que se encarga del desayuno, son muy simpáticas y atentas. Un verdadero placer tratar con ellas. La habitación cuenta con poco espacio para poner la maleta o colgar ropa. Está bien ubicado pero no tiene vistas al río ni salida al mar, aunque está todo muy cerca.

- Stéphanie (8/5): Lieu exceptionnel hors du temps - Très bien situé juste derrière la rue principale du village. Chambre confortable, très propre. Personnel très sympathique. Qualité des produits du petit déjeuner.
- Heike (8/5): - Die Lage war zentral und alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und hilfreich. Frühstück gab es unter anderem Rührei und Orangensaft. Zimmer waren sauber. Sehr hellhörig, aber das ist auf der ganzen Insel so.

- Barraza (9/5): Sorprendente - La atencion del personal, en especial la anfitriona Carmen. Estuvo siempre atenta a informar y solucionar cada detalle de la estadia incluso antes y durante la misma......una genia. En la habitacion "lapa verde" el baño esta muy mal diseñado/distribuido, el lavamano no se puede utilizar.
- Sergio (9/5): Genial - Alojamiento muy bueno para quedarse en Tortuguero. Situado en la calle principal, cerca de supermercado. Tranquilo, limpio, amplio, cómodo. Buen aire acondicionado. Todo bien.
- Hagit (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at Casa Thirema! The hotel is in a great location, right in the village, close to everything but still peaceful. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. What really stood out was the personal attention—Carmen was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home, taking the time to explain everything with care. On the day of our departure, they even prepared an early breakfast for us, well before the usual breakfast time, which was so thoughtful. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Tortuguero! Everything was excellent!
- StevenHille (10/5): Super Unterkunft in Tortuguero. - Super super nettes Personal, solides Frühstück, sehr saubere Zimmer mit täglicher Reinigung. Wir waren im Haus in Strandnähe. Dort teilen sich drei Zimmer ein Wohnzimmer und eine Küche. Das war super, so hatten wir eine eigene kleine Casa. Sehr sehr empfehlenswert. Wir haben uns extrem wohl gefühlt und wurden noch nie so toll in Sachen Ausflüge und Aktivitäten von der Rezeption beraten. Alles war bestens.

- Nathalie (9/5): Prima! - Heel nette en verzorgde kamer. Bed eerder klein. Gezamenlijke keuken en living is leuk en ruim. Prima in het centrum, op wandelafstand van eetgelegenheden en boot vervoer. Alles ligt op een boogscheut. Hanen moet je erbij nemen in de omgeving, ‘s morgens. Carmen helpt prima bij het boeken van tours of andere tips. Een aanrader.
