- Joseph Guy (10/5): Loved it and will be a return customer!!! - Very safe neighborhood with a lot of restaurants close. Really enjoyed the restaurant attached to them, was an everyday client!! The only slight thing is no air conditioning, but they have fan so it’s not big issue.

The staff was very profesional about the instructions, guidance, they allowed us to check in early for a small fee, this helped us a lot in our trip to Bucaramanga. The area around offers a great-safe atmosphere within just walking distance. The hot water shower was a plus 🙂 thanks x

The pictures showed an outdoor sitting area but there isn’t one. There’s just a small sitting area with a TV and an old man that apparently lives there as a manager or something would sit there and watch TV at night. I was basically relegated to my room the entire time because I didn’t want to sit with the old man and watch his Spanish programs. Also some other guy that worked at the ceviche restaurant next door lived there. It didn’t feel like a hostel. Also, the name says Urban Hostel Bar but there’s no bar. I traveled with my small dog and he doesn’t shed and makes less mess than a human and was charged $25 extra “so they could clean up after him”. That was excessive seeing as he doesn’t make any mess at all.

- Ricardo (10/5): excelente opción en Bucaramanga por relación precio/servicio/ubicación ! preciosa ciudad !!!! - la decoración del sitio es bastante ecléctica y se ve muy bien ! muy buenas y cómodas habitaciones, con TV por cable, ventilador ( a veces hace mucho calor en la ciudad ); colorido e inusual...en general agradable; si bien hay un bar en el frente del edificio, cierran sus puertas a las 9:00 pm, por lo que se puede tener un sueño tranquilo, excelente vecindario, cerca de un gran superpercado, tiendas de ropa, restaurantes, bares y vias importantes ( la carrera 33 ), para fáciles desplazamientos en transporte público a todas las partes interesantes de la ciudad; ubicado en un excelente vecindario, con mucha vegetación...super-recomendado !!!!!! propuse a la administración tener una greca con café disponible, especialmente en la mañana...muy amablemente me respondieron que lo tendrán disponible en breve....

- Samuel (9/5): Well situated, good quality hostel for short to long stays in the city - Comfy communal area with a good size and functioning kitchen. Clean bathrooms with hot water option for showers. Bedroom was a decent enough size, but could use some more space for clothes (maybe a hanging rail as limited additional space) but for the price and location we didn't need much. Location is one of the reasons we chose the place, it's 10 minutes walk to the central commercial area this side of town and has lots of food and drink options nearby. Perfectly safe to walk around, with some good parks nearby too Wifi wasn't the best for working (particularly for video calls), we used a local coworking space called color working which is only 10 minutes walk. They also didn't have any filtered water available to re-fill our water bottles.

- Abi (8/5): Good space, but not as described. - The lady who looks after the property is genuinely friendly and helpful. We arrived in the morning and were allowed into our room early. Note that there is no onsite reception, so you need to message the hostel in advance if you are arriving out of hours. Having hot water was a treat after 2 weeks on the coast with cold showers! The room was nice and had plenty of space. We don't usually use the TV, but it was a nice plus and has Netflix, Amazon etc installed. Some of the facilities are not as described in the listing - I think that they might refer to the Urban Hostal in San Gil. Eg. There is no outdoor space, activities, bar, breakfast, bending machine etc. There are rooms with a small common area.
- Anthony (9/5): Cool, hip, great place to stay. I highly recommend. - This place is rad!!! The art and vibe are really cool. Also, the woman who runs it was so nice, especially since I arrived very late. And since I hadto leave very late in the evening, she was more than accommodating in allowing me to leave my bag there. The room was wonderful (great shower) as was the common areas and the neighborhood was really central and wonderful as well, and just a short walk from the central market. It also seems like they are making improvements, which will only make this place better. Highly recommend. The room had no window, so it was a little stuffy, but the fan works great and is really strong and cooling.

Nice neighborhood with restaurants, cafes, parks, markets boutiques etc….Large clean and quiet room with shelving, lighting and TV. Large functional bathroom with hot water. The sitting area was nice and practical. I really enjoyed the digital access to the hostel and prompt communication with the hostess. Lastly, best valued property in my three month So. America tour. The room got a little stuffy on warm days without the fan.

There were so many restaurants around the hostal, actually there was a ceviche bar right next to it as well. The place is safe, we had no problem walking to the restaurants at night. In general, everything was nice. Maybe the only thing I didn't like was the shower in our room. We chose a room with a private shower room. The shower only had cold water in our room, but has hot water in a public shower room. I personally like hot water, so I used the public one. If I had known in the beginning, I might have chosen the other type of room.

I would come back to Bucaramanga just to stay here. The host is so kind and helpful, they're easily contactable via WhatsApp and they were clear with us despite the language barrier.

- Tay (1/5): Prison-esque, mosquito-rampant hostel but quirky at least - Cool decorations and nice receptionist (?) I’ll get the facts down. The rooms have no ventilation (a jail cell has more). There is no hot water. There is no hand soap. Mosquitoes bite you while you take your cold shower. There is no door for the bathroom so people sitting in the living room can see you while you’re on the toilet and while you’re naked in the shower through the cracks in the folding door. There is no bar here. The kitchen cabinets are falling apart. There are fewer than 10 rooms here. Tons of mosquitos are in the living room (which also doesn’t have ventilation)

Maybe a bit hot in the room, even with a ventilator. Also, a lot of noise coming from the outside, bad isolation for ambient noice.

- Jia (8/5): Cool hostel - The hostel is well located if you're keen on doing shopping. It's close to many restaurants, a mall, clothing stores, supermarkets, and a park, all within walking distance. The hostel also has a unique style and a chill lounging area. The room I was in wasn't very well-ventilated and had no natural light as there were no windows. It might feel stuffy sometimes.
