The house is set right in the middle of an active cattle farm, which made it feel incredibly peaceful and authentic. Waking up to those wide open views and being surrounded by nature was simply breathtaking. The scenery is absolutely stunning — rolling hills, fresh country air, and total serenity. It was the perfect place to switch off and just enjoy time together as a family.
The home itself is older, but that’s part of its charm. It has a beautiful, cosy feel that makes you instantly comfortable. It’s very well-equipped with everything a family could possibly need, and the bedding was excellent — clean, comfortable, and inviting after a day outdoors.
Because the house is quite isolated (which we loved!), Janey was incredibly helpful with clear directions and guidance to make sure we found it easily. Her communication and support made everything smooth and stress-free.
If you’re looking for a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, with comfort and charm, this place is truly special. We would absolutely stay again.

- Jennifer (8/5): Beautiful vista - Location. Fantastic vista. Well equipped kitchen. The information on booking.com indicated that the property was air-conditioned. There was air-conditioning in the kitchen area but nowhere else. Fireplace in living room. No heating in bedroom. A bit chilly . Not a huge problem as we had plenty of warm clothes. However more specific information about extent of ac might be appropriate especially for winter guests.
- Carole (9/5): Aussie ark trip - House was wonderful for family gathering. Plenty of space and comfortable rooms. Kids had a wonderful time. House was a lot more remote than I expected - this changed our plans dramatically - really need to take all supplies with you
- Christina (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, very approachable hosts , excellent communication
- James (10/5): Relaxing, beautiful scenery and fun - The location was stunning and the property had everything we needed A lot of bugs and flies but I guess if you are on farmland that is to be expected
- Lyndall (9/5): Superb - Beautiful location, wonderful cosy home.
- Nicole (10/5): This was the recharge I needed - Amazing views , relaxing and very comfortable. Beautiful trails near by . Very friendly owners with great communication
- Gavin (9/5): Superb - Location and unique cottage. Nil
- Alia (10/5): The drive to the house was exciting, and the fire was perfect. The house was so warm and comfortable - Driving in was fantastic and beautiful.
Wow!
- Nicola (8/5): The Woll is charming and character filled. Set in ideal surrounds, perfect for a relaxing stay. - The location was ideal for the plans we had made in the area. The cottage was delightful and cosy, the scenery magnificent. Kitchen very well equipped. Could have been a little cleaner, some very obvious things were neglected but it didn’t change how we felt about the place. Severe case of hammer pipes when turning on taps.
- Katherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shevonne (10/5): Verdant views of the very best of NSW. - We knew the views would blow us away.... and they really did. They are truly exceptional and vary through the day. We absolutely loved staying here. The gauze screens on all the doors meant we could go to sleep with doors open listening to the river, crickets and bird-life. And the cows from time to time too, of course. A wallabi visited at dusk one evening and we saw many from afar. One bedroom is off the veranda with no other connection to the bathrooms or rest of the house, no real hardship but worth pointing out. This traditional farm house has everything you need. We drove to Barrington Tops for walks in the national park. If you plan to eat out.... this is too far from anywhere to make that practicable. Take food to fully self-cater and enjoy it.
The most annoying thing was the barking dogs in the farm on the opposite side of the valley.... they bark solidly for 30 mins at c5.30am every morning. Rather jarred with the rest of the peace, though I appreciate it is working farming area.

- Craig (8/5): If your after serenity than this is the place for you, ticks all the boxes. - The location was perfect to get away from the Hustle and bustle. The Track down to the swimming hole could have been a bit more manageable and defined
