Guest Reviews
- Thanyaporn (10/5): - Highly recommend, should spend two more nights here.
I’m so glad that even though we had a short stay, we really enjoyed staying here. They provided eggs, bread, juice, and everything we needed for the day. The accommodation was very well equipped and made our stay comfortable and convenient. Besides everything I mentioned, they also have lovely Sheep’s and Alpaca and also you can feed the food for them
- Alma Kristiāna (10/5): 10/10 - Alpacas and cute decor.
- Lijuan (10/5): -
- Kristina (9/5): Excellent stay, comfortable, cute animals to talk to - Cute little cottage with lots of homely accessories Close to road, but road was not that busy
- Paul (9/5): Lovely - Location was excellent, good facilities, breakfast provided.
Saw fabulous sunset over Mount Wellington and a ray in the shallow waters of the bay. Nothing
- SELVARAJAH (9/5): - The alpacas and sheep were lovely, as well as good recommendations for walking trails and a well stocked kitchen. N/A
- Catherine (10/5): The cottage owners provide you with a lovely breakfast…all the things you could want, which you make yourself. The addit - The property is private, near the road which is quiet after 8pm. The farm animals added to our enjoyment…you can feed them! The location which is close to the tessalated pavement, and Devils arch is superb. Close to Dunalley as well to dine at the Cannery…a wonderful restaurant. I liked it all!
- Agnes (10/5): Highly comfortable and recommended - absolutely amazing! Cosy, comfortable, many beautiful accessoires. Nice breakfast, especially fresh eggs. Lots of varieties, even some spices and oil for cooking. Fire wood for outside .Alpaca and sheep outside always hungry... Some food provided to feed them. beds really good. Scott very obliging and asking, if we need anything else. Lots to do around: Port Arthur, Tasman National Park, Coal Historic Site, Sorell, Playground in Murdunna... Not far from Richmond and Hobart. Highly recommend maybe some more pots and pans,
- Amit (10/5): Great hosts... - Cottage was so clean and the hosts put a lot of care into everything. Every little thing was well arranged and considered. Breakfast was very generous as well. Nothing to dislike here...

- Steven (8/5): - Attention to detail and a welcoming feel upon arrival. Great choice of breakfast foods, very well stocked. Clean and comfortable. Not much, the towels could do with renewing.

- Maretta (10/5): Absolutely fabulous that we would highly recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in this area. - What a delightful experience. The hosts had thought of everything and ensured we felt very special during our two night stay. Even some home made biscuits and farm fresh eggs. The hand written personalised notes were appreciated, as were all the treats and extras that were there for us to enjoy. The pet sheep and alpacas added an extra charm to the experience. Nothing what so ever could be better, it was fabulous.
- Maria (9/5): -

