• Philip (9/5): Excellent quiet comfortable choice near everything - Great location in a quiet neighborhood, just a 10 to 15 minute easy walk to the main street with lots of restaurants and bars and shops and the only 3 banks in town. Be aware that it is not the easiest place to find using Google maps, which says you're there when you're at the Lisboa Bar. Go up the little alley just after that on the left and it's the first gate on the left. Agustin will no doubt be waiting for you as we was for us, providing he knows when you're coming. The house has many security features and there is room to park your car safely. The pool was not available due to the season, but we were told that up front. The bedrooms are large, spacious and very clean with rustic Alpine style furniture. Beds were very comfortable and the shower had lots of space and good water pressure and plenty hot water. Everything was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked. There's a good sized dining table and chairs. Our host Agustin was wonderful. He showed us where everything was and how it worked when we checked in. He was very friendly, hospitable, helpful, gave us lots of good tips about the area, and was very kind. When the weather turned cold, he turned on the heaters, so we returned to a lovely warm home, after asking us if that was OK. Communication in general was excellent and he responded quickly any time we had a question. There is a large living area with comfortable chairs and a TV that apparently had all manner of channels, including many in Englush, as well as Netflix, but we didn't come to VGB to watch TV. As an aside, the Macro bank in town was the only one that allowed us to take put more than $50 at a time using our US cards and all three charge a ridiculous 10%+. The others claim we could take out up to $75 but then wouldn't let us. They also charge around $6 fee regardless of whatever small amount you extract as I discovered when I accidently forgot to add all the necessary zeros. No complaints.
