Guest Reviews
- David (10/5): A lovely place that has an amazing homelike atmosphere - We had the upper apartement (Casa 3) and were amazed by the personal and cozy touch of the interior. Our four nights at CasaAndina felt the most homelike of our entire long trip through Patagonia and we would have loved to stay longer.
The kitchen was far better equipped than at any cabaña we stayed in before, pretty much like in your regular home. The appliances in the bathroom worked well (good shower pressure and temperature + underfloor heating!). There were pretty little ornaments all over the place. Parking outside on the streetside was always available. The apartment had a thermostat so no wooden oven like in many other places that far south.
The hosts are very friendly and around for a chat - they know the surrounding outdoors extremely well and run a serious small mountaineering company (think bespoke climbing training and mountain guidance from absolute beginner to multi day expeditions onto Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy).
Our apartment felt like the optimal place to stay for a longer while, especially when you want to cater and cook for yourself. The personal touch of the entire space made it feel very special - particularly when juxtaposed to all the other generic apartements that sprung up in El Chaltén. Nothing really.

- Teresa (9/5): Great little apartments and great hosts! - Pedro and Laura are warm and helpful hosts. Pedro reached out several times before our trip to offer advice and answer questions. The units are clean and well decorated and the kitchens are stocked so that we could prepare breakfast every morning. The living room/dining rooms are small, but we were out most of the day for hiking and we ate out every evening, so they served our needs for the most part.

- Rachel (10/5): Fantastic stay - Casa Andina was a great place to stay. The house was really nice and comfortable and was in a great location. Laura and Pedro were really friendly and welcoming, they even brought toys for our son to play with, which we really appreciated!

- Joanne (10/5): Homey, cheerful place in a great location - We had the upstairs room (#3?) and it was very comfortable. It had a large bed in a bedroom with lots of shelves for storage, a nice bathroom, a great kitchen and seating area, and also an area just inside the front door with hooks and a bench to store our hiking boots and jackets. Then there was another entire floor upstairs with three more beds that we didn’t need. The decor was cheery and interesting, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We stayed four nights. The bedroom and sitting area are quite dark with inadequate lighting, but was okay to see our Kindle and iPhones.
- Li (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (10/5): Spacious Casa close to town - Wonderful stay - very comfortable and spacious Casa. Small kitchen with everything needed for basic meals. Wish we could have stayed longer - really enjoyed having visits from the friendly kitty!

- Diego (10/5): Amazing experience! - Very comfy apartment, excellent location, and it has everything you need to prep your meals for the day. Laura and Pedro add an immeasurable value to your stay with their guidance and recommendations on hikes, restaurants and more. We loved it and would definitely stay again every time we visit El Chaltén.
- Maxwell (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect for our visit to El Chaltén. The hosts Pedro and Laura were amazing. They provided great recommendations on where to go for food and drinks. They are very knowledgeable and answered all questions we had during our stay.
- Oliver (10/5): Everything u need at a convenient location. - Great location in a quiet side street connected to the main road where restaurants and stores are. Well kept apartment with personal touch. Super nice hosts who offer home made food, advice, etc. great and affordable place to stay for longer with a small kitchen and beautiful surroundings in El Chalten.
- Michelle (9/5): Nice stay & nice owners - Room was very cosy and nice decorated. I loved it. Bed and shower were good. Owners provided us with a lot of good tips and were nice and helpful. We missed a bit of furniture in the kitchen (only one spoon for example) and something comfortable to sit down after a heavy day trekking.
