(8/5): Weiterempfehlung unsererseits - freundlich, fair, menschlich - Lage an Einstiegsstelle Skibus (Bus ist da noch leer!), Küche - Chef kocht, freundliche Frau des Hauses, Familienbetrieb, Aufteilung des Appartments, guter Kaffee, Eis-Palatschinken, Hirschbraten, Kaspressknödelsuppe, Lachs an Ofenkartoffel, Hausspieß, faire Preisgestaltung, danke fürs Borgen des Rucksacks, gutmütige alte Hundedame, Gästekarte bot gratis geführte Skitour (Ranger Markus hat seine Sache gut gemacht) und auch weitere interessante Ausflüge wie zB Sterne-Beobachtung oder das kleine aber feine Museum im Ort, bei Buchung Frühstück/Abendessen wird Appartment 2x während der Woche geputzt und geputzt wurde tadellos; Nicht gefallen wäre übertrieben - deshalb idR mit Relativierung, wo für uns weniger relevant - bitte als Anregung verstehen: Kein Neubau aber gepflegt, fein dekoriert und sukzessive modernisiert; Speisenauswahl aufgrund der maximalen Gästezahl sowohl am Morgen als auch am Abend überschaubar - Qualität der Zubereitung aber sehr gut und am Abend meistens zusätzlich ein Tagesgericht abseits der Karte. Leider nur einmal in der ganzen Woche außer den täglich gleichen Gebäck-Sorten zusätzlich Vollkornbrot zum Frühstück - da wäre mehr Variabilität leicht umsetzbar. Süßspeisen wie Kuchen oder Krapfen beim Frühstück haben im Gegensatz zum restlichen Speisenangebot nicht überzeugt; extrem trockene Raumluft wohl bedingt durch das Heizungssystem; Polster in den Betten haben absolut nicht überzeugt; Mehr konkretes Wissen über das Skigebiet oder Routentips bzgl. Winterwanderwegen bzw. Skitouren (man erhofft sich ja doch immer den einen oder anderen Geheimtipp) abseits der Leistungen der Gästekarte, die ohnehin jeder nachlesen kann, wären hilfreich bzw. erhofft gewesen.

En het ontbijt ‘s ochtends was ook uitstekend. Er is geen lift. En hoewel we aanvankelijk een kamer op de derde verdieping zouden hebben geboekt, kregen we er één op de tweede, wat erg aardig was van het management (maar het was ook erg rustig). Dus toch nog twee trappen op met een zware koffer.

La posizione è meravigliosa, struttura completamente immersa nel verde con una vista mozzafiato sul paese e sul ghiacciaio. Abbiamo prenotato un appartamento senza colazione, ma abbiamo cenato un paio di volte al ristorante che offre pietanze tipiche molto buone. Letti comodi, appartamento pulitissimo con tutti i confort. • Ioan (9/5): Absolut empfehlenswert! - Das Hotel-Restaurant Sonnblick ist sehr gemütlich und liegt in wunderschöner Lage – perfekt für einen erholsamen Urlaub. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die freundlichen Inhaber, die mit viel Herzlichkeit für ihre Gäste da sind. Auch die Küche am Abend ist ausgezeichnet, das Essen war sehr lecker. Rundum ein perfekter Aufenthalt – absolut empfehlenswert! Keine Wünsche offen!

First of all, I would like to point out that the room was extremely clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the center, the church, nature and mountains. It seems that the hotel is owned by the family that runs it and it is clear that they do it with all their heart. The breakfast was also excellent. The breakfast served savory and sweet dishes. I would like to note that the hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the center of town. I don't think any hotel in the center of town has such a good location in terms of views as this hotel. All in all, excellent accommodation. This is truly a great place to stay and we would return (and I hope we will). Any criticism we might write here would be purely motivated by personal preferences and would be nitpicking. So we have nothing to complain about

• Luděk (10/5): - Skvělá lokalita v soukromí s výhledem přes údolí na celou vesnici s typickým impozantním kostelem a v pozadí na zasněžené okolí Grosslockneru. Vyzkoušeli jsme pohádkový apartmán Shareck, který je krásně prosvětlený a prakticky vymyšlený. Výborná je také restaurace v přízemí. U hotelu ferrata a lanové centrum, které nabízí přímo majitelé ubytování. Dětské hřiště má dvě houpačky, hrad a hlavně mlýnské kolo s malou říčkou.

• Jacqueline (10/5): Picture postcard location and friendly owners. - We stayed at this delightful family run hotel for one night during a road trip along the Grossglockner Alpine Road. It was a perfect stopover point. The setting is picture postcard pretty and the whole ambience of the place is tranquil and relaxing. We were made to feel very welcome by the friendly owners and were exceptionally well looked after in the evening by our lovely waitress. We had booked a table for dinner and breakfast was included in our room rate. The food in the evening and for breakfast was very good - in the morning our eggs were cooked to order. All in all it was just what we needed and we wouldn't hesitate to go back there.

