Mozzies they were relentless perhaps a couple of citrinalla burners out in courtyard would be great.

- Hanna (10/5): - loved the location and the old cottage. The interior makes you step back into the olden times - a real get away. Yet all facilities are there incl. DVD's, a bookshelf filled with a great collection of books & the vintage vinyl player. Would definately recommend and come back.
- Lea (9/5): Quaint historical cottage with most modern conveniences. - Old world charm. Great library, fresh flowers in room. Nice personal touches. Comfy beds. Had trouble regulating water temp in shower, but had great water pressure.
- Jane (7/5): -
- Julie (8/5): The weather was terrible but the cottage was cosy. It was disappointing to find lots of restaurants in Queenscliff close - Great location and welcomed my dog.
- Mark (10/5): The perfect way to time travel in Queenscliff. - This cute two bedroom cottage was absolutely perfect for a retro Queenscliff adventure. Walk back in time and you are literally in the early 20th Century with interesting day-to-day artefacts all over the place… along with all the mod cons. It truly is a ‘rose covered cottage’… complete with the picket fence. I sincerely hope the next time we’re visiting the Bellarine Penninsula, Twomey’s Cottage is available. Loved it… full stop.
- DCDonald (10/5): Awesome location in a period cottage - Super location and loverly warm historic cottage in Queenscliff VIC. Very clean Not much.
- Chris (10/5): - The hostess was extremely helpful and obliging
- Vera (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (2/5): Couldn’t wait to get home. - Cute Cold! Very. Heating one room only is not enough. When going away a little luxury is expected. This place might be okay in summer ( although no aircon could be a problem) but in winter it is not.
- John (8/5): Very good -

sleeping with history .
- Clare (10/5): Perfect spot for a getaway - Loved the Cosy Feel of the Cottage, while having all the mod cons and essentials. Beautiful collection of books and old school items.
Clean, perfect location to walk to the main street or beach
- Rohan (10/5): Take in the sea breeze - What a delight!!! Step back in time whilst keeping the modern stuff and comfort. And the location is awesome ditch the car. Not a thing!!
- Glenda (8/5): A very cosy authentic cottage, great location. -
- Wallace (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rodney (8/5): A very nice experience and ideal for two couples. - The location is excellent and when people book a cottage it stands to reason that it is not a 5 star glitzy hotel. It was very comfortable and just a short walk to beach or shopping or the club for a meal. Bed was comfortable and the quaint historical elements add to the experience. The street is narrow and parking to allow for passing cars is just adequate. The street none the less is not well trafficked so quite safe.
- Rosslyn (8/5): Perfect spot to stay after a night on the Blues Train. - Location was great.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - A gorgeous, comfortable ideally located gem
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -

- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Lorella (8/5): Quaint cottage with lots of charm. Has all the mod cons that you could need. - It was a quaint cottage with all the mod cons you could need. Great location I thought the price was a bit high given we were not going during school holidays etc.
- Herschel (7/5): short and sweet - old world serenity in a good position.
very peaceful
- Stephen (10/5): We loved the property - Wonderful location - in a quiet street, but 3 minutes walk to beach one side, and 2 minute walk to the main street on the other side. Very welcoming and affable hosts.
- Jenny (8/5): Very good -
- Dylan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joan (9/5): Superb - We went back in time to circa 1860.
I don't think much has changed except for the addition of power shower etc.
- Lee (10/5): Will definitely be back. Thanks, Deb. - Very quaint and original cottage. Fabulous location. Loved all of the original features and character. Well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Enjoyed the backyard table for pre-dinner drinks, and then the open fire once the evening chill descended. Deb was a delightful host and ensured we had all we needed for our stay. Great value for money. All was as pictured- actually, even better.
- Sylvia (10/5): Comfortable, convenient & wonderfully characterful - We were so delighted and comfortable !
- Jenny (2/5): Not recommended. - The location is wonderful, in historic Queenscliff and a short walk to the beach. The cottage is very much in need of being refreshed. While superficially clean, the walls are desperately in need of sugar soaping or a coat of paint. Furniture was covered in old cushions and rugs. The place smelt stale and funky and this was not masked by various scented reeds throughout, which made it smell worse.
- Narelle (8/5): Very good -
- Caitlin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kym (8/5): Restful, great walking and cosy - It was quaint and close to shops and great walks The bed was a little hard for me but may be ok for others
- Maureen (8/5): Very good -
- Mia (10/5): It was the right place to stay for a night and finish the work the next day. - The character and the story of the house.

- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Andre (7/5): nice and short - history and charm thought it was on the beach
- Laura (8/5): Very good -
- Carolynlee (8/5): Very good - Ideally positioned in Queenscliff to do tour of Fort and close to street. Cottage is quirky and comfortable. Host made us most welcome and fresh flowers in the vase was a nice touch.
- Darren (8/5): Great relaxing weekend by the sea in a beautiful little historically significant cottage. - Deb is great (owner) met me there and told me some history as well as showing me through. It was a quaint little cottage, good for a relaxing weekend and that's what I was looking for. Deb, I don't know if you can see this but 3 things for you to do to improve the property. 1 get rid of things that don't work (like the coffee machine) it's confusing. 2. Get an outside shower or at least tap so poeple can wash the beach off before entering. 3. Couch cushions need some tape of velcro or fixing to the base, they keep slipping forward, very comfy couch but the cushions keep creeping off every time you move. That's all. I loved my stay and the place and will book again! Just giving some friendly , honest critic.
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (4/5): We were disappointed by the house but enjoyed our stay. Queenscliff is a beautiful historic town. - The location is very convenient and walkable to the town. The bed was comfortable. Supply of fresh herbs and flowers from the garden thoughtful.
Large flat screen TV and lots of books. Pretty garden. Gas heating in the living room. A good size fridge.
There is a large new front loading washing machine which we did not need for our stay.
Appreciated we could take our aging cat who requires daily care. This property may suit some but for us it was too cluttered with old uncomfortable sofas and armchairs particularly with my back problem.
I found the furnishings worn and shabby rather than charming and eclectic.
There is no bathroom. There is a shower (with curtain) and toilet in the laundry to service enough accommodation for 5 people. We were only two. There is plenty of hot water but it was difficult to regulate the temperature.
We were asked to provide our own bed linen and towels because of Covid without a reduction in cost. There seemed to be a difference between the information on Booking.com and the owner's understanding.
On the site firewood is supplied at an addition charge but this was not the case and the fireplace was not in operation.
There is no air conditioning so the cottage would be quite hot in the summer.
There is no wifi.
I really regret having to give a negative review as the owner was so friendly.
- Susan (10/5): Relaxed in a charming environment - Beautiful location , cottage full of charm lovely hosts will definitely be back
