• Nicolas (9/5): Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir - Très bel établissement, le propriétaire était très sympathique et de bon conseil. Les chambres sont très belle et bien agencés. L'établissement dispose d'un local à vélo. Il est situé à env 5 min à pied de la vieille ville dans un quartier très calme.

• Thomas (8/5): Sehr gutes Frühstück, sehr freundliches, aufmerksames Persolnal, sehr gute Lage für Ausflüge - Das Frühstück entsprach voll und ganz unseren Erwartungen. Alle Produkte inkl. Kaffee, Tee, selbstgemachte Marmaladen + Frischkäse, Semmeln etc. sind in Bioqualität. Die Unterkunft liegt unweit des Bahnhofs von wo aus Basel sehr gut erreichbar ist. Die Tiefgarage liegt dem Bahnhof und der Unterkunft und kann über das Ambrosia Guesthouse gebucht und abgerechnet werden.

• Michael (10/5): Extremely friendly and comfortable stay at Ambrosia - Anthony was super friendly, quick to communicate and answer questions. The location of the guesthouse in Rheinfelden is very good, close to the station and within walking distance of the old town centre. Great breakfast and all day / night honesty bar and snacks. Definitely recommend if you are looking to stay near Basel (trains are only 15mins or so into the centre from here). The local area is fabulous too with lovely walks along the Rhein and the historic centre of Rheinfelden to explore.

• Corrine (10/5): Guesthouse Ambrosia is definitely heavenly! - The Ambrosia Guesthouse completely exceeded my expectations! Check-in with co-owner Anthony was quick and friendly, with great tips for visiting the beautiful medieval town of Rheinfelden. The room is attractively decorated with many little unexpected extras, such as bedside charging stations with multiple ports and high quality toiletries (soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner). The room was clean and comfortable, with blinds and dark curtains for a good sleep. The location is excellent, being only 5 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes walk to the old town. The neighbourhood is quiet, clean and safe. In the morning we enjoyed a lovely fresh breakfast, much of which is homemade by the charming Nathalie and Anthony. The breakfast area is bright and charming, with many lovely little treats and unlimited coffee! We will definitely return again next year when visiting Art Basel, which is easily reached by train and tram from this location.

• Erica (10/5): A fantastic place to stay where I would absolutely return to. - Rheinfelden is a wonderful town, well connected but also top notch in itself for history, events and proximity to hikes. The property and owners make it extremely simple for us to check-in, have a kitchen available at all times, ask questions but also have privacy. The beds are super comfortable and there’s all the amenities you could need. There was absolutely nothing we didn’t like!

Try it! - A very positive experience in all aspects, the host was very welcoming and attentative, the room was fine and the beds excellent. New building, no noice from nearby railway. Nothing much. The concept of this place is sustainability and I understand that eggs and bacon in not part of the concept. Good coffee and the breakfast was excellent anyway.

• Dominic (10/5): No hesitation in recommending and happily stay there again - Everything has a rock-solid feel about it but not in a cold way, actually very comfortable and peaceful in every way. Breakfast was great with home-made jam and Bircher Müsli. Rheinfelden (my meetings were actually in Basel and Neuhausen) turned out to be a very charming old town with swimming on islands in the Rhine accessible from the bridge. Happily stay there again and delighted to recommend. Kind of an industrial-strength, uncharismatic looking building on the outside which does not bode well for the interior. However, those forebodings are completely unfounded, industrial strength - yes...but completely comfortable!
