• Ester (9/5): We hebben een heerlijk ontspannen en relaxed verblijf gehad. - Hibiscus Beach House voelt een beetje als thuiskomen. De sfeer is rustig en relaxed. Met iedere ochtend een heerlijk ontbijtje wat klaar staat! Keuken & keukenspullen zijn niet echt geschikt/voldoende om uitgebreid te koken.
• Brendan (10/5): A wonderful, well located, fantastically run, cute B&B, - This was a relaxing oasis, on a really lovely island, serving as a fantastic base to explore the island. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The outside patio was a great place to kick back, and it was a treat to jump in the pool, to cool off, after returning.from the amazing beaches on offer. Nothing.
• Christina (6/5): Eh. - Loved the location. Loved the pool and outside area, very pretty. Not a fan of the owners making themselves accessible to our room at their leisure. We came back from being out a couple times and found our sliding door open, front door open, all while guests are just walking around with all our stuff in view and accessible. Our first day, the owner makes sure to remind you to not leave the A/C on when gone/outside, understandable, ya? Well our first day we forgot, stepped out to the pool, and she again helped herself inside our room to turn off the A/C as I was already walking back to turn it off after she commented on it. She did not allow us late checkout. She also did not respond to all texts. Shes nice. Place is nice. But I wouldnt come back here again. The only reason I even came to make a review is because I got an email that she REDUCED the room price by over 100+ (we were there early April), so I am not sure if that means shes pocketing the difference, or we are getting a refund, which I seriously doubt.

Restaurantes e mercado perto facilitou demais nossa logística. Quarto ok. Chuveiro “ok” Achei o café da manhã fraquíssimo! Foi o pior café da manhã de hospedagem que já tivemos. Não tinha opção de doce, poucas frutas. Café eles que serviam. Não tínhamos como repetir. Eu sempre como ovos mexidos todos os dias. E lá simplesmente só teve um único dia… Nos outros, não tinha. Era o menu que “dava na telha”… Não podíamos escolher nada. Foi infelizmente muito decepcionante o café.

Diana and Martin were very accommodating. Nick was a great and very helpful. The room we stayed in was a little small. We would definitely upgrade next time we stay.

The standard matches that of a top hotel, even though the property is not formally a hotel. A wonderful place – we spent an amazing time there as a couple. It’s a perfect base for exploring the whole island of Curaçao, while still being peaceful and quiet. The beach is close by, yet when half the island showed up for a Saturday party at the nearby beach, it remained calm and relaxing at the guesthouse, allowing us to rest and recharge. • Viktoria (10/5): A lovely and helpful family, with a beautiful home in close proximity to the most important facility - This is a family own hotel and the family was so lovely and helpful during our stay. We got help with renting a car, tips for the best places to visit during our stay and transportation to the airport. The placement was just perfect, with only two minutes walk to the nearest beach, super market and restaurants. The bus stop was right outside the hotel, where you can take the bus to Willemstad or Mambo Beach. It is also only 30 min walk to Tugboat beach, where you can dive and look at a ship wrack. We rented the studio apartment, which was only two months old. Everything looked new and fresh. this gave us some privacy and we could use the kitchen to make breakfast at our porch. The garden was also so nice and peaceful. The floors could have been cleaner, though I know it is hard to keep clean floors when we are dragging sand in from the beach.

• Wouter (10/5): Heerlijk verblijf, gastvrijheid hoog in het vaandel. - Heerlijk verblijf gehad, gastvrijheid is hier hoog in het vaandel! Je bent hier in goede handen, het ontbijt is keurig verzorgd, de binnentuin is schitterend en een fijne plek om te ontspannen. Locatie is top, loopafstand naar het strand, restaurants, supermarkt. Ik had hier graag nog wat langer gebleven. Bedankt voor alles :)

Arrêt de bus juste en face permettant de se rendre facilement à la capitale. Propriétaires et personnel sympathiques offrant un excellent service. Tout était parfait !!!

• Margaret (10/5): - Diana and Martin are exceptional hosts. Hibiscus Beach House was safe, clean, quiet, and comfortable for a solo female traveler. Diana and Martin helped me with my luggage (dive gear), and gave excellent recommendations. Breakfast was YUMMY - and I also could make breakfast in my room, an unexpected pleasure. I really enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning. I spent most of my time diving or with friends. I went to Jan Thiel beach for dinner a couple of times - a 3 minute walk. I did not go in the water or use Jan Thiel beach. It was very pretty and clean.

• Johannes (1/5): We have been very disappointed about the behavior of the hosts. - We cannot write anything about Hibiscus because we got a completely different appartment 10 minutes far away. The beach ist very crowded and small. Unfortunately our flight was delayed for two days. We have informed immediately Diane and asked to prolong for 2 extra days and we received a positive conirmation. As we arrived she brought us to an appartment which was quite nice but 10 minutes far away from Hibiscus. The appartment was without cleaning and breakfast. She didn't offer to take the breakfast in Hibiscus (10 minutes to walk). As we complained the missing breakfast she brought 1 bottle of orange juice, toast, butter and cheese and 6 eggs from the supermarket (enough for two ore three breakfast), no coffee or tea. We had to buy all extra things. As well we had to pay the two lost days. It was not possible to get an agreement with her. We did not even received a refund for the missing breakfast. She was very unfriendly in this matter. We would not recommand this hotel.

Senti falta de ter ovos no café da manhã todos os dias. As camas são duas camas de solteiro unidas. O colchão é mais mole. Há apenas uma coberta fina.

