- Madelaine (2/5): Unsafe access, unclean house. - The access to the property is unsafe and unreliable if you’re not in a four wheel drive. It’s a long unsealed driveway/road with huge chunks out of it that our sedan got stuck in and took a lot of manoeuvring to get out of. It would be very unsafe to attempt by yourself especially at night because there’s no phone service so if you go stuck you couldn’t call for help. The host sent some pretty aggressive messages about not bothering the neighbours but didn’t say which of the properties in the block belong to them so not sure how you’d get help - possibly walking along the highway but can’t imagine that would be a safe option at night. I get that everyone’s trying to make some extra money in this economy but if you can’t offer safe access to your property you shouldn’t be renting it out. It would also be ok just to say in the description four wheel drive access only - then at least we wouldn’t have been surprised and stressed trying to work out how to get around all the ditches and avoid getting stuck on loose gravel and dirt.
The house itself was not clean, there were dead bugs stuck to every surface - the walls, the shower, the cooking oil etc. Initially we thought it was mould because it was spread across the walls like mould but it was dead bugs. The surfaces that weren’t covered in bugs were covered in cobwebs and dust. I’ve attached photos but unsure they do it justice.

- Andrew (8/5): - Location to wedding we attended, setting on edge of dam and wildlife and farm animals that came close Deck could have been bigger, no comfortable seating, access would have been difficult in a 2 wheel drive car
- Amanda (7/5): Good location close to horse riding - Very close (8 min drive) to Chapman Valley Horse Riding. Excellent Starlink WiFi. The tiny house was very clean and an extra blanket had been provided in case of the need for extra warmth. The reverse cycle air-conditioner heating worked well although at times it would cut out even when the room had definitely not reached the set temperature on the thermostat. But still worked quite sufficiently to make the small space comfortable. At the farm I saw cows, pigs, alpacas, sheep, kangaroos and two very friendly donkeys. Be sure to bring a bag of carrots for the animals! Some new welcome mats and rugs would help to freshen up the space and make it more inviting.
- Sinem (7/5): Secluded stay however not very clean and well maintained. Go prepared - The location was secluded and peaceful with animals onsite paying you a lovely visit during your stay. Go prepared with food & water. Don’t expect a clean property. There was dog fur on towels, the toilet had dry faeces and clearly not cleaned properly after the last stay. There was hair over the toilet and dog fur on kitchen counter including the dish wand.
We bought our own utensils, plates and pots etc and luckily we did as the utensils offered were not clean. No stove onsite however they have a hot plate top. If bringing own pans etc keep in mind the hot plate does not work for ALL pots/pans. Our stainless steel pot worked however our nonstick pan did not. The property has great potential however needs a lot of maintenance. No heating even though the air conditioning specifically states heating & cooling. Luckily we were prepped with extra clothing because it was freezing. Constant reminders were also given to clean BBQ area however the BBQ was not clean to begin with. Does not look like the property is cleaned well in between stays.
The property could also do with minimal touches like offering hand torches to guests, having a guest book for personalised reviews and notes etc .
- Asha (8/5): Very good - Farm animals, stars at night, good air conditioning and shower Needs a deep clean, especially the kitchen utensils and cupboards they are kept in, coffee capsules didn’t work properly with the machine, knives were blunt
- Sommer (8/5): Maggies glamping style camping !!! - Perfect weather we had for the weekend
Large selection of animals to see and interact with ..we seen turtles , highland cows , donkeys , lamas, geese, wallabies, ducks , pigs, birds, monitor lizards ,possums , red belly snake , it's the bush in summer , except they are around and watch your dog !!
Doggo friendly
We met the host and the dog on-site lovely people. Air con works good , clean , hot water , wifi was good on-site..
- Adrian (9/5): Lovely stay in a peaceful location. - The pdf was very informative and made it easy to access and leave the property while maintaining privacy. We loved seeing the donkeys and the cows in the mornings and they were all so friendly! The little pond out the front of our tinyhome also made for great birdwatching and overall the location is lovely!
- Johann (9/5): Superb -
- Ben (9/5): Really enjoyed the stay. Love seeing the wildlife that would visit the pond. Love spending time around the fire pit. Goo - Enjoyed the location right by the pond Didn’t have a heater, only an aircon which is too loud to run through the night. So we ended up freezing
- Erin (8/5): Perfect location to swtich off and enjoy nature - Stunning location and a really well equipped tiny house. it was great to be able to take our dog with us.
We took our own camping chairs and picnic blanket. We were given outdated information by the property manager in the PDF so didn't have the Wifi key to call the host when we need to speak to them. This was not the host's fault.
No outdoor shelter or shade from the sun or rain.
Make sure you have plenty of drinking water - it's a long drive to get more
- Havarna (10/5): Wonderful place to stay! Was expecting a nice relaxing getaway & Maggie’s farm exceeded expectations - Location, host, animals! Nothing!
- Ganniam (9/5): Getting close to nature - Me and wife loved the cows, kangaroo, donkey, ducks. It is close to nature. Nothing to complain
- Nathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zhichao (4/5): Disappointing - It’s an experience No wifi, no reception, hard to find
- Conor (8/5): Very relaxing and a great place to unwind. - The property was clean and fully equipped with all the facilities you needed. The lack of phone coverage is a blessing as it provides Perfect time to unwind and get away.
The land is nice with the roaming farm animals. The outdoor furniture has no covering so when it rains you have no where to sit and eat as the furniture gets wet. The furniture is also in need of updating.
- Giulia (10/5): Amazing experience, one I have already recommended to friends and family. Host Sharryn was exceptional! - Such a memorable experience. Sharryn was an exceptional host and ensured we were comfortable. In our stay. She was kind enough to show us around the property and we met lots of farm animals. I would definitely recommend this stay. Remote. No reception. But okay to go without for a night stay.
- Sik (9/5): Great gateway - Lovely lake view with lots of kangaroos
- Pauline (9/5): Superb - Location, heating, cows roaming, comfortable bed, clean, well equipped No stove though mentioned in description, coffee pods poor quality.
- Tim (9/5): Delightful spot for a tranquil break - Location, solitude, setting by the dam, outdoor firepit
- Michael (9/5): Excellent location to detach - How secluded it is. Nothing.
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (9/5): Perfect couples getaway - Loved the location Interior could have been more nicely presented
- Sie-hoon (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful scenery, lovely farm animals, pet friendly, clean and user friendly tiny home.
Sharryn was very responsive. Chris was lovely to meet and helped us out when we needed extra supplies.
