Camila (9/5): Quem dera ser a dona do local, sensacional - Espaço, localização, infraestrutura, conforto, silêncio, tranquilidade, paisagem, modernidade, equipamentos, tudo isso maravilhoso! Café da manhã igual todos os dias, sem variedade, e não tem limpeza diária da acomodação, sentimos falta disso. De resto, tudo excelente!

Juliana (10/5): Adorei minha estadia , com certeza voltarei ! - Gostei do conforto , das instalações que a hospedagem oferece, a piscina com borda infinita para o mar , é simplesmente uma experiência ímpar , e por ter menos quartos nessa pousada , acaba ficando mais exclusivo em comparação a hotéis com número grande de hóspedes. Peter (9/5): Modern apartment with sweeping views in area of natural outstanding beauty - We had apartment Pontal. The choice of apartment is important, see further below. We had sweeping views over the bay of Arraial do Cabo, use of the BBQ in the garden, a sky full of stars, cool breezes in the evening, direct access (via some steep steps) to a small viewing deck on the water-side where you can see turtles in the super clear waters (note: access for swimming is a bit difficult/impossible). The property is along the way to one of the more popular beaches in Brazil with incredibly white sand and deep blue waters, at less than 10min slow drive, so if you get up early, you should be able to get good parking. As a guest to Ioda, you get free access to the gated area, and you don't have to worry about the 150 cars limit to the area. That is a bit plus as well. The waters around Arraial are full of sea life, with whales from June-August, basking sharks and hammerhead sharks, dolfins and pinguins. We saw turtles, which was amazing enough for us. There are also at least 3 nice looking restaurants nearby Ioda (which we did not use). And you can order some drinks and wines at Idoa from a card. For the rest, you are advised to bring your own things from the supermarket in town (15 min drive). Inside, we loved the shower with open views (don't worry, you can also pull the curtain if you don't like this idea). The kitchen has everything you need, the bed is great, the air-conditioning is strong, parking on the road side is easy. Fresh Breakfast is prepared at the upper house with much care and love. Staff are super friendly and responsive. We got a swimming mask, insider tips for accessing the beaches and did our buggy tour via their contacts at very good rate. Although we loved our stay, and rank it highly, there is room for improvement. Ioda Guesthouse has two very separate buildings, the upper building, with about 3-4 apartments near the pool and breakfast area and a (much) lower building with another 4 apartments. Each apartment is very different in layout and facilities, some have a mini-pool, some have better views, others have more privacy, some have more shading. A road access separates the buildings. To go from the lower building to the upper building, you have to either take the car or walk quite a few steps up. If you know it and you are fit, you will not mind. But if you don't know it or you are not so fit in the morning, you might be disappointed on arrival. For us, this meant we never used the upper pool area, because it was too clumsy to walk up. Also, Pontal apartment has no outside shading and no lounge beds. It has a a small garden table and 2 chairs. This means you can only sit outside at night, because during the day it is way too hot. We did not mind too much, because we were away during the day. Also, Pontal kitchen space has no air conditioning (other apartments do have airconditioning in the kitchen space). In combination with the glass front, this means that this area gets really hot during the day. So, inform yourself well about the apartment you choose to manage expectations :)

Rod_Muller (10/5): Com certeza voltarei e ainda vou levar amigos e parentes. - Recepção na porta da pousada e ajuda para levar as bagagens ao quarto. Quarto com ar condicionado e ventilador silenciosos, cama e travesseiros muito confortáveis. Cozinha com todos os apetrechos em perfeito estado. Varandão com espreguiçadeira, sofá e chuveiro foi usado, pela manhã, tarde e noite. Banheiro espaçoso com toalhas de banho, rosto e piscina. Staff muito presente, sempre com sorriso no rosto e pronto para responder perguntas. Café da manhã variado servido em horários convenientes. Escrevo observações do que não gostei, mas são insignificantes diante da minha avaliação. Por exemplo, o acesso aos quartos é íngreme, mesmo se não é incômodo para mim. A TV fica em ângulo estranho, mas quem precisa de TV com aquela vista. Não há vaga para todos os carros, embora exista amplo espaço na calçada.

Ricardo (8/5): Muito bonito. - O espaço da acomodação é muito bom. O silêncio também soma, além do visual da baía dos anjos. Dá pra ir a pé ao pontal do Atalaia (30 a 40 minutos). Poucas opções de alimentação e souvenires no entorno. Muito íngreme, inviável para pessoas com problemas de locomoção ou articulares. A piscina estava mal cuidada. Tive a infelicidade de faltar energia de 21h do dia anterior ao meu check-out até a saída, impossibilitando acesso e fotos da varanda em razão da persiana ser acionada por motores e não funcionar. Café da manhã básico, com opções limitadas. Serviço de quarto precisa de melhoria.

But the price is too high for what is offered. - The view, the balcony, the studio was very well equipped with all the devices we needed to stay comfortable for a whole week. Franco, our host, was very receptive and helpful. The pool was not clean during our stay and we can’t use it for three days including the weekend. And even after the staff cleaned it, the pool was still dirty with moss. And the pool was a very important item of choice when we decide to stay at the facility.
