• Julio (3/5): Never again! not to the basic standard for a holiday - - The rental property is not far from Shelly Beach although you will need to walk down to it on a road through the Sea Acres Rainforest Reserve - With 3 bedrooms, a large living area, a especial TV room and a large garden with a wooden deck this place will be good for families with kids (but need to be properly cleaned) - It is located some five minutes driving to the Lighthouse beach and 3 minutes to the Sea Acres Rainforest Reserve and cafe - Smelly and very dirty carpets and mats - these have not been washed or cleaned for a long time. The smell was overwhelming as we entered the property so I folded all carpets and removed from their location; I had to vacuum the areas where the carpets were and it was lots of sand, dust and fluff (photos) - Vacuum machine - it was full with dust, fluff and dirt from previous use and nobody had the care to clean it up before a new rental was approved, accepted and paid. We left the vacuum machine as it was as I did not want to catch any virus or bugs that may have been growing there (photos) - Cooking pots, saucepans and baking trays - all burnt and useless as they pose a health hazard if used (photos) - The oven is dirty and needs a deep cleansing before using it - The blinds and curtains are mouldy! (photos) - Outdoor chairs (six of them) - already damaged by weather, dirty and all located on a concrete patch without any covering from the sun. These have some 'cushions' but upon checking them, they were dirty and ready for replacement (photos) - The small barbeque was covered with a plastic sheet and strapped with a small rope and we did not bother finding out its condition… - The TV room has two sofas, one of leather and the other of some textile, the leather one had a cover that was and old hessian bag with holes while the textile had a section ripped and covered with a mat; there was an Ottoman with four holes on it (photos) and a rusty old fan - The dining table is an old table with scratches all over it and a plastic cover placed on top and affixed with some plastic tape; the table cloth was dirty and we had to wash it in the washing machine - The washing machine had not been cleaned at all as it has black stuff around the plastic sealing and door; there were only five washing tablets of dubious performance and origin but we had to use the washing machine to wash the tablecloth and all towels including the five beach towels hanging in the corridor ...
• Melissa (6/5): Great location, but not very dog friendly - Great location, very peaceful and a mere 7 min walk to Shelleys Beach. Beautiful linen and guest toiletries Not dog friendly: lovely secure backyard, but no sheltered area; Laundry has a doggy door but it is sealed up; dogs allowed inside but not on furniture. There is a sign in the property “Please do NOT leave pets unattended at the property”, so no going to restaurants or swim at beach (no patrolled beaches allow dogs).
• Chris (10/5): Very comfortable, clean and welcoming home in a great position with excellent amenities. - The property was clean, spacious and felt very comfortable and welcoming. The backyard was large and sunny and the house was well equipped with high quality linen. The home is in a great location, close to the beach and town. We liked everything about the property.