- Ch00klady (10/5): - Winganah Cottage was one of the cosiest, most welcoming places I have ever stayed in. Everything here was obviously done with love and care - all these little extra touches that felt like a warm hug and a smile, right from the handwritten welcome note to the fresh supplies left in the fridge for us. There was nothing utilitarian in this place. Instead, it had all the comforts of a home and more than we would ever have expected. The animals were the final special touch that made our stay so memorable - we laughed about the sheep baaahing at us when sitting outside, the chickens clucking and those two adorable alpacas waiting to get their treat. Thank you to Linda and Scott, you have created something very special here and we were sad to leave.
- Kay (7/5): Animal friendly. - Lovely quirky property in rural setting.
Enjoyed the alpacas & sheep. Lack of contact with hosts.
- Graeme (9/5): One of the best we have ever stayed in. Highly recommended. - The generous touches. E.g: fresh eggs, juices, bread, even gluten free cereal. A wee bit of traffic noise, but very quiet after dusk.
- Loren (10/5): -
- Don (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Danielle (10/5): -
- Liam (9/5): -
- Alan (8/5): -
- Emily (10/5): Absolutely wonderful experience, only wish we stayed longer! - This place was so cozy and perfect! The owners were very generous and left us with a stocked kitchen. Getting to feed the sheep and alpaca was a highlight. Animals living on the property sometimes make noises at night - but that’s part of the experience!
- Steveb (10/5): -
- Jesse (10/5): -
- Troy (10/5): - Everything. Simply amazing.
- Ameerah (8/5): -
- Jin (9/5): - The experience of staying in a cottage in Tasmania, and with the sheep and alpacas, but the sheep are always hungry.😆 The stove’s heat is not strong enough.
- Leeanne (10/5): Fantastic stay, highly recommend and so affordable! - Clean, everything you could think of while travelling was supplied.
Breakfast was included and it was amazing - cereals, fruit, juice, eggs etc.
Alpaca’s and sheep were also nearby to view and feed - behind fences.
- Rebecca (10/5): We stayed in the cottage over Christmas and loved it all. - Everything. Every detail to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable was thought of Nothing
- LowriMair13 (10/5): Superb and perfection - Superb experience! I loved this beautiful place, it was so thought out and lovingly crafted by the owners, the beds were sumptuous, comfortable and it looked pretty. Every single thing you could need was in there and a continental style breakfast was perfect and an unexpected surprise! My children would have moved in permanently if given half a chance as there are sheep and chickens and alpacas they could feed and interact with onsite. Got into a sticky situation with a flat tyre while there and the owner helped me immediately. So very grateful. Thank you both. Nothing it was perfect.
- Guy (10/5): -
- Yitong (10/5): -
- Megan (9/5): - A really lovely cottage with all the amenities needed. The breakfast provisions provided were fantastic and the attention to detail made us feel very welcome!
- Debra (10/5): Quaint comfortable cottage - All the personal touches in the cottage were lovely. Lots of local information provided. Wonderful array of breakfast options. Loved the Alpacas.😊
- michael (10/5): - Loved everything and being able to feed the sheep and alpacas was a big plus
- Dee (10/5): A memorable place to stay and relax. - It was amazing, farm fresh eggs, plenty of cereal to choose, yoghurts and two choices of juices along with fruit, with choices of a variety of teas and coffee percolator. The bed were very comfortable and we were able to feed the farm animals sheep and alpacas so much fun. Nothing it was fantastic to stay here.
- May (9/5): Great place to stay. - The cottage contained everything we needed for our stay and was very clean. The llamas and sheep in the adjoining paddock were cute and were fun to feed. The cottage is in a rural location, so everything is a short car ride away but that wasn't a problem. Nothing
- Rini (8/5): Leuke cottage in landelijke omgeving - Persoonlijk woord van welkom, goed geoutilleerde cottage, landelijke ligging, ruime kamer, alles goed verzorgd Kleine douchecabine
- Roxlee (10/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): - We always stay here when visiting Tasmania. Its just perfect. Nothing
- claude (9/5): -
- Thomas Chee Sg (10/5): -
- Jan (10/5): - Wspaniałe, cudowne miejsce z sympatycznymi zwierzątkami. Pełna wygoda, piękny wystrój domku.
- Declan (10/5): - You have created such an enchanting and unique little cottage! We loved all the animals, even the cheeky chicken that jumped up on the table and stole my egg when we had brekkie outside (I guess technically it was hers)! The fully stocked kitchen was a wonderful surprise which made our stay so much easier and it was nice being close to so many beautiful places to explore. I cannot recommend Winganah Cottage enough, it will really make your stay in Tassie one to remember. Thank you so much!!
- Nicole (8/5): Nice quaint cottage with an old fashioned touch where you can enjoy a relaxed stay and enjoy feeding the animals. - Relaxed atmosphere, feeding the animals, extra goodies available for use at the property, good location, breakfast included, good communication. Lounge is uncomfortable and the boards under the cushions are not effective, needs replacing. Shower is small and cold tap very close to screen, damage already evident. Towels were a bit thin.
- Iliya (10/5): - Cozy and comfortable cottage and the hosts were very kind and really made sure we had a great stay! -
- Nanda (8/5): Prima plek voor overnachting op doorreis - Alles aanwezig.
- Pierre (9/5): - Le petit déjeuner était compris et très bien.

