- Christine (6/5): Large Family Home With Ocean Views - Plenty of beds for large families, 2 lounge areas, lovely grassed area, large kitchen, fantastic views, small but nice pool. The property needs a bug barrier application. We encountered lots of pests (spiders, beetles, cockroaches, a rat, silverfish, ants) in the home. We live on a bush property ourselves, so we're not exaggerating when we say the house has a bug problem. All areas need to be de-cobwebbed. There was a large wasp nest on the bottom verandah area so we couldn't use that space.
The main living area had one aircon unit which didn't quite facilitate the area enough to cool it properly. On arrival it was extremely hot and was difficult to cool it down. The aircon also had an infestation of ants come out of it once we turned it on. After the ants finally died off, it leaked water down the wall and onto the floor causing a slip hazard. We had to leave a towel there constantly. This particular unit also made a constant buzzing sound.
A shade sail for the pool would be a nice touch to protect from the sun. Its a small pool so it would be quite simple to shade it in summer.
The sliding doors for the balcony were extremely difficult to open , definitely need some repairs to roll properly. Therefore we didn't use the balcony due to the door problem and the bug problem.
The master bedroom has no privacy for the bathroom and toilet as you can be seen from the balcony.
The lighting in the hall bathroom is inadequate, much more light needed.
- Graeme (8/5): Big comfortable house with comfortable beds and stunning ocean views by but needs a bit of maintenance - Excellent location with sweeping views of the ocean . Plenty of space with comfortable beds. Sliding doors (6) were very hard to open. Stairway to downstairs needs a handrail. TV’s hard to get working despite instructions. (Gave up on lower room TV). Pool is small compared to the online photo and Tennis court has cracks in the asphalt surface which would make it dangerous to play on.
- emma (6/5): It was a nice relaxing get away house however am disappointed in some areas - The view is amazing defiantly the selling point for us. The house inside was clean and tidy. Very spacious. Beautiful house. Everything you need is available in the house which is great. The outside areas of the house need a lot of maintenance. It was disappointing going out to enjoy the outdoor areas to see weeds everywhere, over grown bushes and grass growing all through the garden beds near the tennis court. The gardens are very different now compared to the photos in the listing. The downstairs bedroom main light didn’t work guessing it was blown. Tried to use the aircon in the second bedroom and it wouldn’t stay on (that was the only one being used at the time). The sliding door to the balcony was so hard to open we only just managed to open it. if we were unable to open that it would’ve been disappointing not being able to sit out there.
- Spiros (8/5): Very good -
- Smail (5/5): Interesting, did not live up to marketing / advertising - The property managers resolved a couple of maintenance issues within 24 hours which was great. The views were spectacular. The beds and bed linen were good. The kitchen was well equipped. Amazing art. I liked the layout of the house albeit dated, the room configuration suited our families needs. When you arrived it felt as though you had arrived at an abandoned house, the grounds were unkempt and gardens full of weeds. The amazing house was tired in places and needed up dating plus some long over due maintenance. It was blowing a gale and there was loose iron or something on roof which banged all night which kept us awake. We had visitors in the night also who ate from our fruit bowl, some rodent control needed. There were black roller blinds which were aging and did nothing to keep heat in.
- Gordon (8/5): great location and perfect for entertaining/dining weekend, just needs maintenance to meet the execu - Thanks for a great weekend, the house position, views and set out was perfect for our family weekend, loved the fully equipped kitchen and the large dining table that was perfect for our stay. We had a great weekend with our family. The house is great, but we really need to comment on the need for maintenance in line with the house being executive level stay. Without focusing on the weather/ water damage across the house, which we understand happens this close to the sea, there are issues with lighting, the master bedroom/toilet isn't really acceptable and the tennis courts, although we used them for the kids to play, aren't useable as proper tennis courts
- Matthew (5/5): False advertisement - The view was lovely A hot tub is a hot tub that seats about 5 to 6 people, this was advertised as having a hot tub insted it was a spar bath downstairs in a locked area of the house this was a disappointment, and the pool was unusable it was dirty it was a joke, this house was falsely advertised in my eyes and not worth the price