The car rental was smooth, and the drive to Hibiscus Beach House was enjoyable. The hosts are incredible, and the location is perfect—quiet, 3m from the beach, which was relaxing. The restaurants on the shore and in the city are all amazing. The hostess recommended we visit a local festival, and we had the time of our lives. She was very caring, like we're her kids. The host was also super helpful, and both are amazingly positive people. They know how to run this kind of business. I wouldn't change anything about this trip.

The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great colorful décor and a nice soft bed. It was all very clean. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options! Diana made scrambled eggs, american pancakes, banana pancakes etc for us and everyday we got different fresh smoothies. Diana and Martin were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable, we could lend snorkel stuff and they gave us the best tips for discovering the island. It is 2 min walking to the supermarket and 5 min walking to the beach. Altogether, it was a perfect holiday for us! Definitely coming back! Nothing
• Alyssa (9/5): Superb - Diana and Martin were very warm and welcoming and provided lots of information on getting around Curaçao. Everything we needed was provided (beach towels, snorkel gear), rooms were very clean and although we only used the AC when in the room in the evening/night, it was very strong. We didn't use the pool and outdoor area but it looked very clean and relaxing. The location was perfect if you want to stay in Jan Thiel. Close to the main road, Jan Thiel beach, restaurants and a supermarket. WiFi worked well. Would definitely recommend! The bed was a little too soft for us (but it's a personal preference!) Everything else was perfect

The most comfortable bed with beautiful mosquito netting, delicious and hearty breakfast complete with fresh-squeezed juice and cappuchinos, fresh towels for both beach and shower, super quiet for sleeping, hammocks around the palm-lined pool for relaxing, interesting guests to share stories and recommendations with, strong wifi, and the best host/owner ever - Diana! Nearby restaurant choices within walking distance or 5 minute drive.
• Michelle (7/5): Hibiscus Beach House is a cute property which only allows AC use while you are present. The “studio” unit has a garden v - Hibiscus Beach House is in a great location. Only about 30 min from the airport and walking distance to Jan Thiel beach. The property is super cute. It felt like I was staying at my mother’s house with a lot of rules. If you didn’t get to breakfast right at 8am, all the items were picked through and you got what was left. I asked for a blanket and clean sheets and the host said, “Wow, you have a lot of demands.”

• G (10/5): Exceptional - Diana and Martin are super welcoming and helpfull. The garden is a nice quite place to relax if you want to get away from the bustling Jan Thiel beach area for a bit. A super relaxing start of the day to have breakfast by the garden! The location is great, just a short walk from the beach. Go to this place if you want to stay at Jan Thiel but prefer a quieter, more beautiful, and more personal stay than all the big resorts around. Absolutely nothing.
• Nicole (10/5): For a first time visit to the island, the stay was wonderful.. - The Hibiscus beach house is located in a very nice area in Jan Thiel. It was very close to the beach, public transportation and other facilities. Diana and Martin were great hosts. They were very warm and welcoming and made our stay quite enjoyable. Great options for breakfast and we enjoyed the fresh juices we were treated to and the pancakes Diana would make on some mornings. We felt as though we were staying with relatives. I also liked the intimacy of the space as the facility only accommodates a handful of guests at any one time. This is definitely a space to check out when you want a great place to stay in Curacao. Everything was perfect.
• Lara_croft108 (9/5): Cozy and nice - This is a great B&B for peaceful and relaxing time in Curacao. It's located near Jan Thiel Beach (3-4 min walk). There are 5-6 restaurants at the beach. Also, dutch supermarket is 2 min away, where you can get fresh orange juice, croissants, and pastries. I liked that everything was in walking distance. The owners of the Hibiscus Beach house, Martin and Diana, are very friendly and welcoming. They provided information about sightseeings, restaurant recommendations, and an introduction about Curacao. It was great to have continental breakfast in the morning (8-10 am) and a fresh cap of cappuccino. On top of that, after 2 nights, I got room upgrade to a bigger room with pool & garden access. Martin&Diana can organize you a transfer to and from the airport and you can rent a car here as well It was a pleasant stay and a nice retreat here. Thanks again, Martin & Diana! I wish there were fewer mosquitoes and mosquito screens on the windows. Mosquitoes are everywhere on the island. They ate me non-stop, spray, or no spray ;(( It would be great if door locks were automatic or with a code, so you don't need to unlock and lock them with different keys every time you are in and out.

• Lindsay (10/5): The apartment at B&B Hibiscus Beach House is an immaculate & beautiful home away from home in Curacao! The apart - The Owners, Martin & Diana could not have been more wonderful. They are delightful hosts who offer a wife range of different breakfast items every morning, ranging from tropical fruits such as passion fruit & kiwi, homemade yogurt, pumpkin pancakes, waffles, & the traditional Dutch cold cuts, along with excellent cappuccinos! They are very knowledgeable about all of Curacao attractions & activities, are extremely well organized, & have an immaculate property in a fabulous neighborhood, just a 4-minute walk from Papagallo & Jan Thiel beaches. The B&B courtyard has beautiful Royal Palm Trees, tropical flowers and hammocks around a cozy pool. The brand new apartment has a large walk-in shower and mini-kitchen with electric kettle, microwave, small range, dishes, cups, silverware - everything you need to prepare your own meals, & the Papagallo grocery store is only a 2-minute walk away!
• Colin (10/5): Great property, amazing location, fabulous value!! - Super cute property with a lovely backyard and AMAZING location. Only a 5 min walk to Jan Thiel Beach and Papagayo Beach Club! We spent both days on the beach and then came back to enjoy the lovely pool and facilities at Hibiscus. Also great food options + grocery nearby. Good breakfast. NA
