Guest Reviews
- Douglas (10/5): - Everything. Amazing house and perfect for our family gathering. Nothing
- Kristin (10/5): -
- Catherine (9/5): Sensational accommodation - We all loved it, thought it was sensational with luxury feeling and fantastic location and space. Suggestion... providing bottles water and larger milk. There is no powerpoint in the laundry to be able to use iron in there.
- Marlis (10/5): Comfortable and warm with the fireplace fire on a cold Christmas morning.Excellent location. -
- helen (10/5): Superb. - We loved the spacious nature of the property for a group of 7 friends traveling to celebrate a friends significant birthday. The property is comfortable and beautiful, well maintained and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking and serving implements which can on occasion be lacking. Not here.
The property would certainly suit families traveling together looking for outdoor safe space for children and it is an easy walk of 5 minutes to town. We loved the wood burner fire and it was well supplied with wood. The spa makes a welcome addition after spending the day on the wine trail for a pre dinner drink and soak. The Stanley pub was a find for a fabulous dinner.
Overall thoroughly recommend.
- Tony (9/5): - Our host was fantastic in his responses to us.
- Greg (10/5): - spa was awesome
nice and handy to town
loved the old key the only thing bad was the hard beds
- Paddy (10/5): Exceptional - Outstanding home!!! Beautiful blend of history with contemporary main living area and modern comforts throughout. A group of 8 of us stayed over an incredibly cold long weekend and this home was so warm, cozy and comfortable with heating and fireplaces. The house is very well equipped, especially the kitchen and made cooking a dream. The outdoor spa was divine!! And the location within town very convenient to pop up the street to cafes, breweries, shops or just explore - yet totally private when within the property and grounds. Nothing!
- Wang (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (10/5): Perfect in every aspect - Fantastic location, easy walk to main street. Facilities were second to none, outstanding.
- Kylie (10/5): Had a great time with great friends. - Love the old meets new. Fantastic location.
- Pamela (10/5): Exceptional - Loved everything about this restored older and newer home, perfect location and even though was on corner of 2 main roads there was minimal traffic noise inside. Fantastic huge back yard for kids and plenty of games for them to play with, plus bikes if we wanted to use them. Nothing not to like, loved it all.
- George (10/5): Awesome property in a great location. Clean and all facilities provided. -
- Chelsea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (10/5): Outstanding luxury accommodation, great layout and very well fitted out. Superb house. - Outstanding house, lots of room, lovely old bedrooms, excellent array of cooking implements, huge stove, massive table to seat everyone, great big BBQ, wood fire (with wood), separate TV room, ample lawn and garden and an easy walk to town centre. Only enough sofa space in the main room for 5 people. Would loved to have learnt a bit more about the history of the house and some of the earlier owners / occupiers (but this is not really a complaint).
- Jane (10/5): Perfect Girls weekender - Beautifully appointed. Gorgeous rooms that were sympathetic to the original building. Huge accomodation. Nothing
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bernadette (10/5): had a great time with family & friends in a beautiful property - great location, walking distance to town nothing, liked everything!
- Anonymous (10/5): Loved the beautiful home & property , outlook to trees / garden was magnificent on property - Everything! stunning home. We thought the spa had a bad smell so we didn’t use it. Cloudy water.
Rubbish bins outside hadn’t been put out prior to our arrival, they were full.
Not enough kindling to start the fire in main living area.
- Lesley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): This was an amazing few days away in a magnificent property. it is obvious the owners have put a lot of time and effort - Everything! it is spectacular in every way, provides genuine value for money and is in a fantastic location. The group I stayed with discussed possible shortcomings of this property and genuinely couldn’t identify a single one.
- Josin (10/5): Exceptional -