- Margaux (10/5): - Everything !
- Robert (10/5): -
- Zeenith (10/5): -
- MING (10/5): Good - As we wrap up our trip to Tasmania, the time spent at your place stands out as the most unforgettable part. You keep the house spotlessly clean, with every corner reflecting your care, which made us feel the warmth of home in a strange land.
The two alpacas and the little sheep were a wonderful surprise during our journey. They are so gentle and cute, and the way they nuzzled us while being fed has become the most precious memory of this trip. Lighting a bonfire at the door in the evening, watching the flames dance, and chatting with the evening breeze—this experience was healing and cozy, leaving a deep impression on our journey. no
- Alison (10/5): Great value, spotless cottage - Spotlessly clean. Really comfy and cozy. Great communication. Brilliant price and the sheep and alpacas made it fabulous
- Rebecca (9/5): Wonderful home away from home - Quiet farm cottage with almost everything supplied for self sufficient.
The wonderful animals outside our door.
Brilliant, will be back. The bed was uncomfortable
- Debra (10/5): -
- Sarah (9/5): - We found the cottage very comfortable and good value for money. It was cosy and cheery and we had everything we needed even though the cottage was small - including a nice shower, a cosy bed and a well-stocked kitchen. We appreciated having the breakfast supplies provided, especially the fresh eggs, and enjoyed feeding the animals. The cottage was easy to find and the check-in was smooth. It is very close to the highway but we didn't find it too noisy. We would certainly recommend it!
- Alexis (10/5): Cozy, warm and a lovely stay - The small touches like the fire wood, eggs in the fridge, laundry liquid, alpaca and sheep food. It was amazing.
- Sale (10/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): - Fantastic all around. The cottage had more amenities than we knew what to do with. Spacious, clean, comfortable. The animals were fun to feed and have around. Would love the opportunity to return
- Mel (10/5): Fabulous cottage on the peninsula. - Homely. Comfortable and clean. Great provisions. Warm. Love the sheep and alapacas. Close to the Dunalley pub. Perfect spot on the Peninsula.
- Andrea (10/5): We will be back for sure! - It was warm and cosy - had the best feel about it. Hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome (as did the animals on the property) Nothing - it was perfect
- Michelle (10/5): - Such a cosy cottage, very well insulated as we felt warm even without needing to turn on the heating. Great breakfast options, well stocked kitchen and very convenient to have access to laundry facilities. Beautiful quiet surroundings with the cute furry friends. Linda and Scott kindly were so hospitable and allowed us to check in earlier to allow us to put perishables in the fridge which was much appreciated! Unfortunately got spat on by the alpacas as we didn’t see we had to use the feeding bowl for them :( Need to make sure to use the feeding bowl for the alpacas! Otherwise they were content when the bowl was used
- LU (10/5): the best B&B experience I have ever had!!!! - 一切都很棒。有两只可爱的小羊和两只羊驼,房东贴心的准备了食物可以投喂他们!绝对的物超所值!!!!会推荐给所有朋友! 没有,太完美了!!!!
- Zbigniew (10/5): - Perfekcyjnie urządzone miejsce. Gospodarze dbają o wszystko w detalach.Pokoje obszerne, łóżka bardzo wygodne, wi-fi działa super. Śniadanie na słodko i duże porcje. Karmienie owiec i alpak dodatkowym atutem. Gorąco polecam

- Ing (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy, well laid out and equipped cottage. Felt right at home instantly and absolutely loved interacting with the sheep and alpacas in front of the cottage. Breakfast was good and the toilet was large with a washing basin. There were lots of hangers and hanging space too! It's the best B&B. That we didn't spend more time here!

- Kim (7/5): Good - The animals in the paddock Lack of dishwasher
- Zhi (10/5): Exceptional - Personable approach from the host - the hosts had a personal message telling us more information about the animals, nearby attractions and food, and provided an extremely well stocked kitchen which was helpful given the location of the cottage. None! The location might not be the best for most, but it was perfect for us. It allowed us a late entry and early exit out of port arthur (shaving 20-30mins each way!)
- Shaaron (10/5): Great place to escape and have contact with nature - The animals, and the cozy place. We felt at home Nothing to mentioned