• Cookosrider (6/5): Όμορφη τοποθεσία - Είναι ένας ξενώνας σε ένα απίθανο μέρος, πολύ γραφικό. Το βρίσκεις έυκολα στο τέλος του δρόμου και έχει άνετο χώρο για να παρκαρεις τη μηχανή σου εκεί. Τα δωμάτια είναι μεγάλα, αλλά στα πάνω που ήμασταν εμείς λόγω της κλίσης της στέγης υπήρχαν δυσκολίες στη μετακίνηση στο χώρο. Το μπάνιο άνετο και καθαρό. Επίσης στο ισόγειο λειτουργει μπαρ (η νεαρή που δουλέυιε εκεί ήταν εξαιρετικά ευγενική και μας βοήθησε να επιλέξουμε ποτό) από όπου πήραμε μπύρα το βράδυ και καθήσαμε στην αυλή. Το πρωινό δεν το ακουμπήσαμε στην κυριολεξία! Ουτε κάν τον καφέ.. Πέρα από το γεγονός ότι υπήρχαν πάνω στα φαγητά άπειρες μύγες για τις οποίες παραπονεθήκαμε και η οικοδεσπότης μας είπε πως δε μπορεί να κάνει κάτι, μας έβαλε να φάμε σε τραπέζι που είχαν πριν καθίσει άλλοι το οποίο δεν είχε μαζέψει ενώ υπήρχαν πολλά άλλα διαθέσιμα - προφανώς για να μη λερώνει άλλο από τα υπόλοιπα τραπέζια. Δεν το έχω ξαναδεί αυτό, το θεωρώ φοβερή αγένια στον επισκέπτη. Απλά σηκωθήκαμε και φύγαμε χωρίς να φάμε. Επίσης δεν υπάρχει ασανσέρ οπότε το να μεταφέρεις τα πράγματα σου στον τρίτο όροφο ήταν δύσκολο.

• B. 71 (10/5): - Das Hotel ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet, die Wirtsleute und Mitarbeitenden sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Doppelzimmer mit Balkon sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und man hat einen wunderbaren Blick auf Heiligenblut. In der Nacht ist es herrlich ruhig! Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet alles, was das Herz begehrt, abends haben wir hervorragend a la carte auf der Terrasse gegessen. Wir können das "Sonnblick" wärmstens empfehlen! -

• Paul (4/5): - The staff were great, but when I booked the hotel many months ahead of time I told them that we were limited to doing stairs and requested to be located on the lowest floor possible. Instead they booked us on the highest floor possible, which was frustrating. They knew we were coming for at least 4 months. They could have set aside lower floor rooms for us. It was extremely painful for us to do the stairs due to my dad being 82 and myself having bone cancer in the hip. It was unfortunate as I have several friends planning a different trip and will recommend another hotel in the same town that's more accommodating.

• Sidra (10/5): Beautiful location with beautiful owners and the first stop for ski bus that means empty spots to hold your skis when yo - The host Claus and his wife Claudia are an amazing couple. They took care of us and helped us stay there comfortably. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast and we will definitely come back in summer. Nothing, everything was perfect.

• Ilona (10/5): Hier kann man sehr gut Urlaub machen! - Bei Fam. Brandstätter kann man sehr gut Urlaub machen. Das Haus liegt abseits der Straße, ruhig, die Zimmer sind perfekt ausgestattet - man könnte sich sehr gut selbst versorgen, wenn man es will - es ist alles vorhanden. Wir lassen uns im Urlaub aber lieber verwöhnen und haben das hervorragende Frühstück und auch das Abendessen im Restaurant genossen. Fam. Brandstätter war uns ein guter Berater bei der Vorbereitung unserer Wanderungen. Und noch ein besonderes Dankeschön an Fam. Brandstätter - auf Grund der außergewöhnlichen schlechten Wetterlage am Saisonende war das Haus nur wenig besucht, aber am hervorragenden Service hat es nicht gefehlt. Danke!

Een prachtig uitzicht richting Heiligenblut, een eigen balkon een ruime slaapkamer, een goed uitgeruste keuken in het appartement. Verder als je geen zin hebt om te koken kun beneden eten in het restaurant op het terras of binnen. Het huis is qua bouw en qua inrichting met oog voor detail ingericht en erg verzorgd. De eigenaren werken ontzettend hard en zijn evengoed vriendelijk en gemoedelijk. Dank! Niets

Owners Klaus and Claudia and the rest of staff very friendly and helpful. Very nice location, close to Großglockner Hochalpenstraße. Nice view from the terrace. Great food at the in-house restaurant. Free parking at the location. Internet a bit slow - yet most people come here for nature and sightseeing, not for remote office work. :)
